There's so many posts on this board about "how to succeed" on this forum, and they always remain silent about their real goal - ranking up to join a signature campaign. But you should ask yourself, is spending many hours per day to try to earn enough merit and have good posting history and then earn a couple hundred of dollars of extra money per month really worth it? Why not instead learn programming or writing or photoshop or video editing and earn much more money for the rest of your life instead of relying on signature campaigns that sooner or later will vanish.

I agree. Bitcointalk is a great place for anyone with a genuine interest in cryptocurrencies and who are open to learn something new. It's easy to find people who have the same interests through bitcointalk. It's something that has really helped me and I don't regret having come across it.

You do not have to follow anyone's footsteps to succeed here. Just relax and be yourself.

And secondly, one thing to hold on to is accepting the fact that anything good normally takes time. But this is one area where the majority fails to understand, because this generation we tend to see people who thinks it's easy to achieve any goal sharp sharp within a twinkle of an eye. But it's never always true.
So, patience and consistency is the key

6. The best you can do is to choose someone to follow, whose step and footprint in the forum is what you wish to
attain, then you see what he/she does so that you attain that.
There is nothing wrong to inspired by someone but deliberately follow someone footstep is like making yourself pressured to reach the goal he did. Its better to stay om your feet and who knows you might end up being greater with that someone, let him be a guide on you but dont ever imitate someone just like that its kinda weird.

Anyway OP, your suggestions are all good nothing wrongs with the points you emphasize here. But organically, you dont need to follow it, cause sometime some doing it but still they dont progress well.

Let this occur naturally, through posting, quoting and your activeness on this forum, you will be exposed to some established members which are good posters, provided if you are posting good. Once they are noticing you, you will have it more easy to rank up. But only when you post quality contents. Beginners should have it in their mind to also know that they have to read than they post, they should totally avoid plagiarism, even if it it one or two lines copied, the link has to be included which is appropriate.

In reality, you don't even need to follow a single rule(besides the common rules like spamming/plagiarism) lmao. If you're genuinely interested in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, you'll do great here. If you really need to "try hard", chances are, you're here solely for monetary reasons.

Ask the members who have a crap ton of merits. I could almost guarantee that most(if not all) of them don't follow "merit tips" or something like that.

Just don't... This is not really how you fit in with a group, it's how you look weird.

You should be trying to learn off as many people as possible on forums if you're not comfortable using them or with how they work. Users here often seem to have quite a bit of patience though too so don't put yourself under too much stress.

Get yourself familiar with what the platform is all about by reading about it first in your own language,
or being enlightened by the person that introduce you (if you were).
If your country of origin actually has a local board it could be a very good place to start with on the forum, if you do not have a local board, and you somewhat understand English, then you'll have zero problems familiarizing yourself with what the forum is all about. On the second point, I don't quite agree, majority of people who were introduced to the forum by people were told stories of how they can earn X amount of dollars by posting on the forum, quite a lot of users only expunged that ideology/mindset when they actually started posting on the forum and discovered it's benefits outside earning, as for those who stuck to what they were told, they either got banned for plagiarism/spamming or just grew into constant shitposters with zero development.

Having said that, one doesn't even need all this hackneyed instructions, what you basically must know is that this is a discussion forum for Bitcoin and other crypto related stuffs, just read and follow the rules and you'd be totally fine.

You will agree with me that patience is what drives someone to achieve good things in their endeavors.
This patience is seen from when one is introduced to an organization and forum that has rules & Regulations,
Do (s) & Don't, generally referred to as Instructions.

To excel as a newbie, then you have to:

1. Get yourself familiar with what the platform is all about by reading about it first in your own language,
or being enlightened by the person that introduce you (if you were).
2. Read all the rules that govern such a forum so as not to fall victim to some which attract punishments.
3. Acknowledge a problem that you feel is persistent and seen occurring daily and be able to prefer solution
to it in your own way.
4. Understand a given problem stated by someone so as to know the best contribution you can add to them.
5. Always bear at the back of your mind that, there is a reward for good works, and such come when there are
positive contributions and not on hasty basis.
6. The best you can do is to choose someone to follow, whose step and footprint in the forum is what you wish to
attain, then you see what he/she does so that you attain that.
7. When their is understanding and good knowledge, then one can prosper in the bitcoin and crypto world, so
you will see that patience will make you attain more desired heights.
