They cheat with the lure of high profits. These accounts should never be invested without verification. I encountered one such fraudulent situation where I was asked to invest by knocking messages from a blue ticked Twitter account. I agreed to such a fraudulent offer without doing any investigation and lost probably $100 worth of bitcoins. Anyway I got scammed for 100$ amount of Bitcoin but I have learned a lot from such experience in my real life and now I am not willing to face any more scam situations.

Elon musk has to be blamed for making it easy for scammers to use the blue tick verification to scam people. Some people are yet to understand when an account is verified doesn't mean that they can be trusted.

The verification are being bought through subscriptions therefore anybody can have a verified account. Atleast before it wasn't this easy and they had to hack accounts to try to get you to invest into their scams but not anymore.

Sorry for you loss but good you had this experience now because you won't be falling for this scam again. There are people falling victim with thousands of dollars with this same trick. Scammers aren't innovative, they just use old tricks on new targets then hope they get one that'll be their victim. I don't believe any PM that I get on social media about any investment and it has saved me alot.

I said it many times already: don't trust these twitter influencers the algo puts on your timeline. If you want to use Twitter, please create lists of reliable accounts which you really want to follow. Don't add random accounts to these lists and remove accounts fast, if they turn out not reliable.

In addition to that, create lists for certain topics so you get some experts on every niche you're interested in.

If you follow these basic guidelines X is one of the best tools for research and news imho.

And ofc: You don't trust random PnL screenshots shared on the timeline.

Nowadays social media is used to deceive people by creating accounts that look like the accounts of famous people. Especially on Twitter and Telegram, the influence of such influencers is more visible. They ask to invest in various projects with personal messages. They cheat with the lure of high profits. These accounts should never be invested without verification. I encountered one such fraudulent situation where I was asked to invest by knocking messages from a blue ticked Twitter account. The community has enough information to enlighten everyone about the scam that's going on on the internet today, but the thing is most of the users only come to know about the forum when they have already been scammed outside this forum.

While sometimes some might be a member of the forum but will not be aware of the information that's being shared here as they are more focused on other areas of the forum than learning about things that matter, so it's still possible to be a member here and get scammed outside and inside here.

The thing is, different scammers use different methods for their scamming activities, which means that information and knowledge about certain scamming patterns might get outdated over time. The only thing that can save a person from getting scammed is being smart enough to pick up things quickly and evaluate situations in a matter of minutes which is how you can realize that you are getting scammed. If you are unable to do that, I'm afraid no knowledge and information can save you because scammers are pretty smart, not gonna lie.

I was once working with an agency that used to manage and moderate official chats in Telegram. We were a team of about 5 to 6 people, along with our supervisor. I don't know how the scammer found out about everything, the supervisor wasn't even active in the main chat. The scammer approached me in private, impersonating the supervisor with having the same display picture and name. He asked me for money that he would return later. At first, I thought maybe it was him, so I was communicating normally with him, but then I realized that I already had some conversations with him in the past, so how come this chat started from scratch? That rang a bell, and I immediately checked and found that he was an impersonator trying to scam me.

The moral of the story is, that you need to be sharp, evaluate the situation when something usual is happening, and make sure that you are on top of the situation instead of letting someone get in your head.

If more people join this community, am sure that the scam that many use to lure innocent and ignorant greedy people, will reduce, because the information here is enough to educate anyone on the best way to go about crypto currency investments and on the properties that every coin has.
Besides reading such stories on social media, I become more aware of what not to do or invest in and that makes my knowledge on the cryptocurrency matter straight and can detect when a newly launched coin is scam.

Yes scams in cryptocurrency world are common on social media platform like Telegram and Twitter. And we know that hese scams mostly target people who do not have much knowledge about cryptocurrency means are new in crypto world or they are looking to make money quickly. To avoid getting scammed I think we should be careful when someone offers us investment opportunity and promise to give big return. We should keep accounts safe with strong passwords. We should always check information with trusted sources and should report suspicious activities which will help others and also learn about cryptocurrency and blockchain. If any offer seems too good to be true it probably is so make sure to protect your money.

