Great news for spreading info about BTC!

https://cointelegraph.com/news/premier-leagues-watford-fc-puts-bitcoin-logo-on-kit-accepts-btc

Now when the logo will be shown, more and more people will know about it.

Bitcoin will be exposed to all over the world because bitcoin is getting popular. Its a token having a great price of all. It really attracts to the investors and some rich people to invest in. Because once we found out theres a lot of sites here to make our capital become a big money .High volatility gives us to best profit to earn money. It really helps to many people so it will be exposed soon to all over the world.
Of course it will, everything that is positive will have an impact on adoption. moreover it concerns the increasing number of retailers who add bitcoin as their payment method. of course bitcoin popularity skyrocketed after that. especially who is adopted it is releated to premiere league class is seen by people all over the world, of course there will be millions of users ready to come to Bitcon

It was nice seeing bitcoin logo in Premier League's Watford FC for awareness. Those audience  whose not aware about bitcoin will give them a quick idea what is bitcoin. But with adoption? I doubt it. There will be an adoption when majority will use and patronize bitcoin itself. Not just with the logo but the application of that logo is more significant.

Anyway, thumbs up to the Football club who think of this great idea to spread bitcoin awareness. Hope this will not be the first and the last but a continuous action in every game.

Wow, accepting Bitcoin logo is a great deal, it will help to publicize Bitcoin to the world, football being one of the most attractive medium of publicity, even some other clubs may adopt it for payment either, but may not want to use it as their symbol since it is already adopted by one.

No doubt it should create a good impact on bitcoin adaption but currently it is not happening. You know that bakkt was one of the major event for the bitcoin and right at the moment the bitcoin started to dump instead of moving up. Nothing is certain in the bitcoin and crypto world.

I got bitcoin logo appear on watford footbal club in primer league, I think is the best advertising for bitcoin at the future know by every one in the world and could make price is higher.

Things like that happened before. Politicians accepting bitcoin donations, politicians saying they are holders, countries offering 0% tax on Bitcoin. A sports team wearing bitcoin sign is also great but it's a matter of time before more companies sports teams and influencers do it. Adoption is increasing with every day.

It is one step towards mass adoption Cheesy.

Within this year, more and more establishments are accepting Bitcoin and some are advertising it. Compare to last year, there are more people who are advertising and introducing it to the public. Well I know that this will increase in the succeeding years.
This is what we really need to expose Bitcoin in the public to increase adoption. Some people are still in doubt about of using Bitcoin because they receive the wrong information from the news telling that this is just another scam. This is the reason why adoption of Bitcoin is slowing down in some countries but if someone could prove it to them on how useful it is, they might change their mind.

In the 90ies, Microsoft attempted to lead people to their "better" (centralized) network, it didn't work. Few remember its name: MSN, yes THAT MSN. But the public went for Internet instead, and that was yet another of their failures (thankfully).
IBM tried the same, but similarly, failed hard. In this case I don't really think it was a matter of centralization that everyone disliked, but more so the effect of competing corporations and the market effect. There is much more to gain for these corporations to have the internet be open/distributed rather than trap surfers in a limited closed network.

MSN was to Internet, what any centralized altcoin is to Bitcoin. And take a look at the actors involved, their similarity isn't coincidence...
Libra would be a better indication even though it hasn't launched yet. Altcoins that people consider centralized haven't *yet* censored people's transactions. They all go through without a problem. Libra is designed to exclude certain countries and people they don't want on their network.

Yes, but the problem with these, is that they can. Same reason why things like undoing the blockchain (done by ETH) is so harmful. They have the power to selectively decide who gets to transact and who doesn't. So its restoring the manipulation States have over fiat.

Libra is under US jurisdiction, if it survives, it will have to bend to whatever rules they impose to it, such as forbidding transactions to/from my country. And if some are found, they would have to "reverse" them like a bank. Exactly the reason why they are so worthless.

Of course MSN wasn't the only one attempting "a better internet", i remember some others, but its all ancient history tho it felt funny back then (and i hated the idea back then as well). Same way some fools today promote "a better Bitcoin"...

