Didn't know this thread was already moved, haha

Have the mods ever given a reason why they completely do nothing against scams?

They claim they are not responsible and someone should investigate before making a purchase or use escrow. Easy to say for folks that know the ropes, totally meaningless for any newbies to the site who are the folks these shit-smears prey on. I love the fact that the mods do not even enforce their own rules...ie only 1 bump allowed every 24 hours yet I reported this jaacass (see what I did there Cheesy) every day for bumping a locked thread every 2 hours and they continue to do nothing.

True, he bumps his thread every two hours and never banned for doing so. Any normal user doing the same would have his account banned.

? Collusion ?

There seems to be some evidence that JAAC-off and accountservices2 (and his multitude of alts) are one in the same.

Either they both have been kidnapped (no such luck) or are on vacation as their threads haven't bumped in a couple days and the last posts of both are 2 minutes apart.

LOL.  Looks like the Skelder alt might have been banned as well as the JAAC-ass.  Only bumps to his threads have been by it's fake vouchers every 30 minutes.  One of Skelder's (JAACs) alts got confused.  He was supposed to be vouching Skelder's thread and accidentally linked to JAAC's.

And I've been reporting him every day when I see multiple bumps since his return. Maybe it is actually working or the mods are just getting tired of my every day reports Tongue

And I was so hoping we had seen the last of caesar, we bashed and exposed him enough in that thread that he shut that account down for a good long time. Now he's forced to try and find his accounts that have some semblance of posts so he doesn't appear as a newb. His newbie accounts he only uses to try and inflate his "good reputation" for sales Wink

Been doing that too.  Skelder & Kimb0Jamz (accountservices2).  Starting to think they also are the same.

caesar09 is also one of his alts, as the thread went back on the top recently, vouched by two of the newbies accounts Jaac already used in his own thread : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cheap-gift-card-shop-1857116

From caesar09 profile : "This user recently woke up from a long period of inactivity." Jaac's account must have been banned for a while again, as he needs to resurrect his old accounts.

All his "vouches" are from his previous ALTS Demonslayer and Skelder (and a few others).

LMAO ... JAAC (and his alter egos) gets temp banned for a couple weeks for "TOO MANY BUMPS" but not for scamming.  LOL

So how did you know he was banned?

Someone else confirmed it.  Maybe they complained.  But it makes sense from watching the posts. He and a couple of the 20 different ACCOUNTSERVICES2 alter egos were gone for a week or so then reappeared together ..... in fact, so closely together from login time stamps and posts you'd think they were "related."   It's also obvious because JAAC's "bumps" have dropped from like every 30 seconds to only a couple times a day since he returned.

Hé wasn't banned long enough then, as it has been only a few days he's been away. And he starts again to bump his shitty thread more than once every 24h. I'll report him for this, it may award him another ban week.

It's still good to take, a couple weeks without his shitty post on top of the forum all the time.
We well know scammers aren't banned here, that's why there are so many.
Jaac may be back with one of its alts, however. He has so many "good customers happy to vouch for him"!

SO sad.  He's back along with a new ALT of "qwertyy"

And his new _accounts_ alt that he tried to scam with while he was temp banned. Already reported him today for constantly bumping, he just blatantly flaunts the rules knowing nothing will happen. SAD. I will continue to Report to Moderator on his locked thread, and I encourage all of you to do the same. If the mods are inundated with reports from the same thread, maybe they'll wise up and ban his sorry ass once and for all. And yet again, new scam accusations from him ripping off another newb.

Unfortunately scammers never get banned.  If this guy hasn't been banned after 6 months no one will be.  Besides, they just come back with new ALT and/or use VPN.

And he didn't get any negative trust for a while... People seems to start to understand this as*le is a scammer and don't buy anymore from him. So he thinks his thread isn't seen enough and bumps it more often.
Soon he'll delete his thread and will create another one with one of his alt accounts (one of the numerous accounts that vouches for him).

The thread will most probably be moved by moderators if not related to a digital good. This forum helps scammers indirectly.

yeah I noticed that, well doesn't hurt to make them work a bit, haha Smiley

If they want to do useful work, they would rather clean all scam threads, ban all scammers. That would be more useful than move a warning thread from digital goods to here where no one goes.

