I've always loved solving puzzles and that's how I got into gambling. In principle, any gambling game can be considered as a kind of puzzle. But there are a lot of elements I like about gambling. And calculating odds and various philosophical elements of sports, winning and losing. You know, it was gambling that led to the creation of the theory of probability. I believe that in gambling there are still a huge number of unexplored areas and an equally huge number of undiscovered patterns. Gambling teaches you to think probabilistically.

It's the unknown that really awaken gamblers, like you and me. It could be puzzle for you and you see yourself as a problem solver. But for me, it's the adventure, I mean we will have a boring life if everything is written for us and we all know what's going to happen next. And so it's a very different mindset if we gamble, we wanted to test our luck and again that unknown, we don't know what the next dice will be in relation to our bet. Or that last combination, last bet but then you hit the bonus and win big, that's adventure.

And that's what teaches us as well, beyond the wagering and we put everything in line. Others specially non-gamblers will not understand that risk that we take. That YOLO attitude. But if we look back at it, we can say one example is one thread that you open about the founder of CEO and how gambling save his company.

My personal observation is that I am now drawn to movies that have a casino story line. In the last couple of months I have seen more than 10 movies on gambling. It is almost relatable to real life. And I request that you reading  this recommend more casino movies with me. I tried it with casino books or novels but it is just boring.

I thought it was weird at first, because I know I’ve never fancied any movies that had to do with those type of storyline except it was a thriller movie or magical adventure type of movie but recently I noticed that I was able to complete “Uncut gems” without having to skip any scene of the movie. I guess my gambling habit might have contributed to it like you said.
The Uncut Gems is a nice movie, but for you not to have known outrightly the reason why you watched it completely could only make it uncertain that your gambling life made it possible, the reason should have struck you immediately. Any movie that is interesting will always be captivating, especially with some casts and it is not peculiar to our lifestyle at the same time. But for me, I do not think I've ever been so compelled to watch movies simply because they depict my hobbies. I have my kind of movies and frankly, I've let go of many gambling and crypto movies despite being fully involved in them.

However, if I see some characters in them, then they are my must-watch. But what gambling has made me undeniably do in my living is to be more calculative and managerial. I do not trust anything but calm down to analyze wisely before making a decision.

Hmmm, I like to be as optimistic as you. Wink

But, you are right. Somehow I get to try and make a strategy too whenever I play slots. I know there's no such thing when it comes to those types of games but what if there is?
What I do is withdraw quickly whenever I reach the minimum withdrawal amount. The only wall that I could see was the wagering requirement after winning a large amount and I have experienced it a lot of times.
One time I won the x400 in a slot game and I wanted to withdraw it quickly then a warning popped out telling me I had not reached the wager yet. Sadly, I lost it all while trying to reach that amount.
It's a strategy that I thought could work but there's always that obstacle where the system will cut you.

I think that as a player on gambling sites, I've started to like football more. I didn't watch anything and didn't care about my local teams at all.

However all this interaction with gambling led me to meet many people that like gambling, and for most of them sports love went hand in hand with it. So through discussion and friendships I've managed to pick up a taste for football too. Now I watch my local teams' progress and I also occasionally look into big matches. For someone that didn't watch big sports at all, I think this is a positive change. Now I too can resonate with something a very big part of society also does.

It's interesting though that most people have the exact reverse experience. In other words going into gambling because a lot of its promotion is based on sports and they liked sports from before.

What are some of the hobbies that you have picked up as a result of your long term gambling but that doesn't involve gambling? If you are an avid gambling who is not addicted that is you have control over your gambling you may have caught yourself unconsciously being attracted to so other activities within the sphere of gambling that doesn't involve wagering. As for me one of such hobbies /pastime is being active in a forum like this where there are gambling enthusiasts. I enjoy joining in the discussions that go on here, I also enjoy sharing tips and reading the experiences of other people with similar interests in gambling.
The habits that I can think of that one could get into if they are a gambling enthusiast are collecting items that are related to gambling such as decorative chips, gambling tables, cups, and classes with gambling logos and quotes, etc. Another hobby could be that a gambler might love watching gambling-related videos, movies, or streams where people gamble to entertain the audience. To be honest, I also love watching gambling videos and streams, it is just fun.