The situation have be a big one for even the government to get rid of because does guys are always looking for news ways and new stories, the whole system is already compromised, and taking advantage of people that have worked hard, and in every sector their are scams and that is why the management of assets is important and lecture on the subject matter is always given, but people will always fall victim and people need to be more careful  their is one discovery that is now on board thay telegram is even used for money laundering and since it is loved by developers.

People love comparison and that is why a lot of people are alway wanting to make quick money and they don't want to even do leveraging in their business again and that why people are looking for a way out, because they don't even have a projection. And that is when you know those that know exactly what they are doing and they won't fall in the net of influencers.

Influencers are used by people to also steal from people I know of a scheme that was used to steal from people and it was projected by an influencers and people fell for it, and a lot of people lost their money some even borrowed money just to see that they are doing something.

We have seen such scams time and time again and the shocking fact is that people still fall for such scams due to greed.
Pump and dump is something that only benefits the initial investors and that too if they sell at the right time.
Yet, newbies think it's a quick way to make money and only learn their lesson by losing their money.

It's both, greed and a lack of knowledge, that makes newbies fall for such repetitive scams. Even if some of the victims of such scams aren't greedy, they don't know that they are getting scammed because they don't know much about the cryptocurrency industry as a whole. Many newbies think making a lot of money is a thing in cryptocurrencies, and people are becoming millionaires because of this and they are probably missing out and want a share of it. So when they are given unrealistic offers by these scammers, they don't realize that what they are being offered is too good to be true, they go for it.

I wouldn't lie, when I was a newbie, I had similar thoughts as well. In our time, back in the day, we used to have Bitcoin Doubler scams, we call them HYIP (High Yield Investment Program). I remember so many people losing money in those scams, some also used to get profit because what those websites used to do was that they paid the initial investors double the amount they deposited to gain their trust. Those who were smart didn't make a second deposit, but those who were fools used to deposit more the next time out of greed and never received anything back.

So, knowledge is important, and one can only gain knowledge over time. You can't save everyone from these scams, the scammers will always find their victims somehow.

I came across this post yesterday on Twitter and I think it worth sharing here because reading through the comments under the post was very disheartening. I don't know the appropriate board that fit this topic between beginners and help, and trading discussion.

As seen in the image, the poster include his telegram channel link where he can get advantage of newbies and rekt them of their hard earned money. People still believe that crypto is a quick money scheme because of things like this they see online. It baffled me how people were regretting missing out and ask how to get the next signal under his comment section.

In case, you don't know they are using you to make money for themselves with their pump and dump tokens. There's no shortcut to success. You need to sacrifice your time and learn, don't fall victim for this online scammers portraying themselves as expert traders or whatsoever.

I strike out the sensitive part in the image  because some gullible will still want to go after them and give it a trial. Be vigilant out there, please.

There is this new pattern I have seen on X platform. Since Elon monetize X for users to earn from the micro blogging platform, some of these useless influencers has gone rogue and senseless just to have a couple of dollars from interactions and get more money from views, they are good at lying just to go controversial, they will say anything for engagement and doesn't care if they are passing the right information or not as long they are getting paid.

They are number king of meme shilling and hypes, some of them are broke ever since Defi stop giving them money, they have change to hyping meme coins and these are not one or two, they spread different one and rugged their followers and it's a pity that these followers don't even know how to avoid them, even the platform is not helping, they don't scrutinize and filter wrong information but that is what Elon Musk want anyways.

Like the way people are going about telling lies just to get views and followers since some of this social apps has been monetized is really uncalled for and it's really very sad to know that no one cares about reputation again as what most people are only concerned is how they can earn from the information they give to others without minding it's authenticity and reliability anymore. Twitter has really became a hub for scammers and fake information and Elon Musk is just relaxed and not doing anything possible to make the app a friendly haven for all, it's very bad i must say.

You did perfectly well to have brought this up here, it would have been nice to see the handle but for the fact some people would still go after the handle would not be making any sense to allow it visible.

I was also wanting to pick interest in it but I had a second thought what if I get scammed or I loss funds in the course of joining the channel but thanks to OP for not allowing the handle be visible.

