Aside from better blind structure, there is probably nothing more from me. Some people might not like it when the game drags too long but we obviously dont want to have turbo blind structure which leaves everyone on 10BB within 20 minutes of playing so yeah

And yeah, the only thing definitely worthy to improve is the blind situation. For me the ante first of all was too big. Having a sb ante from the first level means even if you are small blind and fold you basically lose a whole bb. In a game with 50bb starting stack that is WAY too much.
Also the mentioned 50bb starting really is too low. You lose 2-3 medium size pots and half your stack is gone. But hey, there is always space for improvement, right. Looking forward to the next one (omaha Wink

You are a man with a high sportsman spirit. Royse and I had a moral dilemma (I was having it, Royse is a professional Grin

) regarding your act (I am not going to discuss the nature of our conversation) about how you played.
If there was an award for 'sportsmanship' you are the winner.
I have to add that almost every player showed a great deal of respect towards other players. @yahoo62278 and @mv1986 even wait for their opponent to show up when they could have just easily won by blinding out the opponent.
Regarding the next event,
I am not sure about this long-term format. In my opinion, this 4-5 days long HU is suitable once a year. Having said that Yes, I will be conducting a tournament with an interesting structure (bounty/mystery bounty) soon.

That was more of a compulsion as it does not make any sense to pay 3-5$ in fee for a 10$ buy-in.
Converting LTC into bitcoins would have caused some complications for transparency. I have to do it unwantedly. Bitcointalk encompasses all cryptos anyway. For the next event, I will use lightening network for BTC.

I have quickly checked and while they do have some features, knockout is not part of them. Hm, that's kinda bad.

I am not aware of another quick solution unless we go to another provider, but I have tried that once and they need so much time until it is set up and all with the asked for specifications.

Yes it can be set into regular tournament mode as well but this is a HU tournament so yeah it bring a bit of twist to the game. So far this is probably the first HU tournament organized in bitcointalk. Prizepool is currently over $350 so thats pretty good for the first tournament ever. Anyway if you are interested on playing against multiple players, Royse organized one regularly though

It was tricky for me, I was playing on my phone (which is not a problem), and then it started ringing and I had to go... I work shifts, today all day and tomorrow all night, and I have quiet days & nights, but when something happens, I need to fix it, or at least try it...

I think our game would last... easy play without raping the blinds, and always the possibility to see the next card, I love it... too bad I wasn't home and free, I would have enjoyed the game much more. Thanks for suggesting "all-ins", that was ideal for me in this situation, if it wasn't for that I would have gone all in for a few more minutes and would have had to log out.

The fact that I won was just luck and nothing more, in the second game I had better cards, but the third should have been your round... but that's gambling, that's poker. Just for the record, I am a degen, and I would always accept an all-in game with friends for $10.

Overall, as you said, it’s a great game. I went all-in just for fun with a very low chance of winning. Funny enough, I was only focused on winning in the first 30 minutes because I mistakenly thought each round lasted only 30 minutes. That’s completely my fault

The funniest hand so far, kind of a brain fart.
Royse reraises with a gut shot on the turn, get's called, makes the miracle nuts on the river and just calls a 1bb bet (WITH THE NUTS) by Crwth . In a real tournament this would be a violation actually since it's against the rules to just call with the nuts and nobody behind. So strange, he can't think 9 high wins here, in case he didn't see that he had the nuts.

I wish I can participate with you guys but my eyes health sucks which can’t withstand long screen time that essential on this kind of game. So I’m happy betting here on the side-line.

I’m still open to place more side bet but this time I’m just backing on other players bet. Like blackjack bet behind. I don’t know what’s your poker skills so I’m purely gambling here. FYI just small bets to make it just for fun.

@memehunter, maybe on next round place an odds to each participants based on their previous ranking. Maybe if you get a sponsor, spectator can place bet on who will win the match and let some sponsor money be the bankroll for all the bets made. Profit from the bets will distribute to your tournament winner.

This is so interesting to read. It's true I have already been on TV in a poker game and yes there is a lot of experience. But to some degree it is still a gamble. If at a certain point you get shuffled AQ suited and the opponent gets AK, you are eliminated most of the time. I am a friend of pot control as I told memehunter, but statistically it only saves you so often.

While gambling in my opinion is pure luck, poker is a mix of luck and skill. Especially in MTTs, you are up against gamblers and every time they shove all in and you have to call, there is a chance you lose.

I am looking forward to this tournament as I think memehunter has created a great event. And whoever wins, I am also looking forward to the discussions we will have afterwards. I enjoy talking and discussing with you guys.

@memehunter I was trying to get a sponsor and start a league, but I am totally ok with you now being first. However, I think we should have a league. Guys here would be on board I think and it would be a lot of fun!

Haha. I slightly decreased the odds so that you can bite it. I’m sure you are confident with your poker skills it will not a problem to you if I will have the odds advantage on this bet like my 5$ will turn to 7.5$ if you didn’t won the tournament.

I’m also open with 1:1 bet with same condition that you will won the tournament(first place) just to spice up this tournament.

Either way will work for me. Just reply to this then the bet is on. Payment in USDT or Bitcoin if we will use Binance pay to save fees as this is just a small bet.

I read all your thread about participating freeroll poker and manage to conquer multiple tournaments that was involved a massive number of player compared to this current tournament so this bet offer is an obvious trap to those who will not do research.

IMO arallmuus is the odds on favorite as the guy just runs good or has in every one of the previous poker series. Royse has the most experience with the rng since he plays in the weekly games. Aside from that I don't have much of a sample size vs anyone in here except my opponent whom I've played with in all the poker series. If iv4n doesn't have distractions I'll be in for a long match and it's pretty close to 50/50 game.

Idk if anyone plans on taking or making a bet but could be interesting.
