If you are paranoid sending your btc first to some wallet address and then sending them to your SR address is more than enough.
unless you are engaged into some massive "lawn care equipment" business (because let's face it, what kind of lunatic will buy "drugs" on silkroad ?).

Being from Australia changes things a little but I'd think long and hard before ever FEing. If its your last option try to PM him on the forums and check into his reputation thoroughly beforehand. The only people who get scammed are the ones who don't do their homework! Good luck!
Every single deposit to Silk Road uses a brand new wallet address. Once any funds are deposited there they are all mixed together in a tumbler. All the coins are constantly mixed together breaking up the blockchain links into thousands of pieces. I wouldn't worry about it
unfortunately living in australia nearly every seller wants you to finalize early, haven't made a purchase yet but very temted just to see if it makes it through the toughest borders in the world
I did it non-anonymously and nothing happened. HOWEVER, yes, in theory if you send coins directly from your exchange to SR it is likely that can be recorded and proven at a later date. Putting funds into SR isn't illegal though. You could just be on there to buy lawn care equipment or something else legal so you shouldn't worry too much.
If you're paranoid enough to post a topic about it though I'd recommend buying from a local bitcoin dealer for cash or from some of the dealers on CL or even on these forums using escrow.
Two rules to keep you very safe on SR:
1) NEVER FE
2) NEVER sign for a package

those that have seen title know what i'm talking about, please don't chew my head off would reall like to know if its ok to send my bitcoins from my exchange (virwox ) directly to my SR account, is it that simple just want to know if i'm actually starting to grasp the way that side of the bitcoin works any help from this great community would be greatly appreciated
