I suggest you let the earner decide if they want to use
one bitcoin address or more.

There are very good reasons why you should never use the same address twice, this is why I am enforcing this rule, but thank you for sharing your feedback, if you have any more, I would be happy to hear team.

I'll update it to "Pending Offer" at some point, how does that sound?

Also, I do play on adding filtered list, but for the time being, I will not, because of the few jobs on the site. Once the site starts picking up traction, I will absolutely filter to only open project, but also give you the option to see all projects.

I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions simik! Keep them coming.
I sill like "Awarded" better, but it's up to you.

One more thing I've noticed. There's not obvious way to post a job on the front page. See, how it's done on upwork.com and freelancer.com. An input field inviting an employer to describe what they are seeking for which then leads into a job posting page.

Hmm, great feedback, I'll see what I can do.

Pending is a state in which the job has been offered to a freelancer, and is pending the acceptance or rejection of the job.
I see, my bad. Still "Pending" seems somewhat vague. Pending what? I think freelancer.com uses "Awarded" in this case. And filtering would be nice nonetheless. If I'm a freelancer looking for job, I don't want to see Pending, In Progress and Completed jobs.

Sounds great, but too bad that there isn't a lot of Dutch-English and English-Dutch translation work on there... That's what I mostly did on freelancer.com and it made me some nice money, but there's almost none here on WorkingForBitcoins.com...
I'll stay on the look-out for some nice opportunities on there though..
And I guess there will be more work when this gets more popular.

Trump

Once the site grows, more jobs will be posted and more work will be available. Keep in mind this site is only 2 weeks old!

Hey guys, I'm excited to announce that version 1.1.0 is live! One new feature is supporting multiple languages!

I think you should remove completed and pending jobs from the front page (from Latest Jobs For Bitcoins section). Or at least add a filter. Also, "in progress" might be a better term than "pending".

Pending is a state in which the job has been offered to a freelancer, and is pending the acceptance or rejection of the job.

When a job is accepted, there is a In Progress status as you can see https://workingforbitcoins.com/category/mobile_application/default/job/build_mobile_app_for_my_website

Just got to know about this site, pretty interested in this, and I will monitor this site. Smiley

OP has too many questions to answer, so I will just give you my opinions and suggestions.

I would like to see a list of freelancers sorted by their skills, and have a feature to hire them directly. On that page they can list their portfolio for the public, and I think this might be better if the person like this specific user's work.

There's a flaw in the current system, that people who bid with their project can get their content stolen and copied, so perhaps the user who bid can choose to make it private, just a suggestion.

I suggest listing how many jobs open for all at the main page and take away those jobs that are pending, to let users know how many jobs are available. Excited to the site grow, wish you luck on your project!  Smiley

Hi,

1、I register a account ([email protected]) and confirm the link in my email, then back to workingforbitcoins and try to tap create button, it tips me "You must confirm your email first before posting a new job". It is a bug?

2、Then I goto Feedback page, submit this message,it tips “invalid”。

Hi,

Ronniee, if you refresh the page, it should update your stats, however, you have discovered a bug, and I will change the way I handle confirmation testing and release it asap.

IT seems the contact page has a bug too, I'll see what the issue is.

Thanks!

Hi,

I resolved bug #1.

I was unable to recreate bug #2 you mentioned. Can you please tell me the steps you took and what data you entered that gave you the invalid error. I did get your messages, so I'm not sure how you received the error. Your help in uncovering this bug would be great. Thanks!

Chronobank/time token and lots of other failed scams already are doing this yet I have never seen any actual progress being done, I think you'd be better off if you launched an ICO and after listing on an exchange just dump your tokens silently but steadily and earn hundreds of thousands even millions.
I really admire your enthusiasm but you are doing overkill with this project of yours.
Don't try to build an entirely separate branch making it your own but instead try to contribute to the projects which already are working, this is more like the situation with Bitmain and Core team, only if Wu could work with them and create a friendly environment we all would be happy and only work on one version.

What you are doing is like forking away from a main version/idea in order to have your own fees and commissions.

I'm considering making the site free for a period of time. The only issue that this creates, is the potential for fake posts/reviews.

The feedback shows users exactly how much BTC was involved, verified through transactions. So, I could prevent the option to leave feedbacks, if there were no verified transactions. But this presents another issue, where an employer hires a freelancer and freelancer does no work, so a negative feedback with no transactions would be valid here, and vice versa as well.

Could I please get some suggestions/feedback? Thanks!

Have you given any thoughts to a possible redesign of

I been busy working on the project. Version 0.0.6 is live.

Can you guys please help me test out the site? Being the developer I am not the best test, and I could really appreciate if some of you could take 5mins to help me by taking the following steps:

Create account
post new job
place a bid
update job
update bid
log out log in
update email/password

I would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much.

I'll do all that testing for money (Bitcoin)...   Smiley

Actually, I do think you are working on a great idea, but as others have mentioned you may have competition, especially from larger players.

If I actually had skills of interest to the BTC community, I would give your website a shot when ready.

Best of luck!

Hey guys, v0.0.8 is live.

I've implemented a bunch of system integrity testing, to ensure as we move forward, new versions are put through some intense testing prior to release. Something I know some sites don't do. I think if you are an engineer or worked on site, this is something you can really appreciate.

I have some FANTASTIC updates coming out, that will surely take this project to the next level! Also, I am hoping to go Beta in 3 to 4 weeks! It is important to me not to prematurely go beta, before I am confident with where the project is. Not only for the sake of the project, but also, for the community and the people that will use it. The last thing I want is a disappointing/frustrating beta release.

Bugs are a part of software development, no matter how hard you try, some will always fall through the crack, my hopes is to reduce this as much as possible before Beta.

But please, I still need our communities help. Continue with helping me out with feedback, suggestions, and testing, if you happen to have the time. It means a great deal to me, and I always listen and do my best to work with what comes my way.

You may have to "invest" in some marketing to boost awareness

or consider a signature campaign or bounty campaign by users here
and elsewhere  to draw attention to the fact that you have a cool project.

anyway I'll be following the thread  Wink

That would be better since if doesn't do anything to promote his site here well im so sure that this site will go down since it will be unnoticed by many of us here. Aswell us he should add social media campaigns so that he can create awareness on those people who select to stay on certain social media sites.

Those advertising strategies mentioned are both helpfull and proven working on other business man who wants to create traffics on their websites so its up to the OP if he would implement that.

The challenge of gaining traction with users is always difficult.

Here is what I know, as I continue to work on this project, I will try to shape and model it to meet the needs of the users who would uses such services. I hope to do this by continuously reaching out the to community and hoping the community reaches back to me and helps me with the progress.

Quack.
hi,

love the idea to have something like this.

i tested it. only thing i came across: (not a bug just something i would change)

i typed some wrong information in the "create" tab (errors were shown correctly)
then i wanted to delete my wrong btc address but accidentally clicked outside of the dialog so the dialog closed. this happened two times until i noticed that it was my own mistake^^

so maybe make the dialog not canceable by clicking outside of it. could be frustrating for people if they put in all there credentials/information and then delete the whole post by clicking outside of the dialog.

but great for so far. good luck and all the best for your project ;-)

Thanks for testing out the site! Great feedback, I'll add an alert that will pop up to confirm you want to leave. What do you think?

no problem!

sure, sounds great :-)

edit: what i cam across (dont know if someone already mentioned it)
new lines do not work in the bid-dialogue comment section? (using latest chrome)

After visited your site, the site is working fine on me i'm using chrome btw well is it just me or... that i don't like the template to be honest please use a modern template like fiverr.com this is just my suggestion because if you want to attract more customers or visitors to your website, you’ll need a cool design web. As "User Experience Design" i think you need to add chatbox or pm so we can get in touch with the op or client, and also social sharing it really helps your site to get more visitors, that's all my opinion no offense or something good luck for you.

Did a few tests as requested.

Login was easy, no fuss but I didnt as yet get a confirmation/activation e-mail.

I created a job but I could only choose from pre-defined skills
which I find very annoying, I know its only a test but its like
Behance, what if I have a skill you have not though of?

I cannot select the length of time I want the job offer to run for

I bid on an existing job without any issues.

I cannot update my job listing because the BTC address is invalid [which is good!!]

How about posting some gigs for your own project on the site so that we can try some work or two. I believe that would be a kickstarter.