I just found this out.  And whatever the conditions, I personally believe.  Although it might not have an extraordinary impact.  At the very least, this can provide awareness to the public about bitcoin.  And sooner or later, it will add to the popularity of bitcoin
This could helps for those who doesn’t know about bitcoin and of course an added awareness since some do not have an idea about crypto. It is really great that bitcoin is growing these days. So we hopefully see more events or adoption of btc so that others could be aware the use and advantages of bitcoin.

Although it might not have an extraordinary impact.  At the very least, this can provide awareness to the public about bitcoin.

when people are aware they will curious to try it , thats the time that it will give an imapact on the price of bitcoin

I was able to catch up with the match during the second half of it, I must say I was really amazed and pleased to see btc logo in full display to the entire world,  that ethihada stadium was filled with different fans of football and all of them could see the btc logo going up and down the pitch,
I never thought it will happen so suddenly but it did, hats off to Watford for taking the first step even though the result of the match was not so nice Grin

as a bitcoin owner and hodler , we are proud to see such events like that because we always wanted bitcoin to be promoted on public and it was only a mere dream before but look at it now its now happening in reality .

the result of the match does not matter to me at all but what important is that people will be more familliar to bitcoin after seeing those bitcoin logo's    . i hope this was not the last  .  i wish they will put a logo of bitcoin on other live events like on nba  or on the olympics event so that it can even get a maximum exposure worldwide .

Yes, this public awareness campaign about bitcoin will be a successful one and also Watford Football club will gain major attention on doing this. We already have Libra coin coming through facebook and Bakkt platform to start its services. It seems that cyrpto will soon be adopted by everyone and everywhere.

This will become more the norm as we progress more and more to mass adoption etc. There will be more sponsorships happening and advertising across major sports and entertainment events. I believe mass adoption towards Bitcoin and ofcoirse cryptos, in general, will come through marketing to entertainment portals, as we see large crowds and crowds especially of a younger demographic congregate to these various outlets. We may eventually find also ads creeping their way through television as well, where older baby boomers will also be targeted with that extra disposable income at hand to spend. It will become more prevalent in our lives as we move along to the whole world acknowledging this decentralized phenomenon taking over the planet, slowly but surely. It will b interesting to see where we will see next some major exposure surrounding Bitcoin.

What Sportsbet.io has done is truly appreciable. They've done it in the right way to give exposure to common people about bitcoin. Different ways of marketing is done to promote the bitcoin acceptance on different services. Here, this is much more effective than the common ways of promotion. Also it'll reach a large user base as it is done through one of the popular soccer tournament.

It is natural that crypto startups with BET themes can do promotions like this, and also they often hook sports partners because the majority of people must have a hobby there. This is very rare, especially if crypto companies only want to make exchange products

It may be old news to some but I am just seeing  this for the first time and as a football fan plus a crypto enthusiast, this is certainly a pleasant news if it will be effected eventually, because saying  it is one thing and putting  it into action  is another thing, I sincerely wish this will take effect because crypto needs it.
We certainly have many football enthusiast like you out there that has never even heard of cryptocurrency, and you know that most fans likes to know every details of the jersey that the football team do wear, and another good thing about that is that, there are some artist that do make and sell some of these jerseys in their country, and they will definitely want to Put the bitcoin logo on the shirt also has they have it there, which means that many people would definitely also Know about bitcoin when they are buying the jersey from their market.

This is a very bold step that this team made and i am sure that if satoshi was still alive (lol), he would probably have appreciated them for the bold step that they took to showcase bitcoin to the world out there.

I think that the fact that only the Bitcoin logo appears is a great achievement, although the Soccer team has fared badly, but I am sure that Watford  has obtained many new fans, however, I hope to see the logo of Bitcoin in a Real Madrid or Barcelona, because the Bitcoin logo is worldwide.

Many people currently see the logo and those who do not know will wonder what it means and make them investigate, this is good, because many new investors who do not know the technology can join, this can reach business owners, people who maintain traditional investments such as In Real Estate, they can be interested and achieve market attraction.

