Fortunately, this extension will have a very short time span.
It was released on 2 December so it is already available for over a month Huh
Scammers don't even have to try that hard. There will always be someone who falls for stuff like this. It is amazing and sad, at the same time, that something written this badly has managed to trick people.

What is certain is that the person/s behind this project have very poor knowledge of the English language, and it is not too intelligent to at least use an online translator. Just read this : "Developpig hardare wallet echnology that provides the hihest leel of secity for crpto asets." - It is so bad like some children were writing it, which is a warning at the very beginning.

Goddamn scammers, not even spending even a bit of time to actually grammar check(or spell check in this case) the things they're displaying with their scam software. What's actually baffling is that it still managed to actually scam people. People seriously need to stop getting so careless lmao. This is what happens when people rely so much on reversing transactions with banks, and suddenly getting surprised the most cryptocurrency transactions are final.

This is a very clear signal of a scam. Too bad in terms of English language, it is written with broken-English, not only typos. People who still blindly be scammed and phished by such bad phishing efforts deserve it. Anyway, Great Arkansas brought a good topic on Phishing attacks, this time, with Chrome Browser Extension.

I think, now it is time to remind some quizzes about phishing.

However, there is at least one reported abuse of this extension, he lost his ZEC from Nano S. He seems to have been so naive to enter his seed, although he is not sure of anything, except that he is not responsible for the transaction.

Why anybody would go to the trouble to buy a Ledger Nanos S to upper their security over their crypto assets, and then download some lousy extension for Chrome, without bothering to verify very carefully with Ledger’s home page whether it is legit or not, beats me.

As always, and as how most people lose their funds in the cryptocurrency space in general, ignorance and carelessness. I swear, even if bitcoin or the whole cryptocurrency space totally collapses and completely dies in the end, the cryptocurrency space definitely taught a lot of people lessons in computer security. Unfortunately though, a good percentage of those people had to learn the hard way.

Have you notified Ledger? I think they could better access the support team at chrome store
They are already aware about it: tweet
How long this phishing extension got already 156 users, lol. I hope there's no such casualties on this. Looks like those 156 users are for sure from the creator of this phishing also, and 5 stars rate, really weird.
