I'll check on this.

Topic pretty much says it all. I'm currently drafting a proposal for support by my school's open source software group to develop a Bitcoin-related project (still working out design details and project scope before posting here). Unfortunately I'm assuming that the reviewers of the proposal will go "wtf is this?", so I'm looking for input on the best way to explain Bitcoins and the mining process in a small amount of text to someone who hasn't heard of it before.

Thanks in advance.

I have an ebook for bitcoin, this might help, just let me know if you want to have a copy so i can send you one.  Smiley
