If there is any explanation behind it, I think has more to do with the strategy of Biden to replace the Russian oil by other alternative sources, for example, not long ago USA lifted sanctions against my country in a partial way, so we can start to sell oil again in the market, increasing offer and decreasing prices.
Though, I don't have doubts there must be important CEOs and representatives of the oil companies secretly backing Trump (because it is food for their business), but it takes more than a glance at the gas pump to reach those conclusions.
By the way, it is quite impressive to me you actually have a "Dem buddy" by the way you talk around here in the forum, I would have guessed you stay at least 4 miles away from anyone you suspect to be a democrat.
My talk in the forum is against corruption. It happens that the Dem and RINO leaders are the corruption, not simple Dem Americans who have misplaced trust in their leaders. It's the leaders I am talking against, not the people, who don't really understand what is going on.
America has plenty of oil under the lands of America. If Trump finds reason to increase Federal tariffs on oil imports, such will disrupt their steady flow of things. It will bring oil jobs back to America, and will make America greater in the oil arena.
So, Big Oil is 'petting' Trump by lowering prices, just to keep him from having reasons to upset their foreign oil apple cart in case he gets elected.
In fact, the only way that they are going to be able to take Trump down is to assassinate him. And that is what they are planning, even if we only see it in words, at the moment.
i’m quite not sure how he can make america great again if he is now ineligible to run for presidency after his ruling in colorado
he is popular, true, in a sense that he is the first presidential candidate to be declared disqualified under the 3rd section of the 14th amendment made right after the civil war where it states that anyone who have participated in rebellion can not run for a federal position anymore
other states are also filing for lawsuits
All States must have write-in spots on their ballots. If they don't, or if they don't count Trump's votes, they are opening themselves up for lawsuits against the persons of the various courts by the people directly. The whole thing is advertising to attempt to degrade Trump's popularity.
In addition, Trump and his people are taking such rulings to the Federal Supreme Court. This whole thing might be considered election interference by SCOTUS. There is a lot of time until the actual election. Part of the reason why the States are doing this, now, is to see what SCOTUS will have to say about it.
Because individual States have authority for their elections processes, the whole thing has to go through the election people of the State, and not the State Supreme Court. It's a very sensitive subject. No judge wants to compromise his position as judge. So they are doing it now, to feel their way through it all without hurting themselves.
Trump is now 'MORE likely to beat Biden' after Colorado ruling:

A bombshell ruling by Colorado to remove Donald Trump from the state's primary election ballot will be 'rocket fuel' for his chances of winning the White House in a 2024 rematch against Joe Biden, pollsters and pundits predict.
The former president's son Eric Trump also claimed the Colorado Supreme Court's decision will increase his father's frontrunner status in the Republican primary race by at least 5 percent.
It came after a Tuesday night ruling by the state's highest court that Trump violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment - the Constitution's so-called 'insurrection clause'.
The 4-3 decision from Democratic-appointed justices was that Trump engaged in an insurrection on January 6 , 2021 and therefore disqualified himself from running for public office.
It is the first time in history that the insurrection clause has been used to prevent a presidential candidate from appearing on a state's presidential ballot.
But Trump's campaign plans to take the issue to the U.S. Supreme Court, where the break-down is six conservative justices to three liberal justices. Three of the sitting justices were appointed by Trump.
High-profile pollster and political consultant Frank Luntz said in an interview Tuesday that the Colorado ruling will have 'the same impact as his 91 indictments,' which saw Trump's poll numbers jump.
'Trump is now even more likely to beat Biden,' he predicted in the interview.
Trump is facing felony charges in New York, Washington, D.C., Florida and Georgia related to election interference, mishandling of classified documents and hush money payments.