I think these are the hobbies that I can think of that a person can get into once they become a gambler if they are serious with their gambling or they enjoy gambling a lot and want to have everything related to gambling around them. Some people would also enjoy making friends with fellow gamblers they meet here and there.
A gambler must always want to involve himself and themselves into a gambling related tells and discussions through that they get possible information towards the team or club they are to bet to, most time it will be more interesting to join some groups that is entirely dedicated for gambling discussions without involving in any other activities. There is also this desire to start some kinds of affiliates programs such as sharing their ref codes and running promotion for a particular casinos that doesn't give him or her issues when making withdrawal or deposit.

On some level I think I have started to watch and enjoy more sports due to gambling. I watch a little tennis, soccer, and now and then rugby. If I plan on wagering 1 day I need to familiarize myself with the rules and players of these sports.

Everyone should strive to educate themselves in any gambling game, but also not let it control their life.

Before now I wasn't much into sports bet, I'd rather watch and discuss wrestling, but when I met friends who watch and bet on football matches, I picked interest in football. Now apart from gambling, I enjoy discussing football matches with friends, we will discuss and predict matches. Football discussions is a common thing among friends in my neighborhood and it's very interesting. This gambling section in this forum is another interesting place where I enjoy gambling discussions about different types of games, experiences and gambling news.

Aside gambling, I usually discuss with my gambling friends in real life. Some times we just laugh about our previous wins and share stories of interest. We share new ideas which would be profitable for us all. Gambling is fun when you sometimes take a leg out of the game. A continuous gambling activity will one put you into jeopardy and might even make ones life crush. Also this forum is where I mostly enjoy my gambling discussions. So when I have nothing doing or free from work I just get into any active thread a drop my opinion of the matter. It's a very interesting thing to j ow that I can really communicate with a lot of different Gamblers from all over the world. Where on a normal, it's difficult to get such unlimited access to opinions.

As part of the benefits i learn from the gambling activities of the forum which are non-gambling benefits are the socialites i got to meet from  here, the interactions and discussions, with openness to new opportunities after interactions, another aspect of benefits is from the learning angle, i also learn from here and in gambling, there is nothing as good as making fun while learning is taking place and you can as well get informed through the process.

Now I don’t have any strong interest in gambling other than making money. But back in 2016-2017, Bitsler used to make Bounty rolls, which is basically a contest where gamblers beat other gamblers by hunting a number in dice. The prize money was very high, and it was basically free money. So yes, these types of games where the prize is real money kept me attracted towards the gambling. I still miss those eras of gambling casinos. Just Primedice and Bitsler and their amazing events.

I am an active gambler in sports betting on football and several other sports and apart from that I have hobbies outside of betting such as watching every sports match and I even watch sports matches that I don't like.
So much so that I have a subscription to several paid applications to be able to watch every sports match continuously, even though I only bet on a few sports, but for me watching sports matches is really fun when I have free time.

I also have the same habit as you, if sometimes there are no matches scheduled, I start to read some new news on this forum, especially regarding football and other games too.
Even so, I am still an active gambler even though I have control and also have hobbies but I continue to bet every chance I get.

I've not really noticed anything new apart from the fact that I've started involving in football discussions more often than I would normally do and it's always about who would win the next match and which team is enjoying the best form or if they are any sure games. Normally I used to be a player fan and would of love players over clubs but now it's all the stake for me, but it's quite cool 😎.

Although I've also picked up a habit of asking people for ticket codes to see what they are up to and conpre with my own predictions to sometimes clear my doubts on some games that I'm not quite sure off or to try my luck on someone else wager.
Same with me. With the added spice of gambling, I started to be more active in different sports. I think this is the real purpose of gambling, it's just to add more fuel to the sport that we love so that we won't get bored with it.
UFC, Car Racing, Basketball, and Boxing, are sports that I do love but sometimes it gets boring to try and research and analyze the incoming game or fight because we will have nothing in return after the game. But, when we put some money on the line it changes everything, our perspective on the game, our cheering capability is enhanced, and we sometimes even shout for the game although we don't do that normally. Emotions that will make us watch the next game again. Wink

I think that's one thing that you will noticed if you started to bet on the favorite sports that you followed. And when you see discussions, obviously you want to involved yourself as you can have a say on the subject matter and can still increase your knowledge on that sports as well.

And mostly, you are going to tune in the matches, even if it might be late to your time zone because you have a bet on that game. Or you can enhance yours skills to predict those games because you are watching every game and see how this teams might fare against each other in the future.

Definitely, watching or listening from the radio more matches, races and other events. Or at least reading news about it, when you bet it's something you can hardly restrain yourself from doing because it interests you and because you think you can do something from those informations in order to place a better valued bet. In addition it's exciting to follow an event when you have bet on it or at least to learn how the event took place.

I also have similar experience. Because if you are betting on a particular sports, you tend to learn more about the game, the athletes, their current health conditions - yes, knowing their health and mental status somehow can affect their performance inside the field. Also, I try to check their social media tweets or other statements, what they have to say, and read between the lines. I'd say, if I am closely following a certain match, I think I become a gossip person. lol But not to the point that I will discuss it to other people. It is only for my own consumption and weigh my chances of my bets.

And this is why, discussion threads in this forum is quite helpful as you will read insights that you never think for yourself. Some users have actually good analyses of the upcoming events. You can already come up with good decision afterwards.

We all have our habits and we based our facts on the necessary plans for improvement and notwithstanding the pressuring force of the system. We gamble for extra changes for our pockets and not according to the outside plans. We have absolutely nothing to lose but our essential money in the pocket. Football discussion and engaged ourselves with football related predictions groups and telegram channels, atleast they will provide aides for us when it comes to games. We predict and most time our predictions doesn't go according to plans.

There is a gambling platform that has got a chat box where Gamblers get to meet and express their selves and probably share ideas on how well to gamble some even State out some strategies which help them to win, i have picked intrest in that chat box that i just find myself always there whenever I'm not gambling or on the forum here, some even share their gambling stories a s some of these stories are funny and rib cracking while the others has got a whole lot of lessons to learn for it.

Away from that place is a fan zone in telegram that i joined so as to get updates on happenings around teams and they have actually helped my knowledge a whole lot scrolling through the channel as they do have both speculations, rumors and facts about football.

Hmmm. I haven't picked up anything gambling related really, I mean if we're talking about hobbies and pastimes that is.

But if we're talking about mannerisms and certain behaviors that we might've unconsciously picked up from gambling, then I got a few, for one, I'm becoming even more versed with shuffling cards in a multitude of ways, so there's that. I also have become more smarter when it comes to managing risks and money, partly I guess from the fact that the discipline I got from gambling which is practically forged in fire by the way, after a very destructive gambling addiction and its rehabilitation. Back in my younger days I am a little on the reckless side, and would most definitely jump on the first sight of opportunity without gauging my options, thinking that would be the last time I'm going to be able to catch that chance or whatever.

These days I find myself weighing my options even in the most trivial things, like perhaps what food to eat for the day, or where to go when I wanna hang out with people and I don't know which house to visit first. For more crucial decisions, of course I see the difference. Thankfully this is because I literally had to work towards gaining that much discipline.

I am now drawn into video clips and movies related to gambling stories, and mehn, I have learned a lot, I am thinking that these movies are best kept for myself in case someone close to me either friends or family member can benefit from if they ever get lost or get addicted to gambling.

If so many gamblers lived through the experience of other gamblers they might be able to be very careful when they gamble, when you don't see addicted gamblers sharing their past experience  in gambling people will think that it's working out for most gamblers out there.

The sad fact is, it's not, most gamblers lose their money and only a very limited number of gamblers get lucky for real, the earlier people know this the better it will be if they plan to start gambling, if you haven't watch some I recommend.

Like, Owning Mahoney, High roller, bugsy and much more, they are based on real live events.

That means you have enough to read on the forum to warrant it being your hobby to pass the time because if it is writing mostly, you will not spend more than a few times. Well, you have done well to at least find an alternative to addiction, but in my own, I do not have any addiction to fight, there is no trace of it at all so I am not even trying to pretend there is and be looking for an alternative to fight issues. For this, I continue to remain myself and do what I always do in normal life. I gamble when I want to, read books when want to, engage in forums and social media activities when I want to, trade when I want to, cook when I want to, drink when I want to, stay idle and think when I want to, exercise when I want, and sleep when I want to among others.

This is what I could term willpower at work since I have control over whatever I want to do and the place I want to be. The main reason is that I am never desperate for the money to be gained in gambling as I view it as a funfilled avenue that can give money if one is so lucky, so I never take it seriously as such.

