If you ever get any emails that look untoward, NEVER click the links and go to the site itself to verify if you believe it to be legit.

If it is, when you login it should tell you.

Good call. Glancing over the email, I didn't notice that. So that's why I posted here just incase someone else is curious.

One more thing - Coinbase is in the US so Americans understand proper tense and would've said On (a PAST) date, our agreement WAS changed.

Since the first line sounds illiterate, it's either from a dumbass hacker or a foreigner.

That simple phrase - on jan...our user agreement has changed - would be red flag #1 and deposited to the trash bin as bs.

Then using agree and agreement redundantly is red flag #2.

And "kind regards" isn't usually a salutation from an American

We tend to go with Sincerely in general...or a thank you.

Good heads up.  Also check to make sure the sender email is [email protected] or [email protected].

Anything other than that could most likely be phishing emails.

I received an email from what I thought was Coinbase last night and if it weren't for my skeptical mind, I would have had my account compromised. The only difference I noticed was that the sender was 'Coinbase' (with single quotes) vs Coinbase (no quotes). I have reported this to Coinbase customer support, but I figured I would reach people quicker if I posted here as well.
