and the issue with bittrex is not that they are asking for documents. it is because they didn't give any warnings that they are going to change it. and according to US SEC laws they have to ask for an account to transfer all your assets to it in case you are not happy about the change. but they never did. https://www.sec.gov/answers/closingbrokerageaccount.html

That is sneaky of them to just suddenly implement something without even informing the users of the site. Well if they have informed the people first then I'm sure many people would withdraw their funds from them and because of the fact that there is no advance notice then many are just stuck and waiting in vain for the support's reply which allegedly takes weeks or months to reply. I am just disappointed because there are some who submitted documents but still got rejected and funds still stuck so what is their alternative action should be?

as far as i know, i had a problem with withdrawal from bittrex.com\

then i heard on this forum, that there is a maximum for unverified accounts
the limitation is 0.4 btc per 24 hours

i tried that 2 times and it worked

it is a pitty that they communicate poorly, which i heard on this forum
because i find bittrex.com a superconvenient user interface

so, max. is 0.4 BTC / 24

it went from being allowed to withdraw some, to ZERO now.

I and Some of my friends have forgotten about the money that we have in bittrex because even after uploading your means of identification you will be given withdrawal limit for each day.

Every exchange has these demands.

If you're exchanging crypto to crypto, you can do it without verification. But once you want to exchange crypto for money, you have verify yourself via uploading your documents. You will not find an exchange, that would send you money without verification. Except P2P exchanges, where you're dealing with other people and not exchange itself.

You see them at http://www.coinparator.com/compare-exchanges/ . You can also compare verification requirements at that link.

instead of just advertising your own website to generate traffic you have to do some research and make the information more accurate first.
exchanges such as bittrex does not even have a "money" market to require verification as you put it here. and not all of the exchanges require these steps. for example the old btc-e and currently c-cex are two exchanges working with fiat but not require verification.

and the issue with bittrex is not that they are asking for documents. it is because they didn't give any warnings that they are going to change it. and according to US SEC laws they have to ask for an account to transfer all your assets to it in case you are not happy about the change. but they never did. https://www.sec.gov/answers/closingbrokerageaccount.html

Yes, I have been reading the stories all day. They have been doing it to several thousands of accounts. They just started a new round yesterday - of refusing withdrawals for already verified accounts ---> I am really surprised that there isn't much being said on THIS forum.
If you'll check the exchange section there were lots of threads conpaining about Bittrex, also in their main thread. Bittrex caused too much trouble because of the verification and support issue. Luckily, I was able to withdraw my balance there without any problem but I won't risk anymore until or if they will resolve all of the issues.

PS. The thread should be in Exchange section as well

Not that much of a biggie just put your legit info and you're all good.

I did give them my legit information.  They are not responding and there are thousands of others that are having the same problems.  Right now Bittrex has 10's, if not 100's, of millions of dollars locked up from users accounts.  It's not a small incident ---> there are more and more users locked out every day.  Support isn't even responding anymore ---> they stopped responding a few months ago!

So, yes, it's no "biggie" if you're playing with faucet dust, but they have seized million and millions of dollars so far and they are seizing more and more every day!

Read the tweets they're getting today: https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange/status/933759929051103232
And: https://twitter.com/hashtag/bittrex_disabled_accounts?src=hash

This is big!  They're slowly taking peoples money and you could be next!

But of course P2P exchanges are more risky. Since you're dealing with its users.

That's will be a big problem for me, because I'm keeping my bitcoin there to avoid transaction fee, and I don't like sharing my info. I think I gotta withdraw my bitcoin before they ask me to give them my info and selfie ^)^.
Thank you for warning us.

I was using bittrex for quiet a while now without any hassle .Anyway low and below they now need all your data to make any withdraws  .how convenient not to tell anybody while depositing but when you try to make a withdraw o we need every ID under the sun that  you have .Anyway i giving everybody a fair warning about bittrex use at your own risk especially if you dont have a passport or not like sharing you info for privacy reasons .

This is a sad, I have a lot of tokens deposited in these site and if they are asking for IDs and other information proving that it is me, I think I can't withdraw that token, it is not that I don't have those IDs but I really want to make my address or name or age private.

What is the reason for these? This is not a thing the last few days but now it is making a problem. I don't know what happened but one thing is for sure, this might be a result to a lot of accounts using their site, oh well, must use another exchanger., though my money is in there.

It just happened to me last night. And I recently withdrew ---> last week.  I entertained their request for ALL my credentials; ID (front and back), Social Security Number, DOB, address, first name, last name, and middle name ---> selfie ---> number of pubic hairs on left nut --->everything!  But, they still will not allow me to withdraw what I had just deposited AND---> support is not responding!

It is happening a  few people if you read the forums  .i am fortunate i only have a  couple of hundred of dollars in then .Some poor bastard has a over a million he cant withdraw Shocked .It also seems they target tor users.Do you use tor and log into bittrex Huh Huh .One account i log in with my regular internet the other i use tor to log in.Seems  as due they as you send asking for everything under the sun for my tor account .
