How can someone be in loss if he invest in BTC before one or more years and today price is above 10 000$?Any such investor has achieved a great profit,maybe some of them sell at 20 000$ and buy back when price is go down.
All people who buy above today price are technically speaking in loss,but only if they sell.If they keep their coins for some time they will probably profit on long term.It is wrong to think that price of BTC and all other altcoins can go only up,it can go in both ways.
Since altcoins are somehow tied with price of BTC, their price is also go down in times like this and this is something normal,far from being destroyed as you say.

Bagholders and new holders has advantages although the price of bitcoin is still goes down due to the price will be back again in the future, they won't be losing the money as long as they are still holding for long time, but it will not gives active profit weekly or monthly.
