I want a better structured PM system though - I keep missing those PM's sometimes as I get around 20 every night.  Undecided

Yea, I guess you get loads of PM's about your escrow service. For me I barely get 1 a day, maybe have it so it stands out more like a red background with how ever new messages you got or something like that.

E-mail is a not an option, I visit this site more often than my e-mail which I do about once per day, or even longer.
You (usually) can receive emails as text messages. The address is typically some variation of @txt..com. You can either look it up, or just send yourself an email from your phone (if you can receive messages, you can send them, too, just type in the email address instead of a phone number) to find the exact address.

You wouldn't want this for forum emails though, unless they were restructured, as they would come through in a very large number of texts.

You can have it send email which works out well for me.
Unless you use Gmail, in which case it goes to spam.
Mark it as not spam, or set up a filter.

I like the number way better than the pop-up or anything else. The pop-up gets really annoying after awhile if you are receiving PM's on a regular basis. Just get in the habit of checking ever couple minutes when you're browsing. Also, if you have a messenger system like MSN, you can register the email to Talk and sign-in and whenever you get a PM a notification will pop up telling you.
Yeah. I have received more than a thousand PMs, I don't want to have clicked through a thousand alert boxes Tongue

The pop up is an option, I don't know if it's disabled by default.  I also have it set to 'always notify' so I get an email whenever I get a PM, phone beeps and I know to check.

What about the pop-up you get when you first load a new page after getting a PM?
I got in the habit a long time ago of automatically saying "cancel" to that pop-up because it was broken in some way on my browser. I think it was missing the scroll bars or something.
Me too, but I then immediately check my inbox.

Is that a preference setting or something? I've never seen that..

Right now when you receive a PM, you have no idea it's there, all it says is MY MESSAGES[1] and it's very easy to miss it. Perhaps colored in red would be nice.
