Was pumped to be able to place a bet on the phony Craig Wright not being the real Satoshi...

Sad to see payout for a winning 'no' bet is just 1.02x. Chances that this site doesn't payout is probably higher lol.

Not sad, just as expected.
As everyone agrees he is not Satoshi, it makes sense that nobody would bet on "yes" causing the return on "no" to reduce.

It seems that you can still bet on it but the odd is like 1.02 only. It is like quite pointless to bet on it.

So the bet is over? There is this new news about how in September someone from the "tulip trust" will make an apparition, so who knows what will happen next. I still think this guy is related to the early days of bitcoin but this doesn't mean he is not a scammer and so are all the rest of people involved in this. There's also a possibility this is a PSYOPs agent.

hmm vitalbet is endorsed by many pacqiou so I would doubt that they would run away with users money Tongue odds were at 1.67 when they started so early birds made a hell of a lot of profit lol Tongue

I got it fixed by my self. Apparently the login cookies are from ultraplay.net, and I have a plugin that automatically clears cookies from a specific site. After I disabled it, everything worked. Not sure why chrome/microsoft edge don't work, but I mainly use firefox so it doesn't matter much. Sorry for the accusation.

Surprised how fast this closed out. This was going to be running until the end of the month.
But will the site actually payout everybody who bet no, which I think accounted for atleast 96% of their bets placed. That should be the next wager from another source  Cheesy

lol, the odds were 1.52 for No yesterday, I managed to bet 20usd at 1.42 Tongue

Oops i missed to place bet on this event, i am also pretty sure  Dr Craig Wright is not the satoshi because he has no knowledge about crptography so no doubt about it, anyway good to hear some people made a lot of money by betting on this.

Odds are very poor for option No @1.02 as compare with other option, i am pretty sure Craig Wright can't be real Satoshi, anyway that is wonderful option for betting and so many people into that this person is not Satoshi and that is the reason for this kind of poor odds.

I will bet a small amount on YES. I am personally not convinced that he is Satoshi but the odds for YES are good and there is still a small probability that he is a part of Satoshi as he stated in the interview video.

Great bet opportunity but the odds are bad:  Yes 8.95 vs. No 1.02

By the way, how you would decide his statement is true or not? As I understand, there is no definite way to prove that someone is Satoshi or not.

There is a definite way, and will leave the community to decide and reach a consensus on the matter. There is plenty of security and cryptority experts who give valid and reasonable opinions.

Well regarding his last announcement he will not sign any message or move any early coins belonging to satoshi.
I'm not sure if this counts as that Craig Wright is not satoshi, but imo this doesn't look good for your bet.

You missed the good odds. When they first released the market, it was something like @2.5 for YES, @1.5 for No, but since Craig Wright posted that he isn't going to prove it on his website, the odds dropped down (obviously). I bet a bit too late, and got @1.37 odds for the No market since my deposit took forever to confirm.

We still believe that the drama will continue. There is still a chance that he changes his mind, and upload the proof.

We left the prop open with 1.02 odd to show that it is more likely to be a no.

I wonder what will happen to all the bets placed if Craig remains silent on 31.05.2016, 18:30.

Also this bet will be highly controversial if he provides a similar bluffing evidence like the last one.
In terms of betting it should be mentioned when will a bet be on the winning side.

If Craig keeps silent, i supposed he cant proved that he is Satoshi Nakamoto so he is not the founder, i personally dont believe that he is Satoshi

1.58 odds for NO seem to be free money, too bad I'm impatient and wouldn't bother waiting for almost whole month before the results.
1.58 odds seem to good enough odds for me. But the maximum bet is only 0.05btc so a 0.079btc payout is worth it. But who could confirm that Vitalbet can find the evidence if he is or isn't by May 31st?

So if Dr Craig Wright doesn't sign a message from the Genesis Block until 31.05.2016 whoever has picked 'No' will win their bets? What if he doesn't do anything until that day will any bets be voided or what? What if he moves coins from the Satoshi Nakamoto stash?

I'd be willing to bet on No quite easily, but to me the bet is "Will Dr Craig Wright be able to fool vitalbet into believing he is Satoshi?"

If you only accept a publicly available genesis block signature.
But if you're going to be willing to accept anyone's word, or a signature of some random data (which could easily be just a copied signature from some other block signed by the address), it doesn't make sense to bet for it.

So could you please give more explicit details about how you're going to decide? Thanks.

If there is no reasonable proof or any activity further on the matter, we will consider the outcome as NO.

We will make decision which will be based upon the opinion of famous Bitcoin experts and with the help of the community. We will not force any decision based upon empty talks or not being approved by multiple sources.

He wont sign genesis block imo and if he does move coins does that prove he is satoshi or that he now has control of satoshi coins.  Its messed up, andreas is right about all this in the long run.

exactly this.
he is not going to sign the genesis block or any block from that era if at all. he is just going to mess with us and i am sure that all the proofs that he will release in the future will be like this, all shady and nobody would believe this.

so although this is an interesting bet, anybody who takes it would have his funds stuck because this will be a very long story...

Basically if Craig Wright is proved to not be Satoshi the only thing that says about him is that he has some real mental issues. Plus, you have to consider that there should've been a big investigation beforehand, both by police forces and journalist, this statement is clearly obligatory and suggested by lawyers or a deal he was forced to make.

Posting here is not like saying that he is real. Bitcointalk account can be hacked a lot easier that Satoshi's public keys.

HODLing is an art, not just a word...
this is very interesting bet but there is a big problem with it, aside from what Dogedigital said about the closing time and finding the winner, there is another problem.

what Craig Wright is doing is wasting time, he is prolonging something which is most probably a long con, a scam of some sort so this may take a very long time to be cleared out and also it is one of those things that you can't come to consensus on because he is evasive in providing a normal proof of his identity which is a signed message
