So has anybody decided to scrape the site yet with all these chip codes for sale. One could conceivably figure out a better tally on what was ordered from BFL even from those who were not forthcoming in the pre-order thread.

What is the average BFL asic buyer going to do with a chip? Don't you need a highly technical background to even be able to do anything with it?
