It's just a marketing name for the custom ASIC chip they are developing, as opposed to the FPGA they are using in their current products. How they will deploy this chip in a final product is to be determined - they will probably offer both a small box (with just one or a few chips) and a large one, like they do now.

It's technically called a Supercomputer Wafer, which is a bajillion cpu's on a single "disk"


As you can see with the picture above, you can see the crosscut sections in which each of the cpu's lie.

As for the reason they aren't shipping units with it... That lies unknown to me.

I don't get it? Why is it a chip and not a unit?