I actually appreciate how much Bitcoin keeps moving despite the big challenge and struggles, and this it comes into possible because we give our support and we believe that Bitcoin can do better than of fiat. With this public exposure, not only it helps to promote its name and get popular but this is the way to enlighten the minds of the people out there who keep saying nega about crypto.

Bitcoin is designed to survive, similar to the original intention of the network that we nowdays call Internet but was designed as Arpanet to keep communications flowing in the event of a nuclear conflict.

Guess what is in the core design of it? Decentralization, no single point of failure.

In the 90ies, Microsoft attempted to lead people to their "better" (centralized) network, it didn't work. Few remember its name: MSN, yes THAT MSN. But the public went for Internet instead, and that was yet another of their failures (thankfully).

Now when the logo will be shown, more and more people will know about it.
I already saw some people wearing clothes with the bitcoin logo, sometimes walking in a mall, even my cousin has it. Maybe they also wanted to advertise bitcoin on their own.
What you have shown I think is already implemented, but it is really helpful indeed. Even I, I really wanted to have a shirt with a bitcoin logo on it. Maybe I can customize on my own. 😊
Not only that, I see that too in my local online store.
There are many t-shirts has offers on that site, and I see many people was interesting with the logo.
I think they got so many customers who already buy that t-shirt and I think that customers will search for the information about bitcoin.
That is a new way of promoting cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin to the public, and if they can reach the younger generation, I think that will help bitcoin to grow more.
I think some people are made a gathering in the cafe shop and talk about cryptocurrency, the market, and the project.
I already saw them shitting around with other people in the same cafe.
We need to build more activity like those people to introduce cryptocurrency to the public so they can know and learn about crypto.
If in many places many people do this, I am sure that cryptocurrency reaches more people.

Hats off to sportsbet.io who actually put the Bitcoin logo there, not their own logo or some ICO logo.

They are already doing good in this gambling business so what they are doing now is promoting the crypto community by using the Bitcoin logo.
A nice move from their end. Hope a lot more will follow.
If more and more platforms will do the same action, crypto adoption will grow faster.

This is one more step... all around BTC is entering our lives... German Bruger King, BTC ATM's and now football.
It is progress and one step ahead to the wide adoption of BTCitcoin and a big salute to Sportsbet for taking this to the sporting world and it will create awareness to the vast majority of sporting fans and introduce to BTCitcoin based gambling site and people will learn how to wage a bet with BTCitcoin as some of the countries are against fiat based online gambling and they might turn to BTCitcoin to wage without restrictions and that means they will be hooked to BTCitcoin once they start using it as they will understand the vast possibilities of this market.
In five years time the entire scenario changes and we will be in the trillion dollar market valuation Cool.

Perhaps this is a scenario for creating large-scale FOMO, as more and more people are approaching Bitcoin. By putting the Bitcoin logo on their shirts, they helped the Bitcoin community grow, reaching out to new people who didn't know about Bitcoin. I am very happy with this idea, and I believe this is a good sign for the Bitcoiner community.

Teams have started to make sponsorship agreements with cryptos and this a great news I think. These sponsorships provides big advantages for cryptocurrency industry. Thanks to these agreements, cryptocurrencies ( especially Bitcoin ) are spreading worldwide faster.
It is true I am glad to see this news, hopefully with the famous soccer sponsors in the English league it will bring higher bitcoin again and I feel that bitcoin prices are stable.

For me, the greatest news about Bitcoin and soccer appeared in 1998. That time the football Turkish player was bought for Bitcoins. The deal cost was...0.5 BTC. It was a shock, but then many things changed. In 2018 Lionel Andrés Messi advertised Bitcoin. Now, the logo of this cryptocurrency will appear on the sleeves of the players. Bitcoin has been popularized, and this is great news.

Now when the logo will be shown, more and more people will know about it.

I actually got this from Sportbet.io newsletter and its something deep down within that makes me glad and truth be told it is great movement from where bitcoin was to the point where it is now and most importantly, this no little achievement needs to be celebrated. For those who might feel that its being blown out of proportion then you might not have the full picture of what is being achieved on that day.

