He requested it be moved because you're asking about altcoin mining hardware in the bitcoin mining hardware subforum. There's a different place for altcoin mining hardware discussions, in the altcoin mining subforum.

guess you're right  Grin
Sorry, my bad!

Its cool.

here are some alt coin links:

I asked mods to move this to alt scrypt coins section

if you want here is a gridseed link on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gridseed-GC3355-ASIC-Scrypt-SHA-256-USB-Dual-BTC-LTC-Miner-GUARANTEED-/181766271902?

I do not know the seller but what the fuck it is under 30 usd

Why did you ask this to be moved. it is hardware we are talking about here....
Unfortunately, This seller does not ship to my country... and I'm not looking for these old gridseeds. These wouldn't ever be profitable.

And with any luck you could upgrade it with a new board from either J4bberwock (SFARDS' BTC/LTC chip) or GekkoScience (Bitmain BM1384 - though undecided on production); keep the fan and heat sink Wink

Hi guys! I'm interested in buying a Scrypt miner and recently I have found the BH USB miner.

From what I've learned these guys are probably a Scam.

The BH Miner capacity was too good to be true.

Pay attention to these guys because I really think it is a Scam.

You guys can take a look:

I'm still interested in acquiring a Scrypt miner so if you have some tips please let me know!

Technically, 5MH at 3W/MH is possible using the upcoming SFARDS chips.
But you'll only need 2, maybe 3 chips.
2A * 5v = 10w.
3w/MH * 5-6.9MH = 15-21w

They didn't even bother to do some math.

And don't expect to draw 15w from your standard USB port...

Afaik, the "minion2" chips they are supposed to use doesn't exist.

Their SHA2(5)6 usb miner is even better:

Quote
SHA26,
Hashrate: ~100GH/s out of the box, up to 120GH/s overclocked,
 Power usage: ~0.75W per GH,
 Dimentions: 28x60mm without usb plug,
 Voltage: 5V
 Power requirement: 2-2.5A

0.75w/GH * 100GH = 75w
5v x2A = 10w
It seems that besides hashing, those USB stick are even generating the extra power they need to run  Grin

pictures are simply some old Block erupter USB with a photoshopped logo on it.

Don't waste your time with them.

For in stock scrypt miners, you should search some second hand Gridseed blades/G-black.
I'd avoid Zeus/Gaw miners since efficiency is worst than Gridseed, and they don't like undervolt to acheive better efficiency.
If you can afford and find them, Alcheminer 256/MAT excalibur  could be a good choice, but they don't work weel on all pools.
KNC TITAN is overpriced, and it's KNC, but the most efficient option available right now.

Yeah, pretty well-known scam.  The USB device is just a Block Erupter USB (Bitcoin, 330Mh/s) with bad photoshopping on top.

If you were looking for a similar device, but for Scrypt, you'd have to look at DualMiner USB or LKETC USB devices.  They're not very widely available (anymore), so you'd have to check for a reputable seller - but at least the devices exist and work as designed.

Now for the replies that say you shouldn't buy that and buy an A2 Terminator instead, or not do that and instead wait for SFARDS' miner (no price known yet), or not do that either because of the Litecoin halving coming up and to look into mining X11 coins instead... see below Wink  Regardless, this is in the wrong section - you wanted the Altcoin Mining section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0
