The BFL 60Ghs unit is SHA256 and you wont make much on nicehash with it. Your alienware is probably CPU mining an altcoin so will make more but will kill the CPU relatively quickly. YOu need an ASIC of the Terrahash (Ths) range of power or more to earn anything. Then its all subject to electricity cost anyway as to whether you make a profit or loss.

I didn't know BFL promised scrypt miners in two weekstm.
I think you need to use an SHA256 pool.

Hello, as stated I am using a 60Ghz/s unit from butterfly labs. I am a complete noob and very confused.

I need to mine through NiceHash. I connect to them through bfgMiner. I make a .conf file as instructed and it saves. But I can never, ever get bfgMiner to load the config file.  Huh

So I type in the following manually after lauching bfgMiner:

URL: scrypt.usa.nicehash.com:3333
USERNAME: 1MWQTEA7wSd9YEwRLERq78JtSitndoiNYs
PASSWORD: X

My machine is not performing well. I am estimated to make $.29 an hour running the 60Ghz machine. However when I run my Alienware Area 51 directly through the NiceHash miner which has very little Mhs I make over $3 an hour.

I purchased this Butterfly Labs unit to perform better on NiceHash.

I am so confused. Ive read everything I possibly can on the interenet.  Cry

This is where I am getting most of my setup info: https://www.nicehash.com/?p=asic

Here is a screenshot of my failing for hours and burning a ton of electricity:

I've searched the web over and I keep coming back to this site to articles that almost solve my problem. I got it to run a couple accepted blocks once for five minutes.

Please help,
truly yours Hopeless Noob 2017