For one, it brings the highest publicity to the people that can really do something about it. Football they say unite a whole lot of people irrespective of their culture, race or background and the people watching goes beyond the people on the pitch but the millions spread across the world watching via cable and satellite distribution.

For it to be associated with a brand like Watford FC sends a message that its not always about illegality or some immoral things all the way but also can be used for something worthwhile that would have a lasting effect.

With this bold step from the club team, the world will start to see something good and positive about cryptocurrency, also, this will enable many who were deceived with negative preached from Bitcoin haters. Premier league as we know has more football enthusiasts whom among them are sport lovers. More exposure leads to more awareness, and yes, that is always good news. However, similar things have been done before, with questionable results. It seems like things like these serve more to get the crypto community excited than to actually attract new users to the crypto space. I could be wrong, of course.
No,  it actually attract more users and establishment owners to adopt crypto as well.  We accept the fact that not all the things that have done before it results good, some of them falls into the negative effect of the market.  But we are actually making it right in order to justify how good is  Bitcoin and it helps us. Bitcoin isn't bold to see its goodness but for us who have been involve into bitcoin's development we could see its role in the community and it has proven several times.

Binance CEO CZ appreciates what sportsbet.io did too. This is the kind of things that will help make BTC stand out that people will realize this isn't actually a scam unlike what the media has been telling. I wonder how much were being spent for this  by sportsbet. The company must be really rich, they were spending a lot in marketing and they do have a long running BTC campaign in the forum.

Satoshi being anonymous had made bitcoin very successful because we know that no one is controlling it and no one can ever control bitcoin. I think that is the very essence of decentralization wherein bitcoin can stand on it’s one without someone really controlling it and that it is immune to any government intervention.
If Satoshi comes out then I guess the thought of being decentralize will be gone and people views on bitcoin and the price movement will depend on its creator. For me, bitcoin is way better with Satoshi remained anonymous.

The same case for me, Football is one of the famous games in the world.
It really gives much exposure now and attracts some new investors.
I think if this going to be a good many Altcoins will follow its footsteps to advertise on the football fields.

Yeah almost all football fans watch premier league even though we have different choices in the clubs we support, but still  this is a huge opportunity for crypto to really be in the public light, imagine if other big clubs decide to  do the same thing some day in near future  Shocked

This is quite old news, visit the sportsbet.io ANN thread --> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-proud-partner-of-southampton-fc-1458034

IIRC, this has been announced a month or two already.
Yeah I remembered when this news was announced some month's back and I could remember then the price of bitcoin was dropping drastically and at the same time bad news and FUDS around.

This news has dominated the market scene in the last week or so.

And yes, I agree that it would really create a lot of positive publicity and awareness to BTC. Although is is growing by the day, this kind of promotion will really take BTC on the next level.

There are other sports personalities as well that said they want their salary to be in crypto, those guys are forward thinkers, because they know that in the next coming years, the price could really go up and it's going to be a win-win for them.

Great news for spreading info about BTC!

https://cointelegraph.com/news/premier-leagues-watford-fc-puts-bitcoin-logo-on-kit-accepts-btc

Now when the logo will be shown, more and more people will know about it.
This is indeed a very big public awareness campaign from subjects like this, and it really shows that bitcoin is growing more than what we are seeing and in the outside world, it is really being put into practice.

Imagine that other clubs join them and they are all accepting cryptocurrency, and when it comes to football, it has lots of fans and most of them would do anything to buy those tickets using bitcoin, we don’t even need them to be an holder, they should leave the holding business for us lol, but they need to be using bitcoin like the way they use fiat, this will surely create high demands for bitcoin every time there is need to watch football and every time there is need for the ticket to do so needs to be purchase, I think this is really another step forward.

This can, of course, help Bitcoin to gain more interest from the people as this can be a big exposure. Though we should not expect that this can be sort of like a magic wand. Building a brand that people can trust can take some time and in many cases big businesses utilized millions of dollars just to advertise their names to the masses. We can only hope that more and more will sponsor to have the name Bitcoin plastered in events sports or entertainment.
