I like the old school look of bitcointalk.  Whens the last time craigslist changed their theme? never.

Its really annoying when other websites constantly change the theme/layout.

I'm totally fine with the way bitcointalk is.  I don't need any themes.

One problem I've always had with eBay is that they always keep changing their interface, which is unnecessary and often confusing.  I'm no web designer, but I would think consistency is something most people would view as a positive thing.  With eBay I keep feeling like I have to constantly adapt to their changes, and most of the changes don't improve the site--they just make it different, and for no apparent reason.

I'm actually glad bitcointalk hasn't changed much since I started here.  At least Theymos gets it that continuous tweaking of a website often isn't good.  I've been hearing about the new forum software for years now and it doesn't appear to be any more real today than it did in 2015.  *yayyy*

Change for the sake of change is bad, and it seems to be designed by kids who are used to using facebook, and clicking large buttons.

THIS. Everyone wants shit to look nice no matter if its working or not.

Please keep things as they are,

I'm so fed up with all these changes that make things so much harder, and reduce the number of features. Gmail has just upgraded, and the new interace is rubbish, It's harder to use, and harder to read with fewer options.

XE.com have downgraded as well to a new "pretty" GUI, and that forces me to load a second page to get the info I want.

Change for the sake of change is bad, and it seems to be designed by kids who are used to using facebook, and clicking large buttons.

Dark theme already a whole lot better.... but...

So many boxes in boxes, tiny font... 98 bevel emboss chromey boxes.

Juts hate the fact that the important stuff is just as "important" design wise as the repititave stuff.

Maybe i'll create a chrome plugin with a new CSS sheet to style BT.org to my own taste...

If you like it you can tip me. Cheesy Cheesy

Why would you change SMF? It's classic and very aesthetic in our eyes.  Roll Eyes

It's also the standard SMF of all forum sites about business, Vanilla wouldn't fit. SMF has a wide usage in websites categories.

Must try that.

You can also try the program f.lux if the blue light hurts your eyes. I use it and I think it's very good.

It will make your monitor light more warm, similar to windows night mode

There is no theming options integrated to the forum software.

But you can use third-party apps/extensions like Stylus (chrome/firefox) to use other themes (usually, dark themes).

And a few other dark themes:
