We have several best and worst experience in crypto. My best experience so far when I joined bounty way back year 2017, it really gives me best profit at around 0.2btc. The price of btc that time was in a bull run market, that's the time mostly of us getting paid good from the bounty. The worst part I had experience when I invest in the Viu Ico project I get nothing in return that resulted in losing money. All of this experience gives us a lesson to assess the project before we invest.

Best experiences: I've learned a lot about economy and wealth that i didn't have any previous experience or knowledge. Learned lot about of myself as well, what i am capable of and to watch out my limits and blind spots. This space is like an endless rabbit hole of information that i am studying every day, and every day i find more things i know nothing about.
Also, crypto made me hopeful about my future and gave me some insight of it. Made a lot of money compared to my earlier lifestyle before cryptos.

Worst experiences: Trusted wrong people, lost a ton of money. Lot's of wasted time investing and waiting on scam projects

My best experience is when I took an airdrop where I got 500 tokens and I held them for a long time because I thought it was worthless but my friend said that the token has a market exchange and 1 token is 1 $ and I got a profit of 500 $ I am very happy with at that time.

my bad experience
after getting 500 $ that I want to double by gambling and I lost 100%, at that moment I immediately cried in the corner of the room.

My best exprience would be the time when all my holdings went up around 2017, sold them all and got around 6btc and btc price is 10,000$, build my own house and started a small business,

My worst exprience started 2018 , when btc goes down , ico project went to scams , no bounty rewards its like ive wasted a year doing bounties without getting anything in return.

Best experience: Best experience is coming from an airdrop EBTC it was an airdrop but I made $600 here probably the most profitable airdrop I've received

Worst experience:
Invested in Bitconnect and invested at the wrong time, when they were just doing an exit after I deposit the coin goes down big time, and there's no time to dump and I was 80% down of my investment

best experience is earning more than 80k USD which are all from bounty campaigns and BTC I hold for months of collecting them. but my worse experience is that I didnt dump it all because of thinking its too big to go all the way down because of the bear market. biggest mistake is underestimating how stronger the bear when it comes to people taking profits to all the altcoins they hold. you just can tell them to hold.
Almost same experience, up until now whenever I realized how 2017 pump gives me earning (best) and didn't sell alot those days is my biggest regret, since some alts are almost no value now, we should atleast stop loss earlier before it falls too hard last year. Being greedy and expecting too much will not lead us to make a better decision. Atleast next time when bull run comes again , we will be able to keep eye on it and keep our target realistic.

Many of us experience that and same to your situation I also encounter that and feel greedy when market goes up and thinking that I can earn more if the pump will continue but suddenly all hopes has been diminish and lost with greediness, I really learn a huge lesson after that and by now I will surely dump whenever there's a chance to accumulate the profit with alts.

I will mention my worse experience here . I participated in a bounty and got some good amount of coins. That's coins later came to exchanges and had good value. I did not sell them and thought to keep them for long term. Some months later i rechecked their price and was sad to know that they have a swap and now the coins which i had has no value. I did not perform the swap because i was not following up on their updates.
I got the lesson from this to always keep reading the updates of the coins in which you have invested.

Best experience:
Back 2017 when I made over $8000 from bounty hunting and that's from only 5 bounty campaign

Worst experience:
Keep believing that 2019 I can still promote good bounty campaigns that will pay me like what I've used to get 2017, but after 15 campaigns I have to give up because bounty campaign and ICO is not what it used to be all were wasted time and effort.

Best Experience - I bought and purchased bitcoin back in 2017 when its price were sitting around $4,000-$4,500 per coin and HODL it for like a year. When its price reached an all time high of $17,000, I quickly withdrew my remaining coins (earned from signature campaigns) and earned a significant amount of profits that year alone.

Worst Experience - My friend introduced to me USI-Tech and bought there packages using some of my bitcoins (year 2017) since they claimed that the guarantee of profits will start after 6 months. I even attended their conference here in Manila and met one of the creators of the exchange platform. After 3 months, they changed the layout of their website and my packages were gone.

Good experience - I participated in several campaigns in 2017 namely, Utrust, Gladius, I received payment of almost 1 btc more than the two campaigns and I thought it was the best campaign for me.

Bad experience - I joined the Earth bounty managed by Jamalaezaz and I received a token of $ 700 worth of Earth tokens already listed on the CMC but after being held a few months the tokens actually went down and the project died, until now I still keep the tokens and not there is value.

From those 2 experiences, I learned how to find the best solution to build a good bounty and don't hold back for altcoin.

Best:

When I was able to join beautiful and good paying campaigns wayback 2017 and withdrawn a good amount of bucks. Enjoyed the 2017 BTC skyrocket.

Worst:

Scam campaigns where I worked for almost a year but didn’t pay and when TBIS was hacked(don’t know if true or just an exit scam) where I wasn’t able to withraw some funds, kinda huge amount if converted to cash. Also, I wasn’t able to hold some alts and most of my profits were just like bubble that popped. Biggest regret.

Worst Experience: Being victimized by a phishing site via email.

Best Experience: Having experienced the bull run of 2017 and saw my portfolio surged to its ATH which I have never imagined would happen to me as with everyone else who holds crypto at that time. Also, being in crypto is fun and exciting and everyday is a  learning experience for me - thanks to the bitcointalk.org community! Smiley

Best: mining a lot while the mining was good.