Twitter is the most dangerous place for influencers to promote fake projects, we are regularly seeing this type of post on Twitter, where they advise a large number of people to join and make quick money, perhaps they weren't going to come across anything like that. I wonder how many individuals continue to believe that there is a simple way to success. Most of these newbies fall victim because they are lazy and do not want to go through too much stress before making money.

However, a lot of people won't learn because the majority of these fake projects hire people to promote their projects in order to scam more people. This must be the point where newbies should realize that there won't be a simple way to succeed with these projects. Many people, in my opinion, will still regret fading it, they would have invested their money if they had known earlier. The project could do well from the start, but if they notice that more people are investing their money, they will scam them. We must be very careful whenever discovering new and promising projects on the internet.

That's absolutely true. I saw a meme coin built on the Solana blokchain being heavily promoted by several paid influencers with large followers. They claimed the coin had achieved a massive market value, but within a day, it collapsed dramatically, and all liquidity was withdrawn. When I checked back on their tweets,, I found they had deleted them and started sharing content on other topics as if nothing had happened.

We should not blindly trust the promotions of these marketers, as they don't care about the interests of their followers or educating them; they are only looking to siphon off their money through these fraudulent schemes. Therefore, we shouldnt rely on their recommendations when making investment decisions as they exploit the ignorance of beginners, pretending to be experts by providing educational content, tweets about airdrops , promising coins, and various technical analyses. In the end, it's the beginners who pay the price.

With that being said, I believe that most of those people who fall victim of scammers don't usually do proper research, and are being scammed out of ignorant. Without being told a person can easily identify scam without falling a victim, I know you would ask me how? When something is too good to be true its a sign of danger. Although most people usually know that nothing good come so easy and knows it might be a sign of scam or trap, but they are forced to fall victim due to greed. People often Chanel there aggression and delay of success to any given opportunity that appears too Good, and will eventually want to give it a trial which they later get drawn to it. We must really be careful expecially when something is too good to be true.

The fact is many influencers out there on these social media platforms actually claim to help people understand crypto better however a majority of them are actually misleading people giving them the wrong idea that crypto is a get rich quick scheme and the problem is some people still fall for scams like this. One thing I've come to understand is that majority of people out there that take crypto as a scam are usually those that have previously been scammed like this.

The idea of making huge amounts in crypto from shilling or pump and dump is actually very possible, however it doesn't work the way the user in this particular image was trying to say. The most I've seen that are real wins in pump and dump is usually 10x or 15x .

The crypto space is a hub for scammers and hackers, this is the major reason why many people are still skeptical about Bitcoin. Many of them thinks that Bitcoin and altcoins are the same, so when they get scammed in a scam project, they'll label all cryptocurrencies as scams. I see a lot of these get rich quick promises on social media, they will hype the project and promise you of unrealistic returns within 24 hours or a few days. Any business that promises you a very huge returns on a very short time should be a red flag for scam, you don't need to invest your money in them. But many people will rather learn the hard way from experience, after they've been scammed of their hard earned money. I always tell newbies that in cryptocurrency that it's only Bitcoin that I can recommend, it's a legit cryptocurrency that doesn't give you false hope of ROI on the short term.
One of the reasons why people get scammed easily is because they feel so desperate to make money, and they don't even take their time to think or do research how true it can to make this money. That's why when people give this scammers a little attention, they are so quick trying to manipulate victim because they understand any delay can spoil the plans.

People get scammed due to ignorance and the desperation of making quick money. I'm glad people are getting wiser now and they understand there is not like quick money in bitcoin, and they are beginning to understand the difference between bitcoin and cryptocurrency,  even if people still deal with cryptocurrency they understand the risk they are into. The only problem is that some newbies will still fall for this scammers because of desperation of making quick money and not being patience to make research to get a better knowledge.

Ive seen always this kind of post in twitter or x which most of the posts is flexing the money in their wallet and what kind of coin they are holding and telling that they will give away a portion and sad to see that there's some people really expecting that someone will give them a free money instantly by having a comment their address, and also some of the influencers just to create a hype of a particular token even the project is seems sketchy they will just gather affiliate as they can so at the end its their wins. Not all influencers will accountable to the project for sure they will just wash their funds if the project gets rug.
Absolutely, there are hundreds of ways to scam people off their money, new strategies are being deployed each time and we can play huge roles by understanding their cunny intros.

One way of getting people into this shit projects is by using top influencers to promote the coins, yes they are not part of the project only there to lure their followers into investing their money and this influencers are being paid in stable or fiats. Any plans on investing should be based on self justification and not persuasions or influence from any profile.

If people just have critical thinking for sure they can easily understand the main point of those influencer promoting projects that promise to good to be true returns.

Maybe good for potential investor to avoid participating on what has been promoted by influencers since provably that there's nothing to get there. For sure the obvious reason on why they promote those is to get a profit with it. And its not all about the betterment of their followers, so we need to take note on this and be more careful dealing with our investment, especially that trust no one online since lots of deceiving things we could see here.

You can have many reasons to blame these low valued influencers but let become more selective with what X users you want to follow and read their posts. X can use its algorithms to suggest possible contents based on your favorite reading, keywords in your search but at the end, you can decide to read those posts or ignore them.

If you are unable to be wisely selective, you will read such news on X or other platforms and will be scammed. It's not only responsibility of X and you as a user can report any scammer you see.

To make money in crypto is not a small thing and you have to learn how to make money before engaging yourself in it, many people have fallen into the scammer's trap because they are very careless, the reason why I said they are very careless is that some people act as if they are illiterate because if not an illiterate how can someone post something or Twitter or online that you are going to make money through the way and you will believe, no one easily makes money and those who post online, if they know a way to make money they will never say it outside and let people know how it.

No one will let you know a good way to make money if not your blood or your best friend who wants your progress, I never believe anything that someone posted to make money because all is a scam, many newbies fall into the trap because they think cryptocurrency is making people rich quickly, many newbies need to be careful because if they keep believing some online stuff people post just to get their attention they will not have interest on cryptocurrency again because when they get scammed they won't believe in cryptocurrency.

Most of these screenshots are fake and so called Crypto Influencers are just going to get a good reach before making a rug coin themselves and shitting on their own followers. This is what most of the big influencers did in the past to gain money in previous cycles, now as they are "BIG" accounts, you won't see them posting them address of a coin below 100k mcap or something like that, you should never believe these people.

Social media is one place scammers and fake influencers go to alot because definitely they must get at least one fool who would fall for their tactics. We all know how cryptocurrency is being hyped, especially on social media space where almost everyone is talking about one cryptocurrency or the other.

One would ask, why are most scammers interested in crypto?
They chose cryptocurrency like Bitcoin because that is one way they can steal from people without getting caught. Crypto helps keep them anonymous. Imagine getting lots of people on a crowded social media space where you do not get caught.

With all the hypes on social media,  most people will fall victim to these scams and hypes because of the Fear Of Missing Out, and the truth is, many of these victims know very little or nothing about cryptocurrencies.

My advice is this, "do not be too greedy to invest in what you know nothing about, take your time to do a thorough research before investing".

Anyone that is still decieving him or herself that bitcoin is A get rich scheme is been decieved and may never has the passion to invest in bitcoin because of his state of mindset.

In case, you don't know they are using you to make money for themselves with their pump and dump tokens. There's no shortcut to success. You need to sacrifice your time and learn, don't fall victim for this online scammers portraying themselves as expert traders or whatsoever.
Actually people has been used to make money in form of honey pot due to ignorant. Since there is no shortcut to wealth then we must apply caution in whatever we do.

As seen in the image, the poster include his telegram channel link where he can get advantage of newbies and rekt them of their hard earned money. People still believe that crypto is a quick money scheme because of things like this they see online. No matter what you tell people about all these signal provider groups, they won’t still listen. All they want is a coin that will multiply their money within a very short period of time. That’s just the reason why most newbies do end up being scammed when they join the crypto space, because most of their aim is just to quickly make money after joining, but they don’t know that things don’t work like that. Most of the people that are always looking for signal provider groups are newbies, and we all know that most of those groups are fake, they are just after what they will be taking from people joining the group.