In my case, I started analyzing all the games I watch even when I didn't place a bet, before I only cared about games in the big leagues, such as the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the Portuguese League. but after a few months that I was involved I became interested in the Turkish league, the Dutch league, the Brazilian league and when I watch the games I analyze each player and the coaches' decisions, before I got involved in sports betting I didn't did that. I just limited myself to watching the games and I didn't watch many games and I also don't follow the games often. It's funny that I see that analyzing the games I'm going to watch gives me more pleasure than when I just watched the games

This is because while I watch the game and see that the result of the game is going in the direction of my predictions, it makes me happy and even when it is not going completely in the direction of my predictions, I keep thinking about where I went wrong to correct it, I do it without involving money, just for fun. Also when I started getting involved in sports betting I started following the UFC, this was something I didn't even think about doing before I got involved in betting, but as I saw that football games come at a time when they took vacations, so I I would need to continue my bets, that's why I researched UFC, but today, when the big league games stop, I also stop placing my bets. I've just been following UFC and boxing and tennis without betting.
The truth is that it is a bit difficult to keep up to date with so many sports. I am very aware of European football, that includes La Liga, PL, Bundesliga, Serie A, but it is very difficult to watch them all, sometimes the match times Clash and it is difficult, I still go, but the Portuguese La Liga and other leagues already They don't give me time, with respect to boxing and the UFC it is easier for me to do the analysis because here the important thing is to know the capabilities of the athlete players, this is something that when we are Involved in this we can do well, of course it is something which we will always focus on doing better and doing well, it's really hard to keep up with all the proteins, I couldn't even keep up with baseball, basketball or something, Other than I don't like those sports.

As a movie enjoyer, I'm interested to know what are your most recommended movie/s in this line of category Cheesy
Here are my top three recommended casino videos which I watched recently and loved them.  A brief synopsis follows.

Rain Man - I counted three casino scenes. In the first one Charlie and Raymond gamble are at a casino called Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The second Charlie is alone in the casino gambling and in the third scene Charlie and Raymond are both back at the casino in Las Vegas.

"21" - An MIT student uses his knowledge of math together with some other student to win a lot of money at casinos in Las Vegas. They were mentored by their professor. One of the reasons for gambling was to get quick money to pay his tuition.

The Last Casino -  In this movie 3 students are recruited by their professor and taught how to count cards so that they can go to the casino, play and win for him because he was banned from the casino after his was caught counting cards.

~

I would like to know how you have enough free time for this. After I became seriously interested in betting, I began to watch fewer games (at least completely, since spending 2 hours on one game is too wasteful), or to be more precise, I began to watch more games, but in text format and a lot in parallel mode. And I focus more not on sports indicators (although they need to be taken into account) but rather on statistics.

My interest on the sports I'm betting grew. I mean, because of gambling, I was able to love them more because I love to watch the game every time I'm betting on a particular team. It's not only on games actually, even on fights like UFC and boxing, I'm also loving it and gambling has introduce them to me. It's not easy to win when you are not familiar with the sport you choose, but eventually you'll fall in love with it and your confidence will grow.

I don't know if it's still not related to my gambling activity, but since my gambling activitiy is sports betting, so there's quite a relation to it.

Perhaps getting familiar with games which are otherwise uninteresting to me. I am now betting on eSports matches and leagues which I used to know nothing about. If not for gambling, I wouldn't have made myself familiar with Mobile Legends, for example. I still don't play the game until now. I still don't find it worth my time and energy, but I became a little familiar with the game, the players, the leagues, and so on because I bet on them. My gambling experience with this started because of the influence of my friends. It didn't really become my hobby, though.

This is the same with other sports. There was even a time I knew some table tennis and lawn tennis players because I was tailing somebody's bets on the sports.

I think we are on the same page.
My habit now is to share my picks in either NBA or MMA (UFC), and sometimes boxing too. Simply because I love those sports and it gives me pleasure if I can share all my analysis, predictions, and picks. It doesn't mean they have to tail it, somehow there must be one gambler out there who is just looking for an idea of what he will bet for the day and that is where the shared picks will be useful. It became my habit to do that and I enjoy it unconsciously until now that you float the question.
Before, I also liked talking to the chatroom of Stake.com but when some pessimistic guys came in, I stopped. I like it more when the chatroom is just sharing stories and optimistic about their bets. It's necessary because of the stressful environment of gambling.

I agree that managed gambling can lead to productive hobbies. Joining a forum is about sharing tips, understanding other viewpoints, and respecting alternative approaches to the same task. Critical thinking and socialization improve with this engagement. Community learning about probability, risk management, and financial planning is valuable in many areas of life. It shows how hobbies may become major learning lessons that deepen your awareness and respect of the world.

