Topic: [BFGMINER] "Longpoll from pool 0 requested work update" - what does that mean? (Read 5427 times)

bfg/your miner requests work from your pool to do, then submits its work and asks for more. From what I can see, your pool is slow at delegating work to your miner, and even when it does its small shares so your miner is sitting idle more often than it is actually mining. Maybe you should try a different pool.

Hi there,
I am mining some FRC with bfgminer and a little USB miner on a p2pool. Bfgminer reports the following:
What does the message "Longpoll from pool 0 requested work update" exactly mean? And what does it mean that there are more of these msg than the "accepted" msg? Everything ok or would it mine more efficient if less of the "work update" msg would be visible?
