Tron developer initiatives are very good at anticipating fake coins. always be careful
It's tron link developers but i think that will be a very difficult thing to be implemented. As far as i know that if people will always create scam tokens as its an open-source blockchain platform.
The only best thing to give an awareness at least a notice before someone wanna try to trade it on dex or something like that
This will be much more useful for anyone.

Like me, others here will also agree that Tron is one of the best cryptocurrencies if you want to save in transaction fees through CEX exchanges. It is also quite fast and can be
for payments between two wallets.
(.....)
Yeah, their TRC20 USDT withdrawal for most of the exchanges is kinda the most useful thing in the Tron network, I am not a fan of Tron at all, it's just their TRC20 USDT withdrawal for exchanges.

These kinds of airdrops are not only on the Tron network, there is already lof of them like this, especially on ethereum network, binance smart chain, and other networks.

These tokens are added to almost all accounts and newbie can easily be victim because they joined some free airdops and they didn't know which token this is. They try to swap and as a result wallet showing zero $.

People who are greedy always have an option to scam people, they have a lots of way just to make money in a wrong doings. I have several airdrops tokens and some airdrops i participated into, but before you could have their token you must pay a little amount or a dollar or two to be able deposit the airdrop token. That eventually will have no value and many investors loses their money.

1 year has already passed and history repeats itself.
To avoid fraud, you need to do the same check in the TRON blockchain
Remember that no one will give you good tokens for free. And airdrops are needed for statistics, to show that the coin has many users.

I received a lot of airdrops not only on Tron but on BSC as well because the transaction is cheap they can send as many airdrops to as many users because they can recover funds that they've used if many people falls to their scam, always check the smart contract it's the best way to check what is the real token, they are imitating the real tokens because there are so many newbies.

This is an old trick but it seems like that the scammers were going to the tron and this trick already used by so many scammers on the uniswap. The scammers were generating more and more fake tokens and then sometimes it was adding small liquidity but for the scammers with big money and this scammer will add big liquidity to fool people.
The scammers already put backdoor to the contract to make it will able to get the funds through using self destruct function or something like that

This was really shocking at first, unfortunately those airdrops has a twist of scammer tricks which actually frustrates me and get rid of airdrops coming from tronlink. I don't know exactly how it's going to legit or it really came from tron network itself, because it has no official statement that they're giving off any rewarding airdrops. Better avoid some unknown links of telegram bot, it may put you device on danger from phishing.

Scammers will always have their way in anything, talk about the ICO era, they were in their numbers, till this very day they are still leveraging every opportunity to scam people, also most of the times, these scams comes as a result of greed. That is, most scammers knows that many people are greedy and thus will try out their chances by sending fake tokens to them in order to hack them or whatever they can think of, this case is not only limited to Tronlink wallet or Tron network but to other networks as well.
Last week or early this week, there were many people complaining of getting tokens in their wallets with insane values and those who went ahead to interact or trade it where hacked or scammed, don't know the legitimacy of the information but it tells you that, a lot of people don't do their due diligence, they just jump into any token they see and hackers keeps having a field day with them.
So let's always try to do that right things in this way securing ourselves.

I think as long as Crypto exist there will always be the bad heads among us. It will surprise you what people do to scam their other fellow. It is unimaginably, and each time I see that kind of stuffs. I always ask myself why can't these people do the right thing. Because the energy you channel into doing the wrong thing is still the same energy required to do the right thing. Most of the evil acts has even stoped me from participating in any airdrops again. And if I'm going to do any one, I normally do an extensive research on them so I will know that I'm in a right track.

Some airdrops are scary to process and have some malicious way to get the free tokens but it isnt much better to avoid such suspicious drop especially when you need to import or upload anything sensitive like wallet or important information that would lead to such breach?

Good thing I never get fond of airdrops on tron blockchain as Ive tried some shitcoin trading there before and got rugges by them. So checking correct iinformation when using this blockchain and tools for trading.  Cry

It's quite easy to avoid buying fake tokens as long as you pay attention. But is this the only trick that they use to steal some TRX tokens? I won't be surprised if the contract approval or something else can be used to drain all the tokens from the user's wallet without prior notice.

Yes, it is a scam and I have seen a few that are just a replica of known coins or tokens. For example I have seen three different types of Shiba Inu  (SHIB) & one for UnicSwap (UNC),LOL!  It resembles like uniswap.

https://tronscan.org/#/token/1004085 -ShibaInu (SHIB)
https://tronscan.org/#/token/1004007 -ShibaInu (SHIB)
https://tronscan.org/#/token/1004065 -SHIBAINU (SHIB)
https://tronscan.org/#/token/1003638 -UnicSwap (UNC)

They are all TRC10 tokens and they can be easily checked on tronscan. Thanks for the headsup.

Like me, others here will also agree that Tron is one of the best cryptocurrencies if you want to save in transaction fees through CEX exchanges. It is also quite fast and can be
for payments between two wallets.

As you know tronlink wallet (recommended wallet for Tron blockchain) supports the entire Tron ecosystem and through it, you can also swap tokens using justswap. Scammers are now using the justswap features to lure newbies who are using this wallet by doing scam airdrop. They are creating clone tokens of some of the top 50 cryptocurrencies on CMC. These tokens are TRC10 based tokens, which can be created easily and deployed on the Tron blockchain in just a few hours.

How does it work?

Whenever you recieve Tron in your tronlink wallet you will get a notification of a new asset that needs to be added to your wallet.
Upon checking the asset you will see a familiar cryptocurrency for a certain amount has been airdropped to your wallet.
One of them which got airdrop to one of my friend's wallets was AAVE.

On tronscan it looks like this

When I started investigating more about this token I found it was a fake token as the website mentioned does not even open.  I wanted to find out more about this scam, so I checked whether it is being traded on justswap and I found that it is being traded with small liquidity and there have been a few transaction too.

On justswap with small liquidity of $3

TRX swapped for AAVE

Let me remind you just like uniswap anyone can add a token on justswap by adding some liquidity. Justswap is a DEX of tron blockchain and it is very similar to uniswap or other famous defi DEX.

As always pay extra diligence when you are trading on these DEX, always do your research before buying any tokens.

Tronscan link  - https://tronscan.org/#/token/1003650
Original token - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/aave/
justswap link   - https://justswap.io/#/scan/detail/trx/TVUmDWgXqN27EfkyBS8EHtcispWamMcexm

It seems troinlinkpro has started identifying scam tokens. Almost all tokens that are meant to scam users are now showing this disclaimer when you view them. I think this is a good initiative from Tron blockchain.

I think this happened because this topic was created on this forum. I have been following this issue for more than a month now and nothing had happened before.