Amazing.  There are literally dozens of scammers that are so obvious and so blatant that I am beginning to wonder if there is some sort of "collusion" going on here.  Maybe there should be a special counsel appointed to investigate possible collusion.  LOL

Maybe JAAC(off) is providing kickbacks.

It's so easy to scam people apparently, so better be a scammer here, more profitable than participating in signature campaigns. That's why there's more and more.

You did receive a giftcard from Jaac? You're lucky then because usually he runs off once buyer have paid and doesn't answer anymore.
The fact the card has no value isn't a surprise. But why did you trade with this guy? Haven't you noticed the red warning under his profile?

Let's bring this thread back to the top. It may prevent a newbie from being caught in Jaac's web if, by luck, he would come and visit this part of the forum.
We still need a warning pinned thread in all "goods" subsections of the forum : how to check trust of a seller, threads to avoid (self moderated and/or locked), how to use an escrow etc...

Good idea but it's impossible to find this forum without specifically looking for it as it is pretty well buried.

That's why I want this warning thread pinned on top of every "Goods" sections of the forum, not only here.

I have plenty of free time.

He already posted somewhere in this thread (along with threatening PM's) what he claims to be my IP so his scam-buddies on Reddit (LMAO) can "DDOSE" me (his ignorant spelling) but he won't believe me when I told him he was only 6000 miles off.

There should be a pinned thread on top of every goods subsection with link to this section and warnings about self moderated and locked threads. Here no one comes, certainly not newbies.
Trust system should be explained as well, because half of the forum (if no more) doesn't know how to check someone's trust.

Correct  ... and they still wouldn't read a pinned message!  Cheesy

Some may read it though, if properly pinned at the top of every "goods" subsections. Actually there's nothing, and warning threads are here, in "scam accusations" as a subforum of "Trading discussion", far from the marketplace>Goods section where scammers are propagating like plague.

Jaac is obviously a scammer I don't understand why he's not banned, him and all the accounts that vouch for his fake selling thread. People are allowed to scam others without being stopped here?

And anyone that checks his other ALTS (Demonslayer and Skelder the Scammer) would see it's the same vouchers were on all 3 threads.  He must have purchased a shitload of accounts or has a large network working for him.

Just for anyone reading this where he cannot delete it and has any doubt, this is his current trust:

Simple answer? Yes. Scams are not moderated.

People need to use their own judgement and intelligence to work out if a user is legit or not. This is why we have the trust system. DT members will tag an account such as jaac with a negative rating, which in turn gives them a red "Warning: Trade with Extreme Caution" under their username. If that isn't enough to warn someone, then I don't know what is.

The problem is that NEWBIES don't know that (they find these "great deals" on Google) and even with that most of the trust is invisible under "untrusted" so they don't see it or don't know how to find it.  Simply preventing locked threads and self moderated threads in the DIGITAL GOODS section would solve probably 80% the problem.

Jaac Giftcards is indeed a scammer. I got scammed by him. But he better believe, I'm coming for him. He will regret messing with me.
Lol.  I'm sure he's quaking in his boots.  To all of you who say that he should be banned, I agree--but you guys need to accept the fact that he's not going to be, and all the screaming in the world isn't going to do any good.   They don't do that here.

Best thing you can do is smarten the frigpup up and don't buy gift cards for bitcoin here.  They're mostly scams, and since you can't tell the difference most of the time, just don't do those deals.  Look at trust ratings.  That's what they exist for.   Self moderated threads are dead giveaways, too.

I got scammed by this scum too for Amazon GC and he still has the gall to go and post in his self moderated thread. Frankly I dont even understand why mods allow self moderated threads. Its a hive for scammers to do that without anyone posting. All his vouches have been newbies that all have trust issues.

^ Exactly. In this case, I truly wasn't paying attention which is my own bad, Ive connected with a lot of people on here and done good deals and totally didn't do my diligence on this one just not really even paying attention. It wasn't that much money but I guarantee you karma will fuck this dude up royally, and when it does I want him to think of me first  Wink But I agree its ridiculous that the thread is even open.

It's so sad that one person could be such a low-life scum bag.  Hopefully he will O.D. on the drugs he is buying with his scammed money.  If he even has a mother it's highly doubtful that she will even notice her little cockroach is missing.