In case, you don't know they are using you to make money for themselves with their pump and dump tokens. There's no shortcut to success. You need to sacrifice your time and learn, don't fall victim for this online scammers portraying themselves as expert traders or whatsoever.
Some of the coins recommended by those signal providers are created by them, they do encourage people to invest what they have in the coin, and you will never know that the coin is created by them. After lots of people have invested, they end up dumping it on people that invested in the coin. We should just be careful, because scammers are just everywhere trying their possible best to scam people.

Twitter is one place newbies get deceived easily because people easily disguise themselves as influencers once they have gotten an account with lots of followers they make use of it to deceive people especially newbies. We just have to be careful with how we interact on social media especially in crypto terms there are lots of people who don’t have good intentions all they are after is to deceive people. It’s high time that people should stop believing that crypto is a quick money scheme and stop falling for obvious scams, people should start learning by themselves rather than relying on other people for signals. When someone even assures me that they can help me to make money i don’t even want to give them listening ears because crypto has no assurance.
You did well striking out the telegram username and twitter handle.

It may sound too radical, but all beginners who are interested in cryptocurrencies should stay away from all those influencers who would sell their own mother if it would bring them a profit. It's not only a dangerous game, but also a waste of time that everyone could use in a much better way - so if you can't resist this world of social networks full of false promises and scams, just stop using them today.

You can always communicate with your real friends through apps like Viber or something similar, you don't need Telegram, FB or Twitter.

Reminding all those newbies not to get attached easily with random social media influencers every now and then can really be helpful. But I don't think this will be enough. They should also make their own efforts to educate theirselves and open their eyes to the reality that getting rich quick profits is a big scheme. There's no instant success and profits, but everything should be worked hard first to earn significant amount.

However, falling into this kind of scam for the first time may still be tolerable and you'll certainly learn your lesson after that. But repeating the same mistake and seeing yourself being victimized again, that's already your choice. If you don't change your mindset and perspective, you'll never achieve your target goals.

This isn't surprising to me because I see this a lot. However, indeed, many people don't understand what's going on and they get scammed by these useless pieces of sh*t who can't earn money themselves so they use vulnerable newbies to fill their pockets. You can't stop this from happening because if you report their accounts, they create new ones and start doing the same thing with those new accounts and some people will still fall victim to these things.

What's extremely unfortunate is that X (formerly Twitter) now allows anyone to buy a blue tick for their account which has given an upper hand to such scammers and lowlifes because now they can buy a blue tick and some people would think they are influencers or celebrities and this is one of the biggest reasons why newbies often believe them easily.

People need to stay away from X as much as possible if they are new in the cryptocurrency industry.

That's how important it is for a beginner in the crypto world to join a legitimate crypto community, the purpose is to avoid the possibility of being deceived by scammers who take advantage of the greedy gaps of beginners.

for that always do

- do research first before buying or putting money in a cryptocurrency
- look at the reputation or history of the influencer
- don't trust 100% anything you just see on the internet

The forum here has been a very good source of information regarding the high rate of social media scams which a lot of online influencers has been a major contributors to but aside a newbie who just got registered today, I think every other member is aware of the social media scams and how the forum has been preaching against it to her members.

There's no shortcut to making big profit in trading or investments people should stop being greedy and focus on starting small and growing everyday as they keep getting knowledge on what they do. I think people who follow all the information they see on the social media platforms should not be pitted when they are scammed because they will not come out to tell anyone when want to involve in their greedy actions.

I strike out the sensitive part in the image  because some gullible will still want to go after them and give it a trial. Be vigilant out there, please.
I saw a thread in this forum where Bitcoin was distributed to users for performing easy tasks. But the days of getting free valuable coins are long gone. These days it is common to see shitcoins and Ponzi schemes that promise investors quick returns. The common red flags of these scam projects are overhyping on social media and other channels and promising unrealistic profits within a short period. My advice to newbies is that they should invest in only Bitcoin until they have the experience to differentiate between scams and real projects.

Exactly. People refuse to learn, and that is why they fall victim to all these scammers. If there is knowledge about what you want to do seriously, you won’t be scammed, and you will know where to put your money, which will give you a return. Many people are too lazy to learn; even those who think crypto is a get-rich-quick scheme are all because they don’t have the knowledge of it; if they do, they won’t think like that since that is not how it works.