What are some of the hobbies that you have picked up as a result of your long term gambling but that doesn't involve gambling?
I have a few hobbies on this but I think this very one will be very interesting to share. I take it as compulsory fun habit following my friends that are fans of my rival club to go watch their club matches with them at our favourite football viewing centre, I make sure we all seat close just with the intention to laugh and make fun of their team when they're losing a game. It's a banter we all both share among ourselves. I have this particular friend who is forever ready to drive the few miles just to come pick me up from the house on evening's my club will be playing, all just to make fun of me should my club loss the match.

During the early years in gambling usually I mostly chase my losses and my temptation to win it back is high and later on these years I managed to calm myself down and control my emotions, which is a good trait that adopt in daily lives for instance watching a series for a long time and it's now late, I am tempted to watch another one but since I get used to gambling habit of controlling my temptation or desire, I managed to overcome it along with other things like drinking or playing games excessively. I called it "That's enough" method  Cheesy

I have always loved mathematics and betting has refreshed my interest in it. When I calculate the odds of outcomes in games and various tricky combinations of how to place a bet, sometimes I have to return to the mathematical section of probability theory and remember how to do the calculations correctly. In general, now even if I don’t need it in a practical sense, I like to watch various videos on YouTube about mathematical paradoxes or unsolved problems, it’s actually very exciting.
I haven't really paid much attention to other sections on the casinos before or on gambling sites that offers external services such like forum for gamblers discussion or sections where gamblers can make odds calculations or some other mathematical practices,  but sure I understand what both of you guys have posted but since I haven't experience any of them before I won't be able to give accuracy of information so for that I have to go along with you guys but asking a little questions.

How can someone who bearly have time to gamble develop that time to use other features within the casinos as mentioned by both of your guys.

Personally, I started to see the "numbers" and "percentage" differently.
I become interested in financial aspects that I previously ignored.
This led to me to a better money management even in my private life and not only on gambling aspects.
I thinks it's also fascinating the aspect related physicology behind gambling.
I become pretty interested on these aspects and enjoyed a lot since these are not only linked to gambling.

Guessing the result of the match is something that I do with my friends but that's not too often as I don't watch the match too often. Only if I gather with my friends in a cafe and we knows that some matches will takes place. Maybe at that time, we are not realizes of what we do but that's fun to predict what team will wins and what score in the end of the match. Maybe we are enjoy in the discussions that go on here and that can helps us to learn something that will gives advantages to us. Reading the tips from my friends is also something that will gives us knowledge about the match. That can helps us to learn from that tips to improve our skills because we can asks something from our friends if we don't understand it. But we must be careful and not gets tempts if we knows that can makes us to place a bet because we already have a schedule to playing gambling and we must stick to that schedule.

I would say trying out new foods.
I know it feels unrelated but there's this thrill and curiosity to try something new either I later regret it or not but enjoy taking the gamble.
Even with this I can't pass the importance of my quiet time
It makes me detach from the stress or anxiety of taking a gamble
This has helped me in reigning on my emotions and getting by in making less risky move
It removes the feeling of trying to regain my loss and feels like you learning Tai Chi.
So in a nutshell I would the hobby have picked up is enjoying my alone time and trying new cuisines.

Only a few people can control their addictive nature in gambling places because the rest are still addicted to gambling places, like I often visit online gambling places, even though I only place bets limited to the capital I have, I still have to be able to control the money I have. use it to place bets. I find it difficult to leave gambling sites and if I have to then I will have to travel long distances or we can visit a gym to get in better shape. That way I slightly reduce the time I spend not visiting gambling sites.
Yea you are right, only few people can control their addictive nature in gambling. Sometimes no matter how hard people try not to get addicted they still find themselves being Addicted. Just like you talked about traveling a long distance or going to the gym and not visiting the gambling site , it may play some role in reducing the addiction but how long will it last? Because going to the gym requires a little time and surely you must come back home and face your fear. travelling you talked about may only be possible if you are not travelling with your mobile device or you are totally uninstalling the online app on your phone where you may not be able to gamble online but depends on offline games which if you stake on it, you will need to see the results before staking another game.

