No BFL has still to reach April 30th 2013 shipping dates but they are closing on that date so maybe before Xmas. Smiley

My order was earlier in April and arrived about a week ago. So you shouldn't have to wait much longer.

I got  my Jala a few weeks ago. I ordered in March 2013. I had tried of get a refund from BFL but I was unsuccessful. So when it came I was lukewarm about the unit. I could sell it on eBay and get my money back but decided what the hell and configured it running with a raspberry pi. I like it now and am happy I didn't sell it or get a refund. I know I will never roi but it's a nice unit. Compact and relatively quiet. I put my coffee mug on it in the morning and it keeps it warm for hours. Also because I guess BFL was being generous or didn't give a fuk, I received a nice surprise when I turned on the unit. They sent me a 8 GHs unit. I didn't pay for a upgrade and thought I was getting a 5GHs unit. It is hashing away at 7.8 GHs right now. So even thought BFL has screwed a lot of people with delays, I guess I am a happy BFL customer.

you will make more with vga, at least you can get them now, and even with electricity cost, you can make profit in two month
example
4x7950(they need 250 watt each, so 1kw per hour) at 600mh=2400mh x24 hours=0.12 bitcoin a day=3.6 in one months
energy cost 0.25 x 24kw at day= 6 euro, in one month 180 euro
now 4,5 bitcoin are 105 euro x3.6=about 380 euro

so you make about 200 a month.

obv this at current exchange

good thing about vga, is that you need them anyway, so don't take in to account the total cost of 4 vga

+1 but Jalapeño nice small unit i would like to keep it on my desktop just for fun Tongue and cheaper than GPU .

Money doesn't matter. Your only chance is infiltrating the factory by seducing Josh with a hot prostitute.

Well you can always upgrade your existing Jalapeño order to overnight shipping for the bargain price of $100 each.

Seems like a desperate cash grab if you ask me.

They changed their terms of sale,

used to say "2 months",

now it says "2 months or more"

BFL time is half of real time so probably means 4 months at least.  Wink

The real answer is that there are too many unknown variables to even speculate on a delivery date. Could be a few months if they get their stuff together, could be a few years following past trends and practices by BFL. I ordered a Jalapeno in Sept. and I'm hoping I'll get in in a month or two but wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to the end of the year.

Hi,
if i want to buy BFL Jalapeño  today when i get it ?

hope Josh answer .

I can do that for him. He would say something like this: "You'll get your unit in maybe two weeks? And no shut up you motherfucking piece of shit and give us your money".

Just in the extremely unlikely case that you get your Jalapeno not in two weeks, but sometime after August 2013 (after the 490,000 Avalon ASIC chips have been deployed), here is what it will look like:

i think from your posts that if i buy it today i wont get it till year 3000   Cheesy

Of course I was joking about waiting on a electronics engineering freshman to graduate from college. Tongue  However, you really might be better off just finding out what the best Avalon options are. Who knows, one of the DIY folks might actually have something ready to ship before BFL get's their act together. I'd play the fence for now.

i saw post before josh said the BFL can produce 400 unit per day .

And I can drive 1400 miles/day in a car but I'm not doing that.  BFL has shipped about 25 jalapenos per Jody in the last 5 business days.  It may be a while before they can ramp up to 400.  And nobody knows how many orders they have.  If they have 40K worth of units ordered then that's at least 100 days assuming all units are same amount of assembly time.

...and then there's the wait on sc singles after that. Personally, I'd readily buy any products ready now to ship that are based on Avalon. I don't care about power consumption. Timely shipping is all that matters at this point. Does BFL realize it yet? The BFL power issue is akin to a fumble picked up by Avalon in the last quarter of the game... or Is it just my imagination that Avalon may be stronger than BFL if they decide to take this to the next level. Seems Avalon should have the funds to do so by now.

Granted, BFL does make more elegant module designs, imo. But in the end, cost/performance and readiness to deliver will get the sales.

It's possibly you would be just as well off if you knew a college freshman set on studying electronic engineering to develop the product for you once he/she graduates.

Per BFL website you will get it in July.
Per Josh's latest answer you will get it in August/September
Per BFL detractors it will arrive sometime in 2014.

Based on who you trust pick your answer.

Yup when you hear "Aug/Sep" rest assured you will get it in January 2014.

Most people who ordered in June 2012 have not received their orders yet, so there are ten months of orders to work through before BFL gets to processing yours.  BFL have not stated how long that may take.  Best guesstimates by forum users are at least two or three months.