However, influencers are the main reason why some people feel lazy about learning the crypto world before venturing into it. Influencers fill them with lies and give them a promising future about a coin just because they got paid for every advertisement, but at the same time, the people who invest in or follow those scammers should be the main reason; they suppose they know their worth; they need to know it's their money and not the influencers. Learning needs to be the first step in everything.

People fail to understand that some of these influencers know little or nothing about the crypto space. If they truly knew the secrets of how to make constant profit from the crypto projects they are advertising, they wouldn't be on social media. Most of them just want views or engagements on their channels so they can earn from it. Immediately the platform they are promoting scams people or go bankrupt they will claim that they do not have any relationship with the firm.

In as much as we keep telling people to beware of influencers who come online to sell them dreams about crypto trading we should also try to find a way to hold these influencers accountable when they make people lose out on their investments.first of all they are influencers which means that people look up to them for guidance.as much as that is wrong, we should know that some people hold these influencers in high esteem.
although my advice will always be that people should not take heed to what these influencers are saying cause most of them sincerely have very low or no crypto knowledge.some of them were even paid by some scammers who want to swindle people out of their hard earned money so people should not take their words seriously.

For those who are not properly guided on crypto knowledge, these are major things that can get them enticed so easily. For us who have known crypto to be not a get-rich scheme, we overlook this by telling ourselves and others who care to listen that this is all a scam to make people believe that crypto can make them rich within a short time if they should invest in a coin or follow crypto influencers advice on coin to invest.

That being said, scammers already know that the way to scam people is to create a coin, promote it on social media, and have it pump in price. By doing that, they have won the hearts of many who will be longing to invest in their coin without researching it because many people thought crypto to be a get-rich scheme where they invest with their money and make a whole lot of money within a short time. That's why all these scammers use it as an advantage to people's weaknesses, that there are people on social who would want to be rich in a hurry.

Those who are greedy and not ready to be patient through their investment journey in crypto will have a rush of investment with them. In the end, it results in a loss of investment, which they won't learn from, by beginning to have a long-term investment plan on Bitcoin instead of all these pump-and-dump coins they learn about on social media

Beware of social media influencers in general, not only those who talk about cryptocurrencies.

The algorithms are designed to give greater visibility to those who arouse the strongest feelings, not those who tell the truth. Those who use more moral-emotional terms engage more, and therefore the algos give them priority and show them more frequently.

In my local we're talking about an influencer called "CryptoSpain", who has supposedly scammed many people in an exit scam recently. Although anyone with two fingers of forehead would have realized that the guy was not to be trusted, he said what many wanted to hear, was suggested more often than other content creators, and followed by a large percentage of the Spanish crypto-enthusiasts.

Don't be stupid. You don't need these people to tell you what to think. DYOR. By finding this forum you have got almost have of the work done Wink

If anyone claims he knows so well about crypto and is an influence, then I will only want to know about these three things.

1. Ill love to know if he is holding Bitcoin as an investment.
2. A proof (signed message) that he is the legit owner of the said address holding the Bitcoin
3. To know his thoughts towards shitcoins.
Do you think they know about all this?
Most of these so-called influencers don't hold Bitcoin, and some don't even know about personal wallets. They are mainly focused on centralized exchanges where they can trade or get some successful trades from people to use for scams on their platforms.

Quote
Many influencers do not even know that 5% of the crypto terminology, they don't know how to navigate centralized or decentralized exchange without difficulties, yet they have the greatest number of followers or subscribers. My deepest concern goes to those beginners who are comfortable listening to influencers online. They will fall for these crypto influencers easily.
I stopped believing these influencers since the beginning of these telegram base tap or play to earn game; some of them are just after getting referrals, they don't know anything about Bitcoin and they will be leading newbies astray with false information.

Newbies, please stop believing these influencers, learn first and do research before starting your crypto journey.

Yes your are right cryptocurrency world has many scammers and hackers which makes people question Bitcoin legitimacy. Some people mistakenly think Bitcoin is same as fake cryptocurrency projects hurting industry reputation. Social media is full of false promises to make money quickly with very high returns in short time. These are obvious signs of scams. Investors should be careful and avoid promises that seem too good to be true. Bitcoin is genuine cryptocurrency that offers safe investment for long term not fake short term profits.