I'm not sure if that counts, but I was never into sports; I'd never watch a football match, except for special occasions such as the finals of the European Super League and when my country was playing. In simple words, I was never interested in or intrigued by football. After I became involved with casinos and gambling, I acknowledged the money-making opportunities I'd open by participating in sports betting, and I don't regret it. Now, I occasionally watch football, at least once or twice per week, mostly on Sundays that I have my day off, while I've made a reasonable amount of money through bets.
Sometimes it would be happening that way. Gambling could really be a stimuli for an individual to engage into something. Same goes for me who isn't really gambling in real life but have learned playing card games on my early years in gambling industry and I happened to like it. Then preference would take place getting you to other things which could yield to enjoyment. At least there is a bright side for gambling which is unlocking new interests such as sports. I know there are people who isn't into any sport but isn't it great to see that someone is enjoying sports industry? Although gambling is not a requirement. If it is just entertainment with proper risk management, gambling could still be a good activity that people could find joy with. Well, losing will always be a part of it but at least if you don't lose more than your risk appetite could endure, then I think there's no chances for addiction to happen.

If I'm not going into the casino to place a bet on any particular game, one thing that usually attracts me there is to watch live matches and follow up on some other people's predictions to see how the game will go and how my prediction will go if it plays according to my prediction or not.

Sometimes it's just to watch some of the virtual games, either horse racing or any of these animal sports, which only a few casinos offer. Aside from visiting an online casino, I don't know if I ever have time to go and search for or watch any of those games in any viewing centre.

Apart from gambling, on weekends I like to play billiards with my friends. and almost all of them have been involved and some are still actively gambling, including me personally. Gambling can indeed lead to unhealthy habits. In the beginning, apart from me really liking playing billiards, another goal of this hobby was to keep myself busy so I didn't gamble too often. However, instead of playing billiards preventing me from gambling, we instead added betting to the billiard game, with the aim of making the billiard game even more interesting to play. In the end, our daily lives cannot be separated from betting.

Indeed, when we add bets to a hobby that we like, that hobby will become more interesting to do, but because there is a certain amount of money at stake in it, sometimes this can cause disputes between us. Because when talking about money, a person becomes more sensitive and is easily provoked by emotions, so that in the end we are not able to enjoy this hobby properly.

Well i've noticed that people that i find funny, in a similar dark sense of humor, that i see as potential friends and connect immediately with, are almost every time either gamblers or ex gamblers. This is most likely because i have adhd, and automatically connect with others that have that. Adhd comes with dopamine deficiency, and dopamine is something i get from things like gambling. And as my fellow adhd peeps aren't that good at planning with money, they tend to gamble for dopamine kicks and as "shortcut for riches" (which almost never is a good idea).  If someone has a dice tattooed somewhere, i probably get along with them.

Other than that i can relate better to anyone who loses money or wins money, in very core level, as i can still get that feeling to my stomach when i was in loss and nearly lost my apartment. So, when i see people losing their money on movies or something like that, i sense if the writer knows what he/she is talking about. And i relate to gamblers in movies a lot.

Watching sports I otherwise would not watch.  Like NHL hockey.  I've tended to watch more of these games even when I'm not betting on them.  And even in the sports I do watch I tend to watch teams I generally would not usually watch like a San Antonio Spurs vs Houston game or something like that.  I've been more interested in following specific sports players as well and even fi d myself cheering for them

Once they become gamblers, they always remain gamblers, even when they pursue other hobbies such as sports with friends, to make the sports they do more interesting and challenging, they always place bets in them. For example, someone has a hobby of cycling, but to make the hobby more interesting, they compete in speed and place bets on it.

When someone is very addicted to gambling and betting, this will really become a bad habit. People who integrate betting as a routine part of their day often stray from an engagement with fitness and enjoyment, becoming preoccupied instead with wagers—which are typically outcome-focused. The development of such a tendency could foster addiction to gambling, thereby nurturing several other adverse issues such as those related to finance and personal relationships. For this reason, there is a need to maintain the interest as a pleasurable pastime alone and avoid introducing any elements associated with betting that could potentially dismantle it.

Maybe the one thing that I picked up because of gambling is the character of picking the risk that I should take on, we all know not all risk should be done, there are what we called calculated risk wherein you know if you should take the risk or not as for me I adopt that and applyung that in many ways mot just in gambling, more like a habbit, I'm uncnciously doing that and as a result I can minimize the losses or damage in every decision I have, so yeah not all things about gambling is bad its up to the person on how will he do good or bad in gambling, if you kmow you cant do good in gambling or pick up good things or traits in gambling then there's a problem with you. Learn how to make negative into positive like in gambling I'm sure gambling teach as important lessons.