I find it remarkable that this guy JAAC has now been blatantly scamming for over 6 weeks and hasn't yet been shut down.  All the excuses in the world don't hold water.  He's an obvious thief yet he is let to continue on.

Jaac isn't the only scammer in digital goods section here... Always remember that a seller who locks his thread or moderate it himself is obviously afraid of negative posts, and is then obviously a scammer.

I guess you didn't FIRST read his trust.  Moderators will delete your (this) thread and let him go on forever.  Best thing to do is just keep posting on his thread every time he deletes your message and disregard all his threats because he hasn't got a clue.  He's just a low life common thief.

Erm.. No they won't delete this thread, although it would be better if the original poster would follow the format defined in the sticky thread called "Scam Report Format". The best advice for people selling giftcards? Avoid them entirely, as it is unlikely an escrow could help you in this situation and unless you know the seller personally; they can disappear at any time.

But one would think that it is so obvious a thread is fraudulent and outright theft it would be deleted.  Even that is meaningless when the low-life scum can easily come back under another alt (as he did 2x that I am aware of).  The only way to prevent it is to not allow moderated or locked threads in digital sales.  Yes, I know people should be able to take care of themselves but why make it so easy for low-life scum-bag scammers like this JAAC(off) to continue stealing?

Aside from the fact he is a low-life thieving moron which is obvious there needs to be at least minimal protection from scum like JAAC(off).

If only it could be true... But the guy is most probably at his computer laughing at your picture or talking to his next victim.
I can understand that suspicious threads aren't moderated until there's no proof of culpability (innocent until proven guilty) but here he's a professional scammer. And a newbie that don't know how the forum works really will be caught in its Web. The scumbag lives from his scamming thread and no one can stop him. I should do the same myself, maybe.

OOOOOhhhhhhh You are so smart.  You caught me! So why can't you do anything with your information?  Oh I know!  Because it's WRONG.

I still love you though so don't worry.

Jaac is obviously a scammer I don't understand why he's not banned, him and all the accounts that vouch for his fake selling thread. People are allowed to scam others without being stopped here?

Simple answer? Yes. Scams are not moderated.

People need to use their own judgement and intelligence to work out if a user is legit or not. This is why we have the trust system. DT members will tag an account such as jaac with a negative rating, which in turn gives them a red "Warning: Trade with Extreme Caution" under their username. If that isn't enough to warn someone, then I don't know what is.

That's pretty damn screwed up though. Alert all the scammers, then. They can carry-on selling here indefinitely without ever being shut down. That's kind of crazy.

I'm not even a newbie, I just got too comfortable with all of the positive trades Ive done in the last year and just didnt pay attention this time, but definitely, part of me -  and I assume many other users - had some assumption that blatant scams wouldn't be allowed here. Not that scams cant happen, they happen everywhere, but that they wouldn't be allowed to just carry on once exposed.

LMAO - Nice try AGAIN asshole.  Like I told you the last 12 times you're 6000 miles off course.  But I still love you and am having so much fun driving you nuts.  If you think your fake shit bothers me you are obviously mistaken. So crawl back in your mothers hole scumbag and keep yourself out of jail.

Dosvedanya

P.S.  Honey Bunny - if you know all this why don't you do something about it?  You have been threatening me for weeks.  Obviously your threats (and your information) are as phoney as your sales.  Kisses  xxxxoooo

if someone locks or self mods their thread, its 99% a scam

Right.  But all the newbies don't have a clue.  That's how this scumbag raises money for his drugs and prostitutes.

Could you just add this to the scam accusations board and fill out a proper form? It would get more exposure and DT2 members would red tag him if you can prove you where scammed. This would actually help everyone out a lot.

He's already on his 3rd (that I know of) ALT.  It's all meaningless as long as they continue to allow locked and self-moderated threads in this section.

Make sure you leave negative trust for him.  Won't matter much but at least you can add to his collection. Also disregard all his threats, they are as worthless as his reputation.

DO NOT buy from this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/1-giftcard-store-many-stores-vouched-proof-2202092

JAAC is a huge scammer. Will steal your money and delete your posts. Feel free to post here if you have been scammed by him, too. I will update if he decides he doesn't want the hassle and refunds me.
