Your exchange must be better than other competitors on the market first. Nowadays there too much crypto exchanges, traders have many choices so they won't think about a new exchanges unless the new is better. Although your exchange has good promotion campaign, the newcomers only come for bonus, and they will quit after get their money. So, make your exchange good first, determine what you can offer to your users, what you need to make better, to attract users. You must research through the exist exchanges on the market now to have a deep knowledge about recent exchange market, what is their weakness, what they lack, how you can make it better. For example, you should focus on cyber security, deposit and withdraw speed, trading interface, advance trading for experts, simply trading for newbie, bonus and loyalty reward, fees. You also need to think of more functions like accept fiat withdraw to bank account, credit card integration.

What could be some good ways to promote an exchange service like Changelly? How to become noticed here?

Could you guys name some efficient methods? I know that there are signature campaigns, but not sure if they are efficient to get customers. I think when the users see such a campaign they reflectively think: "aha, that is an ad, not interested". Or maybe I underestimate it, I don't know.

I'm thinking about a referral program, so that users could benefit by inviting the others. In my opinion referral programs can be useful.

Could you guys name some other efficient methods?  Maybe someone could point to some good promotion examples here at bitcointalk.

You can consider:

a) Buying an adspace here in bitcointalk forum or in a popular crpyto related websites. You can also consider placing ads on social media platforms or any popular non crypto related websites such as Youtube etc.

b) An active ANN thread. Must be regularly updated so that community can noticed your thread. Take note that don't just make a useless post just to bumped it.

c) Opening a signature campaign here or in any crypto related forum.

You really need to used some funds to challenge the current competition. Even how good referral program is, it's not enough. Work the way up and don't be rush. Be nice to the customers and always met their demand or solve their problem.

Actually, if you have an exchange you should pay for advice. Ok, charity from me.

First, you need to be attractive, are you? Not sure, but if yes - try to list new Bounties with the best communities for free, that is for sure will bring some amount on your exchange.
Make collaborations with that Bounties, creating Airdrops or small promotion campaigns.

Oh yeah? Sounds good and more realistic approach. Like of course everyone loves free but still your platform should have a real vision and not to become a shit exchange, otherwise have a goal to have a high liquidity in which every trader is looking for and lastly don't use bot as it will ruin the exchange's reputation.

Check out Gleam, they have a cost-effective way for you to use a referral system and it is really handy for bounties. Just watch out for how you structure bounties in relation to this forum as there are rules against linking bounties to activity in threads.

Signature campaigns have been here for a long time, some running for years, so it's fair to say they could be efficient. You could always do a test-run and analyse the results. There are also cheaper alternatives such as social media campaigns.

Other ways: get community engaged: create official ANN thread and keep it active. Organise logo contest + other, for fun contests (just to get name recognition). Get it listed on the review websites. The best way to attract people quickly, is to organise some few $ worth giveaway to new sign ups (make sure you prevent abuse).

But most of all, make sure your service runs smooth, have knowledgeable tech team, is legit, and offers some advantage over competitors (why should anyone choose you?).

Any new token/coin and ICO have the goal to promote themselves. The best strategy for the exchange is to promote it through such collaborations.
If you have an exchange, please PM me. We are also interested to start a crypto exchange.