That makes you not to be a fan of the game then, and you only follow the game when you have a bet staked, any ways there are ways that you may be getting notifications from those football score sites such as livescores and a few of the others so even when you are not betting you may have to follow up to keep up-to-date.
That is what I noticed. I do that most when I want to bet on matches. If my favorite clubs are playing, it will not come to my mind about what they want to play at all. But sometimes you will know that a club would win and they will not disappoint.

This will help you to make better decisions and choices when you are about to select your games to bet, that is what make football the most popular bets among gambler's because of the readily available information about teams, clubs, and player's.
According to 2021 report, people spend most on casinos.

Quote
The most popular forms of online gambling around the world are sports betting and online casinos, with the global sports betting market said to be worth almost $203 billion, and the online casino industry at around $270 billion.

It was a passion for gambling for me. I noticed that if I am not gambling, I may not check the score sites to know the clubs that are playing matches. But if I want to gamble on sport, I will check score sites and from there I can analyze and guess who would win a match. But some people that are not gamblers just like to do such prediction when common clubs in leagues like premier league are playing. I agree with what you said.
That makes you not to be a fan of the game then, and you only follow the game when you have a bet staked, any ways there are ways that you may be getting notifications from those football score sites such as livescores and a few of the others so even when you are not betting you may have to follow up to keep up-to-date.

Unironically card counting. I never really used it effectively, but I did learn about how it's used and I've tried doing it before in a match with a friend (they were aware, and no money was involved. Purely for my practice).

Other than that, then game knowledge for eSports. I play League so it didn't change there, maybe knowing how to read stuff better but that's it. Dota 2 was something I didn't really play but I did play Dota, so when I watch the games I have a bit of an idea of what's happening but nothing too deep. Watching tourneys for a long time made me build up game knowledge about it even though I never really played it myself. Fundamentals wise I still suck though once I tried it out.

As a gambler, every single knowledge you get from playing becomes your experiences both during your loss and winning. With each of them you get to know ideas and strategies which may likely work out for you anytime you wish to gamble. Just like you said, this forum is the only place where many Gamblers gets to discuss issues relating to gambling and how to tackle these ideas. We get to share ideas and opinions so anyone and apply in their gambling activities. Also, I make predictions for other people to play with. Kind of like for fun but sometimes my friends do call me to say they actually won.
You must be a psychic and an asset to your friends.

If I do a prediction for my friends, they already know they have lost already.
Beyond betting, I am attracted to streamers who play games online. I watch them and comment of their games. The games I like to watch is slots.

Knowing that some of these streams and its disadvantages, I stick with only lest than 4 live streamers on the YouTube.

My personal observation is that I am now drawn to movies that have a casino story line. In the last couple of months I have seen more than 10 movies on gambling. It is almost relatable to real life. And I request that you reading  this recommend more casino movies with me. I tried it with casino books or novels but it is just boring.

As a movie enjoyer, I'm interested to know what are your most recommended movie/s in this line of category Cheesy

but recently I noticed that I was able to complete “Uncut gems” without having to skip any scene of the movie.

oh shit, adam sandler + A24? sign me up lmao.

It wasn't in the trailer but it apprears MC was into sports betting, did he do other gambling games too? -- i think it's safe question, likely not to be a spoiler otherwise, ignore it lol.

One habit I picked up is trying to predict the correct scores of matches even if I did not bet on them. I see a match and subconsciously try to figure out who will come out on top, what the score will be, which players are most likely to score and other possibilities. But this could be down to my passion for the sports and not gambling.

When you talk about gamblers perception towards games and what they feel about them when not gambling or not directly involved,  then you have to pick gambling like sport bets because since most games in sport bet doesn't require gambler participation so it easy to become a fan of the team of players that are playing the games without being involved.

E.g, those that bet of sport,  and have being fans of football games will easily watch the match without betting on them.

As for me one of such hobbies /pastime is being active in a forum like this where there are gambling enthusiasts. I enjoy joining in the discussions that go on here, I also enjoy sharing tips and reading the experiences of other people with similar interests in gambling.

Only what I noticed is that I am close to some of my friends that are gambling. We talk about gambling and learn from each other. We do not use addiction to joke and we talk against it, how it can start and what someone can do to avoid addiction. Aside that I prefer also to post on gambling board on this forum also which has been very helpful for me.
