Does it make a difference what to use in the office? It is unlikely that office tasks require the presence of any special functions in the mouse.

The main thing is to lie comfortably in your hand (which is individual for everyone and an indication of a specific model will not help), and serve for a long time (any primitive computer mouse, due to its primitive design, will last a long time)

The HP Z3700 mouse can be much better if you are a regular gamer or professional computer user you can add this mouse to your list of favorites. This mouse has 1200 dpi so you can comfortably use the mouse on any large monitor it has a premium look in terms of design so the mouse won't be too bad to show off.

my dad is in the market for a new mouse. I thought that I'd take it upon myself and find him a good mouse to use. He told me that he is looking for a wireless mouse that is comfortable for office work and has decently low latency. I know a fair amount about gaming mice but am a complete novice when it comes to office mice. It'd be much appreciated if anyone could leave a suggestion for a mouse and a quick and concise overview of why it is a fair choice.

Logitech M510 or M705 are the only mice I would recommend that are of good quality and reasonably priced.
But I strongly suggest that you take your dad to the nearest IT store and have him try out the mouse in person. Different people have different preferences. You'll want to be sure he has the situation 'well in hand' before you proceed with the purchase.  Wink

I'm using Logitech M-R0061.
It's wireless, light and the battery is durable.
It's also resilient since I've dropped it sometimes from the table but nothing is hurt. It works fine.
It's slippery though, especially if you use it all day long and your hand get sweating.

Im personally using Logitech M590  bt/wireless mouse for year and a half and so far i am very satisfied with it.It is reliable, battery lasts for over a year, and it is not expesnive, something around $30.Very good value for money.

But if you are looking for something more expensive, i can recommend Logitech MX Master, its is an excellent mouse, but price is around $70-80.
