Maybe y'all should start a bounty fund now for a mod to feed them more power and run them at 7.5Ghps. Grin

The Jalapeno draws it's power from two USB port connectors.  Both need to be connected to achieve the full 4.5 GH/s performance.  (At the users discretion, a single USB connector can be used if it has a 2nd head split off as is common for use with laptop DVD drives).

This makes sense. I have had external 2.5" HDD's like this.......

Okay i've read Alot of back and fourth banter about How the Jalapeno BFL ASIC will be powered.
Some say it will (need) use 1 USB connector
Some say it will use two USB connectors, As a safeguard.
Some say it will use a DC barrel plug to power it
Some just say "its USB POWERED jackass"
Some just say "USB power has a huge limit"

To double as a coffee warmer, I'm leaning toward wall.
