Beware of these guys they are carders and they try to get some bitcoin with the victim's credit card, it's why there will be a charge back in 2-4 days.

First Exclusion Ever
The owner of 516-661-6797 is either located in Kissimmee, FL, or Nassau, NY (probably NY). Either way they are definitely using AT&T mobile, which means there is a high chance that the account might be tied to their actual name. They have services you can pay for to get this info, they aren't usually expensive, but not all of them are particularly reliable either. You could try calling AT&T and tell them a customer of theirs is using their network to try to defraud people and see what they have to say about it (probably not much but they may look into it and refer it to local law enforcement).

I got a text message from a guy named joe in another state who wanted to buy all of my Bitcoin at a 12.5% premium, and pay with VENMO. It was tempting, until I did some research and saw a bunch of people get ripped off this same way. Apparently they will do a charge back 2 days later, and you lose your Bitcoin and your money.

I offered to sell to them at fair market price (not a premium) if they use a third party escrow. He had every excuse why he didn't want to do it (I found someone else who's willing to do it at a 13% premium if you don't wanna work with me, yadda yadda).

DO NOT SELL BITCOINS VIA VENMO, AND DO NOT SELL TO THE NUMBER 516-661-6797!

This person just hit me up on Craigslist for some tickets. I'm wondering what I can do with this knowledge.

Venmo is supposed to be between friends.  They advise you all over it not to buy / sell things with it as its reversible.
I have used the platform, and it works great for what its intended... if your friend rips you off... you go pay them a visit... :-)