We are on the same boat, great idea. As soon I iron out my the bugs and bring it up to par with a beta product, I'll make sure to post the first job!

hi,

love the idea to have something like this.

i tested it. only thing i came across: (not a bug just something i would change)

i typed some wrong information in the "create" tab (errors were shown correctly)
then i wanted to delete my wrong btc address but accidentally clicked outside of the dialog so the dialog closed. this happened two times until i noticed that it was my own mistake^^

so maybe make the dialog not canceable by clicking outside of it. could be frustrating for people if they put in all there credentials/information and then delete the whole post by clicking outside of the dialog.

but great for so far. good luck and all the best for your project ;-)

Thanks for testing out the site! Great feedback, I'll add an alert that will pop up to confirm you want to leave. What do you think?

Thanks for all the feedback, I will address each one soon.

This is a good idea, well done for implementing so far.

I have experience in designing websites on Wordpress
and while I wouldnt be too technicall with coding etc.
I would be strong on the visual aspects.

The first thing that hit me after landing on the page is that
there is no "front page" a visitor goes straight into the business page

there needs to be some sort of welcome page.

Yes it is of course a great idea but how many of these exist already? Or have ceased operations because they never got off of the ground? If you a super passionate about it and dont mind not making a profit for a while you could dominate the space. That said, it takes a lot of money to make it work.

Here are my 10 minute analysis after visiting the website.You do know you have a good competition out there,right?

->The website's css man.You need to hire an experienced front-end developer.Use a modern responsive framework.Your custom css makes it look like 1990's.
->Have a look at this page : https://www.workingforbitcoins.com/terms .With my latest chrome browser,half the content is hidden under the site navigation menu.
->You're using php + ubuntu server,severing at the port 443 ? Such information should be hidden from the back-links.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
That's a great concept !
I am sure that this would be used by many freelancers that only accept bitcoins as payment method. After fiverr withdrawing form bitcoins , this project would have increased potential in the bitcoin world.
Once I also wanted to offer my services in my part time, but got no platform that accepts bitcoins then.
I think the site lags some graphics, like services pictures,etc to make it more visually appealing.

Good idea. Bad thing is that freelance global market is already occupied. This kind of stuff is really interesting for blockchain developers etc., maybe you should think about this kind of marketplace.
Also, you definitely need https protocol:)

Wow this is a great and amazing idea. I have been wondering why there is no such site for the many months...akin to Fiverr and accepting Bitcoin as the method of payment (MOP). I am sure that if you guys manage it well, it would capture a good slice of the market as we are already in the Bitcoin revolution on a global scale.

I am wishing you all goodluck! Soon I will be on that site too. Smiley
What kind of market are you talking about? Look at other similar sites and they're not all that active to be honest.

I must say that your site does look very good and I hope that you can make this work. But I really wonder if there is a market for another Bitcoin-exclusive job/gig marketplace.

Website not mobile friendly. Nowadays it is quite important.

You are correct apercoin, I am currently getting some help with that. Although I know front end development, when it comes to design, I fall short. I am currently getting some help with it. I'll keep you posted.

sounds good and the name is obvious about what service it provides.. but perhaps some sort of rebranding would be good for you..

maybe take some time to find out what your customer demographics and market is .. then you can adjust your branding to target those users more directly.. just a suggestion Smiley

Hey guys, I'm proud to announce the BETA phase of  workingForBitcoins.com!

-

WorkingForBitcoins.com is a site geared to help employees and freelancers with platform to conduct business using Bitcoins and potentially other crypto currencies.  It provides an open platform, so that anyone around the work can access the site and view the current job postings, and bids without needing to sign up.

-

Here are some cool current features I currently provide:

* Pay and get paid with bitcoins
* Applicable internationally without any additional steps
* Rating based on reviews
* Direct P2P Payments
* Funds Verification
* Wallet Address kept private
* Payments and transactions verified independently using Blockchain
* Low Fees
* No commission fee from freelancers
* One way initiation communication

-

**Direct P2P Payments** - The site will not require the employee to deposit any funds into the site. All founds will be kept by the employee and transferred directly to the freelancer.  This does bring up questions, and risks to both parties. However, the best approach to this will be for both the employer and freelancer to agree to some milestone system that ensures neither the employee sends out too much funds without evidence of work, and  the freelancer does not do too much work without some compensation. However, with that said, I am planning a implementing a *Guarantee* feature, explained blow.

**Funds Verification** - Employees posting a job, must provide the wallet address with which they will be paying the freelancer with. The system will then provide a verification to bidders as to whether or not current wallet address has the founds necessary to cover the budget posted.

