Just to follow up.

The guys running bestbitcoinminingpool.com have been REALLY helpful with this, and really responsive. They've having some "startup pains" but, it happens. (I've dealt with startup sites myself before..)

So just want to let everyone know. They've been very repsonsive and they do seem to be pretty serious about this.

Hi... Name's Michi here and I'm about a week or two into bitcoin mining. Currently using several GPUs (GTX280, GTX460, GTX570, GTX580) to do it; so still finding my way around here.

Wanted to try a smaller pool than slush, and noticed just last night that 'www.bestbitcoinminingpool.com' had just been started. A few experienced members here raised their eyebrows it seemed, int this thread --- http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25021.msg316944#msg316944 --- and maybe that should have been the warning sign...

This morning, the site is a GoDaddy parking site.

Maybe we'll hear from the two posters involved who run (ran?) the site (djgtr, bitminers) - I actually came here expecting them to announce that they were just having some server troubles, but, well, I'll have egg on my face if this site is back up and running in a few hours and my generated balance is in my account. But, is this a common sort of thing anyhow? Fly-by-night pools that take the generated BTC and run? (Not saying that they are, yet.)

I can't assume they did that just yet (but why a godaddy parking site? Wouldn't you just put up a notice that the site was down..?) so I'll presume they're just having some troubles for the moment, but otherwise, has that happened much, and is it generally something to look out for?
