Maybe but as said: "hope dies latest" Smiley
I want to try fix it not for btc but for fun and educational. 60GHs in our days is almost nothing but it's a good PCB for practice.
My last chance is to check for short circuits and try to eliminate them if any.

Good news and bad news.
The good news is that now the cgminer says: bitforce detect : etc...
Bad news is that after many tries and driver replacements the miner never connects to a pool and the screen says: ZOMBIE

What can i check further inside to debug the fault part?
TIA

I'm sad to say but I think that your miner has likely bit the dust.
I don't think you would have been making much on it though really.. 60gh/s isn't anything these days.
Hopefully you got close to ROI, although I highly doubt BFL ever sold anything that did.

I don't think the problem only on FTDI chips. There might be another part of miner already damage.
Maybe but for now the only thing i can do is replacing the chip. My question is:
What do i need to make it work? Should i pre-program it first and how? Or can i put it as it is?
Please anyone describe the proccess.
TIA

Dear friends,
recently my single 60GHs miner from bfl labs stops working. I need some technical advice here.
Before one week my miner stoped. I 've noticed that both the PC and the miner is dead too.
The PSU of miner (the black bfl labs psu) has catch up fire and burns the PCB.
When i fix the PSU and measure it the output was 13,8V DC at 20 amps current rate.
I 've tried to power the miner and the device starts blowing at first and after it stops spining the fans and remains at low speed
which is normal. So far so good.
But unfortunately when i connect the miner to a host PC the USB section of device doesn't work.
I notice a small resistance beetween pin 6 of the FTDI chip and ground.
When i put this IC off the PCB the small resistance goes off to.
I 've already order a new one FTDI chip from ebay.
My question is: What do i need to put the miner in working mode again? Do i need to program the new chip and how can i do that?
I have a multi programmer for some EPPROMS and PICS too but i don't know if i can do it only with that.
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA
