not happy with placement choice of the "little" single. why wouldn't you have them evenly spaced to better spread out the heat? (ideally at the corners)

This isn't something I would be concerned about - In fact, they may be placed that way FOR cooling purposes - all forced convection heatsinks have areas that are cooler because of the flow characteristics of the forced air.

happy that the single and the little single "seem" to have the same supporting hardware on the board (meaning, it doesn't look like the little single was neutered by limiting the power, which with proper cooling, should allow more overclocking headroom)

extremely happy if someone with better knowledge of these things could confirm or deny my suppositions, and provide the reasoning...

o.O shiny. BFL might actually be serious this time when they say they're shipping this month.

I for one am shocked, but at the end of the day, I'm sure they'll find a way to delay into April/May.

I haven't dug around on the site to see if any performance details have been posted, but we got some sexy new pictures!

Also, if you look back to the first few posts in that thread, they predicted this week as being when the chips would be put on the boards and everything would start assembly. (I added a week for extended testing, because I think they're trying to rush too much here at the end, but they're holding pretty true to their last timeline prediction) Wether or not the chips on that board are actually attached or just resting for show, I don't know, but there are exciting times ahead... Assuming the blockchain makes it through this crisis split issue. We'll have to see...