**Wallet Address kept private** - Wallet Addresses are kept from everyone, and only revealed to an employee and a bidder that agree to work together.

**Payments and transactions verified independently using Blockchain** - As payments are made, the system will automatically locate the data using the blockchain, and display it on the page for everyone to see. The transaction links are hidden and only shown to the employee and winning bidder.

*Low Fees* - A low, one time fee for job posters based on their budgets.

During the BETA phase, there will be NO FEES at the beginning!

* 3.00% 0.0 - 0.05 BTC
* 2.75% 0.051 - 0.5 BTC
* 2.50% .51 - 1.0 BTC
* 2.25% +1.0 BTC

* Compared to freelancer.com - Posting Fees + 10% of budget! Very similar to other sites, upwork, hireageek, etc.

*No commission fee from freelancers* -  Freelancers will not be charged a commission for their work.

* Compared to freelancer.com ~10% of bid!

**One way initiation communication** - The chat system is developed to be a one way initiator, meaning that, for a chat conversation to exist, the job poster needs to initiate the conversation with a bidder. The only types of conversations that will currently exists will be between a job poster, and a bidder. You can look at it as a one to many relationship.

-

There is a lot more development that needs to be done, as I continue to work to make it a viable and reliable tool for the bitcoin community.

-

Here are features I plan on releasing in no particular order:

* Contests
* Guarantee Feature
* File Attachments
* SSL Cert
* Support for additional crypto currencies (Experiencecoin, Litecoin)
* Improved CSS
* Multi Zone Hosting
* Support for multiple languages
* Purchase Bitcoins

-

**Contests** - Employees will have an option to create a project, or a Contest. Unlike a project, where a employer is looking to hire a single individual/company, a Contest allows the employer to post a job description and have many freelancers have a go at the task and win the contest.

**Guarantee Feature** - The Guarantee option will be something employees can utilize to increase bids/contestants, by transferring the budgets funds to an escrow, and letting the system handle payouts. I decided to forgo this feature at the start as I need to first establish myself as a reliable and trust-able service.  Having created this feature in advanced would have been a wast of resources as it would most certainty not be used. I certainly would not use such a service at site that was newly launched.

**Support for additional crypto currencies (Experiencecoin, Litecoin)** - I potentially plan on adding support for additional crypto currencies, if the site shows any traction. The two that I have currently on the drawing boards are Experiencecoin and Litecoin.

**Improved CSS** - You are likely to run into issues with the responsive design. Issues I hope to resolve.

**Purchase Bitcoins** - If this project does again interest, I plan on implementing a buy bitcoins option, where people that want to use the site, but do not have bitcoins, can purchase it directly through the site. This will be most likely the last thing I will tackle, as it would require serious user base before it becomes viable.

-

As continue to work on this site I need some help with some questions I have. Please take time to read them and provide your feedback and suggestions!

-

To prevent spam as much as possible, I plan on putting limits on the number of bids and job posts a user can make. To do this I have the following questions:

* A limit of 5 bids a week. Is this too low or too high? If so, what would you suggest?
* A limit to 3 job posts a week. Is this too high or too low? If so, what would you suggest?

-

To by pass the limit, users have the option to upgrade their membership. I have two options in mind:

* Upgrade their membership, and get unlimited for a fee
* Buy additional bids in stacks of 5, 10,  25, for a fee

The difficult part for option one, is that the membership will default to free membership, if the user does not make the membership payment in time, since there is no way to automatically charge a user. With that said, here are the questions I have regarding this are:

* Should I go with the membership option, or the one time buy option? Why?
* What should the fees be regarding each option?

-

As stated above, the site will verify the funds in the wallet address posted by the employer match the budget posted. In regard to this, I have the following question, what would be the best course of action here:

* Prevent the job from appearing on the site until the funds are verified
* Show the job, but prevent bids until funds are verified
* Show the job, allow bids, but prevent employee from selecting a winner

-

I am thinking of enforcing that each bid made, has to use a new unique (consequently zero balanced) Wallet Address. Even if their bid is not successful, they will still be prevented from using that wallet address again. Is this a good idea, if not why? Also do you have any other suggestions regarding this concept?

Helping out!

I need your help to improve and iron out this site, if you find bugs or issues, or have suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you in advanced, and looking forward to hearing from you!