These are great platforms/materials to start with but unfortunately most of people that fall victim to such scams are scared of reading. Honestly, listening to some of them is actually a waste of time. I once listened to one on Twitter space and shake my head after the space wondering if he has people under his couch. I beat my chest that I can publicly challenge him in a debate with little knowledge I have on crypto. I don't know what they really want to achieve portraying themselves as expert while they know nothing. You can not give what you don't have, it's that simple.

Don’t know why crypto scam is more common while using social platform mostly telegram and twitter, twitter is a wide space so everyone should respect their asset first before chasing after little or no gain. We all know crypto scam will never end likewise they’ll always see new victims majority are newbies that’s the main reason they’ll not quit. Just don’t spend on any risky project and don’t trust easily, due to how crypto social influencer behave got me wondering if there’s any genuine influencer.

There will always, and always be newbies that will try and make money with the shortest amount of time possible and the lowest amount of money they could waste. That's the reality right now when it comes to these newbies that's why they're the perfect target for these scammers or should I say, these misleading crypto influencers online.

It really is disheartening to see newbies losing their money trying to make money in the quickest way possible. I've tried it myself when I tried to join a crypto signal on Telegram, and in the end, I didn't make any money because they will share the signal to me minutes after the coin has pumped already. It's good that I only paid $5 just to join. Imagine those who paid hundreds of even thousands of dollars just to join into these groups hoping that they will make money. I'm not saying that all of these crypto influencers have their own channel where they're sharing the coins that will get pump, but there are some who has.

In general, just don't follow these crypto influencers. You can watch their content as your way of supporting their channel, but please don't buy the coins they're recommending, or don't join into their pump and dump groups or channels. Be vigilant as always.

As a good one, I don't think is good for someone to adopt or abide on the information of trading the person obtain from social media, it's obvious that we have different people whose objectives in cryptocurrency is to scam people, what makes some people to be victims of scam is due to they needed a quick money

You don't need anyone to trade for you, even though you're a novice in trading, just exercise patient and make sure you have understood trading very well, because I know that trading has to do with understanding, and when you don't have the basic knowledge of trading you can not scale true from the business, learning is one of the priorities that will make you to escape from the hands of scammers, do not give attention to anyone who dm you for trading, its obvious the person is a scam.

What most of this influencers or users that claim to be guru at trading does is that they first entice you with posts like this and post big wins which may or may not be from them. After they’ve gotten your attention from those posts, you’ll be made to join their group and that’s where the real scamming starts. They may not even give you signal of pump and dump coins, but will make you to pay for their paid signals which most of them will just move the direction a bit and tell tell you to close trades. I have seen a lot of them before and their activities are all the same. The best thing for you should to do is to seek for the knowledge yourself and learn from your mistakes as you move and go up the ladder of success in trading.

Not all what you will see and what you will hear on social media platforms are not real because some of them are paid to do it or they are planning to scam people off of their hard earned money. By the way, i think it's better if you didn't hide the sensitive part and telegram link as for people to know that they should avoid that link at all cost although there's still people who will try regardless of the consequences. Only those greedy and don't want to learn how the market works are going to be the victims of these potential scams and fake signals or pump-and-dump schemes. Those that think that there's a shortcut on this market and that's through relying on these signals or what these influencers are saying is such a bs. The only one that will benefit from such is the influencer himself while the flock that follows that guy will have to suffer the consequences and that's what they're going to get if they keep on relying on these people that are only there to benefit from their help. That's why do not be too gullible with everything you see on social media, it's only a fancy that many think is possible to happen to them without doing much effort in learning the market.

This is pretty common on social media platforms, I mean there are much worse methods that they are using just to invite someone or use their followers for their own gain, I mean some of the crypto influencers even in my country not really scammers for sure but they are surely making some way to take advantage of there own community. I mean it is going to be a lot easier for them to do some kind of referral things on social media, or probably just to get followers or likes.