Worst: selling a lot while it was cheap. Not selling enough at the peak. Can't complain much tho. Got rid of my alts a while ago and I'm richer (in fiat) that I was 5 years ago and still have some BTCs to "HODL".

Best Experience:
- I got to learn about bitcoin, the transactions, wallets and how the protocol works. Bitcoin is the best thing that happened to me alongside a few Altcoins especially when it comes to transactions. 90% of my transactions to other service providers and people are in crypto. I no longer have to suffer with the slow expensive international wire transfers and getting attached to institutional thugs (banks)

- Also learnt how to trade, it has been earning me some decent side income

- Made about $22K in ICOs back in 2017 just from a mere $1000

Worst Experience:
The bear market that followed. Who can ever for get that crush if you were from 2016, 2017?  Cheesy

Worst Experience: My worst experience was on my first few months when I got into cryptocurrency. And that was when I really into those altcoins that is really shitcoins.

Best Experience: Buying more Bitcoins and converted my altcoins to Bitcoins. And I never regret with that decision. I'm happy now compare before when having a problem everytime my altcoins get dumped.

Best experience[/font]: 2017 Bull run immediately made me a huge profit in my entire career. That's was the best thing happen to me. Just one day of bull run.

Bad Experience: Just lost the profit and capital right after the bulls run. Binance having issues on selling due to overload of orders. Then the bear market came in for a year. Almost hopeless but still trying to recover.

What I noticed is that all bad users experiences are caused by scam exchanges/projects or because the user don't have enough knowledge about this technology.
The worst thing that happened to me was when I sold all my coins then the next day their price rose by more than 20%

My best experience was finding this forum and learning about cryptocurrencies. I bought some Bitcoins in 2016 and then did some great moves:
Claimed some giveaways and airdrops that gave me a lot of profit like Stellar. Gor a lot of Bitcoin dividends including BCH BTG XLM and BSV and turned them all to Bitcoin. Traded Bitcoin in the bull run of 2017. Those were some great experiences.

My worst experience was buying some shitcoins like Lisk but it made me smarter.

Best experience: When eth hard fork had happened I had made some good amount of profit from that and now after joining bitcoin talk try to gain some knowledge from the experts.

Bad experience:  Last year I had used some shitty stellar wallet while exchanging my coins the exchange had already send the coins but I never received those coins try to reach out to them but there is no help from their side. So I learned from my mistake blindly don't believe in any wallet service.

My worst experiences was wrong send, the amount is not too high to be much worried but I send tokens to an ethereum address of an exchange and from that only I learned more about how the wallet and exchange works.

Worst experience: I used constantly Cobinhood exchange during the last 2 years. A few months ago Cobinhood became a scam, people cannot widthraw their funds, Telegram chat is blocked and their token (COB) felt to near zero. I always believed this exchange will come back to life, I constantly refused to see the signs indicating it's scam potential and now I'm still stuck there with a few hundred bucks that I won't see them back most probably.

This history repeats itself over and over again with so many different exchanges around the globe. Simple put, don't keep any funds in exchanges. Buy, move to your wallet. Want to sell? Transfer to exchange, sell, withdrawal fiat. Wanna buy again? Transfer fiat to exchange.
I don't understand why people keep funds in those exchanges.

Well, this is a good discussion to know newbies of what we have done in crypto. You may limit the page and lock if necessary because this might be caused by magnetic spam and redundant replies.

Best Experienced: I had learned a lot in crypto space. Before I did not listen to international news but now I am always looking at it. My whole life was changed from almost nothing when it comes to financial assistance but now I always have extra money. My best experienced is those days bitcoin hit around $20k in the market back then year 2017 and I purchased my new car come from my crypto savings.

Bad Experienced: When I keep holding from 2017 until now I did not recover my lose yet and also there are too many projects from bounty hunting I had joined but all of them are into scam projects.

Best experience: Sold some airdropped tokens at ATH or close to it. That was just hundreds and even a thousand $$$ out of thin air.

Worst experience: Unable to sell some "quality" tokens that were airdropped in 2017 thinking it would go even higher in 2018. Add also those scam and failed bounty campaigns I joined.

Your best experience before is ok at that time but right now most of the bounties are scam just like what I did and join to some bounties a few months ago but they still have no value and still not yet listed to any exchange. It's different compared to 2017 I have few altcoins worth 5k USD when the price is increased in January 2018 the worst part is I didn't sell them because I did not know that I have that altcoin. The coin called Raiblocks I earn them by captcha sold some of them but in low value. I just noticed that last March 2019 there is a wallet in my desktop but when I open the wallet it's not syncing and not showing any balance so I decided to check their announcement and found they just rebranded to nano so I installed the wallet and all my funds is there but last march the price of nano is very cheap but still I sold them at 1k+ in USD.

Worst experience:

SCAM! Mostly on ponzi (doublers/cloudmining) and this is when im still starting here on crypto.

I think it would be helpful for the beginners to hear about good and bad experiences in crypto from people with more experience on this forum.

I will start sharing my best and worst experiences since I joined BitcoinTalk.

Best experience: I joined the Cube (Auto) bounty as a French translator in late 2017. After receiving my coins I was able to sell them for almost 1 Btc.

Advise for beginners (and not only): NEVER (but never) invest in crypto more than you can afford to lose.

What are your best and worst experiences in crypto?
