What about Japanese? someone know the situation in Japan?

No need to question Japan as they have already filled the void that China left. I have friends in Japan and all that they can say is that a lot of store has been accepting bitcoin as payment option so they are moving a step forward but countries like China is taking a step back. If there are big news coming from China I think it will really bring good impact to the ecosystem. However, we still didn't forget what they did earlier. So I guess its gonna be a mix emotions once they go and enter bitcoin market again.

it is a great news! By the way, before or after, china MUST enter in this market and legalize ALL. No doubts about that.

The situation over there equals the rest of the world, no need to get back on USDT Tether to trick around local legislations. Chinese fintech startups mostly lack connections.
Exchangers like Quoine are connected to a more crypto friendly banking environment. "Would Switzerland bann bitcoin" comes close to that, of course "No".
Co-founder of that tradeside has been Senior Vice President at SoftBank Group, former Senior Director at Globespan Capital Partners, a venture capital fund.

You're welcome, bro.

I think you can visit ViaBTC and check their exchange. You may have to register there and find out for yourself anyway. I've never been there myself so I don't know if they provide an English interface to the exchange and whether they have a trollbox, but if they do and have, you can easily find out if you are really interested in this question. Let us know if you find something worthy of mentioning here. Have a nice day!

I checked out their exchange and it's disturbing since I'm not a Chinese and never understand their characters. But as I use google translate their top announcement it's a farewell to all of their users. And I can't find some other links that is redirecting their customers to some of their news so I guess it's a goodbye for real with viabtc. But still it's early to assume as there are some exchange that expressed their back in operation so this is also possible for them.

Well, things seem to be getting interesting with ViaBTC. Maybe, this farewell you have found is actually intended for the Chinese government, and they are in fact going to restart their operation elsewhere. Anyway, this exchange was set up specifically to trade bitcoin cash when it had been launched by ViaBTC in early August. It is the bitcoin mining pool which makes up ViaBTC, not its exchange. Right now when bitcoin cash is being traded at Bitfinex and Poloniex and likely at other major exchanges, they might after all have decided to shut down the exchange completely.

I think that this proves that no country can stop bitcoin from growing as it is an international currency and if you don't take its advantage others will use it and go forward so one should try to understand the importance of bitcoin and its use in thee future. China understood that bitcoin is a very bit industry in  there country and there are many advantages to there people from it ass china has most number of bitcoin users.

Bitcoin cannot be stopped from  growing as it is a peoples choice and it gives most  of the people a good return and now bitcoin will be promoted by many other countries.

Big news from china

https://www.huobi.pro/zh-cn/notice_detail/?id=651. Huobi, one of the biggest crypto exchange in China, will resume its operation at 12:00, 26th, October (China Time)

We are excited to announce that Huobi Pro will support Tether(USDT) trading pairs. USDT deposit and withdrawal is available from 18:00 October 24th,2017(GMT+8). And BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT trading will start at 12:00 October 26th,2017(GMT+8).

I knew it that they will come back again with their operations. I thought they will migrate to nearby countries and will continue it's operation that way. Anything that goes for this type of business there's no one that can stop it even the Chinese government when same interests are applied for the company and also for the Chinese government. Other exchanges will be wild again and will announce the same thing. And now, let's expect bitcoin's price up to the moon again.

If my memory serves me right, ViaBTC was going to move their exchange operations to Hong-Kong, though I don't know if they actually moved there or, if not, whether they are still going to change the country of their business. Does anyone know what's become of that? At large, the politics and decisions of the Chinese authorities seem to be very unpredictable and controversial, mildly speaking. But as I said before, they influence Bitcoin less and less each time the Chinese government comes up with something new.

I don't have also any news about their migration to Hongkong. But I guess there's no need to do it so because there's an indication now that they can now start operating again with any Chinese region. We can't really get any reliable source on what's happening to China and it's businesses regarding bitcoin and to be specific with their exchanges. I'm only waiting now for any cryptonews website to publish an article regarding this comeback from China.

You can read about their former plans here and here. The synopsis can be written as following:

Quote
ViaBTC Intends to Launch an Overseas-Based Bitcoin Exchange After Ceasing Chinese Operations on September 30th. Chinese cryptocurrency exchange ViaBTC has announced its intention to launch a trading platform based outside of China. The decision to establish an overseas-based platform follows announcements that the exchange will shut down operations in mainland China on September 30th. ViaBTC has revealed plans to launch a cryptocurrency exchange platform outside of mainland China.