Tweet or X for sure is worst platform since there are mostly a lot of scammers and fake post like this one, most common I see is flexing there wallet and telling that they are going to make a some kind of giveaway but end up giving nothing at all since they already gain a huge views on that post.

Thank you for striking out the sensitive part because your guess is of course as good as mine. There are folks here who would be pushed by their greed to try it out and when they lose their money, they'll blame you for it.
I believe that those crypto influencers are paid to do perpetrate and promote the scam tokens which they do on X. I also want to believe that they don't even invest in these tokens which they promote. And if you ever try to correct, expose or point out that whatever they are promoting is wrong, you'll get blocked immediately.

Don't get tricked with the comments because there are so many bots in social medias, in X, these bots even buy blue ticker in order to make people think it's come from legit account.

Even if he's not a scammer, he doing that in order to make his account gets bigger and then he will promote something that only to enrich him.

Whatever the choice, it's wasting time and effort.

People will need to know about Bitcoin by whatsoever means and social media crypto influencers are one of means for them to be exposed to this market.

It can be good or bad but as a start, it's good. After you knew about existence of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market, you can do your research on it and reduce your dependence on influencers with time. Do your research, learn with resources you find and if you are lucky enough, you will find a forum, a website that is a source of education for you, like this forum.

It baffled me how people were regretting missing out and ask how to get the next signal under his comment section.

First warning is once it’s too good avoid it. I will say this is a type of trading done by degen traders, it is the most risky trading strategy or method in this crypto space, people buy low cap shitcoins most especially the memecoins when they are yet to get to even decentralized exchanges and then they get pumped when it is listed on some exchanges, I can say more than 90% of this tokens are usually going to rug because they are simply pump and dump tokens.

This influencers when they catch one good move them simply hype it on social media (X to be precise) and then create a channel for the gullible people that wants to join. They benefit off this users on their channel buy feeding them pump and dump tokens they must’ve bought earlier or developed by themselves to rekt others.

While some of these scammers parading themselves as influencers use the channel members for referrals during airdrop calls or some organized mentorship classes for the newbies willing to learn.

I wouldn’t say they aren’t some of these coins that run into profits which are usually just 2x or 10x for solid memecoins spotted earlier. The rest are usually rugs, anyone trying to even get into degen trading should understand it is the easiest way to lose all your money.

Crypto Influencers are those that are dependent on people who are looking for
the 100x $hitcoin pump. They have no interest in:
1. Bitcoin
2. anything other than "the next big coin"
I'm really not interested in their click bait ridden social media channels.

Anyone other than Anthony Pompliano, Andreas Antonopoulos, Michael Saylor,
Plan B, Charlie Lee probably isnt worth following but yea thats my opinion and everyone
will have their own lists for Bitcoin influencers.

Generally, don't trust:

  • People who claim they can time the market.
  • Tweets with telegram invites.
  • Anyone who airdrops random tokens.
  • Social media algorithms. Go on Nostr, open network, no algorithm toxicity.

I have also seen many Twitter posts about cryptocurrency scams. Post also promoted Telegram channel that promised unusually high gains and targeting new investors. By looking these kind of posts many people think cryptocurrency is easy way to make money.

It always becomes absurd what a rogue influncer offers. They always make offers with amazing returns. We must be vigilant, they are everywhere taking advantage of our inattentiveness. This is what causes many cases that make crypto even worse for new people.  In fact, many feel deceived and give bad statements about crypto, even though the problems that occur are due to mistakes they have made themselves. It will always be there we just need to continue to be vigilant.

Yes people would still believe that because some Influencer on twitter or fake alpha are sharing some huge profit from their wallet after buy some shit coin or memecoin in dex. I mean because of the pump.fun and bunch of the source code out there people are easy to deploy their own coin and they can share freely on twitter.

So be careful out there peps

But yes truth is different scammers trick new investors to make money for themselves. And we should always keep in mind that real success comes from hard work and learning and patience. We should not believe wrong promises from people claiming to be experts. We should be careful online and firstly we should have financial awareness to avoid scams.

I came across this post yesterday on Twitter and I think it worth sharing here because reading through the comments under the post was very disheartening. I don't know the appropriate board that fit this topic between beginners and help, and trading discussion.