If they were really planning to launch their trading business somewhere outside of China, for example, in Taiwan, as some people on reddit suggested, it doesn't make much sense to stay in China any more. Today the Chinese authorities may allow cryptocurrency trading only to change their mind again tomorrow. Though I certainly agree with your note that we can't know for certain what is going on in China with respect to bitcoin and bitcoin exchanges there

They have to do it if they can sense that there are some future troubles that's about to happen in China. And they must make this initiative of doing it so and most of the links that you've given are still discussions from people who mostly are not living on China but if someone who lives on China will share on what's really happening there then it will us some delight.

Anyway thanks for the link mate I appreciated it.

I am not from China so I do not use sites from that country. But i can say that China play big role in Bitcoin world. Bitcoin price and market are connected to China, because there are a lot of users and miners in it. We all know what happened to market and Bitcoin price when China announced that they will ban Bitcoin local and ICO. So I guess that this is good news for cryptocurrency world.

No it is not. you have been fooled by the op. read this:

"Big News From China" is spreading false information, Exchangers are banned !
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/big-news-from-china-is-spreading-false-information-exchangers-are-banned-2320265
Well my information is different it’s true that china banned bitcoin but I know my friends who are from china they are using bitcoins and in some part of china is working easily actually china people want bitcoin to use it for trade and they think china fell regret on his decision hope china will allow bitcoin in his country.

haha, where are all the idiots who kept repeating China banned bitcoin, banned trading, banned .... now?
Chinese government is weird and the news coming out of them are even weirder but it has never been like what they spread in their FUDs. and worst part is the FUD is not new. it keeps being repeated the same way as ever! you can find exact same news saying "China banned bitcoin" dating back to at least 2013. there are even topics here saying this which were started back in 2013!

I have to agree with you. These fudsters have been running this vehicle since the beginning of days, and bitcoin has been hitting new highs every time their FUD subsided a bit. It is interesting that they play the same tune over and over again, and it still works somehow. It seems people can't get used to their bluff and perpetual lies. This year alone they have started the FUD machine at least three times, while bitcoin made it like 6x. Meh, I think they should have run it more often.
Let us just consider all these fudsters an opportunity maker for us to gather bitcoin as well as other traders thinking. Pretty much sure that these FUDsters fueled by whales.
You can see how they spread across the forums just for giving an information about bad news, if it's not fueled by whales, it's someone who owns a big amounts of money and trying to buy bitcoin eitherway.

I never thought that China will ban bitcoin, that were just rumors. From beginning I were saying that Chinese are making a lot of money from crypto currencies there weren't a chance that they will quit just like that from all that fortune.
Todaybon cointelegraph article from Alex Gap with title Chinese might be able to trade bitcoin again soon. What happened is that on some of their national communistic congress temporary regulations and policies are cancelled, and trading with bitcoin might be one of them. What is interesting for me was the end of article where is explained how offline trading is now popular in China and how they do it. I knew that they will find a way to continue with their business with bitcoins and they did.

The rumors have surfaced that the recent bitcoin "ban" in China was mainly due to intraparty struggles inside the communist party of China before the National Congress of the CPC, which ended about a week ago. Now when it is over, the "ban" could be lifted and trading allowed again, though that could depend on which "clan" has won. If the pro-ban clan won, the ban will likely remain in place or could become even worse.

Well from what everybody else expected like China will get back to business again and like anything didn't happen.
China's FUD  recently are just all showed up and act, they spread the fuds and take advantage of panic selling to buy in more cheap and dump price bitcoin that they'll use for their own exchange and it seems all the plans are getting smoothly that's why now their opening their own exchange that can give them a lot of profit.

I don't really like any news that comes out of China, they never are good or even if they're it does no good there's always a ulterior motive, now that this exchange is back, more people shall start trading there again, and I don't personally like China getting any share of the Bitcoin market, they always mess it up and they mess it up bad, I would advise all to take this news with a pinch of salt, and be prepared they will mess it up.

Even Though China able use bitcoin once again but it's doesn't affect too much on bitcoin value globally.
As we known current global market are being hold by South Korea and Japan.

Overall I can see uptrend and stable because the demand on bitcoin getting greater

so china will continue supporting bitcoin like other asian and this will make bitcoin more stronger than before. you are right, i see the price is trying to break the high price but we need to watching more because it will not easy to break the high price again since many people don't want to be late to buy bitcoin. and with china again, i think many big whales from china will trying to support the price to increase and if they want to buy bitcoin, then they can dump the price for a while and after that they can pump the price again.

This is a great news for all of us, I guess I will already expecting now much higher on December, I guess by the end of the year bitcoin price will pump high and we will gain profit from our bitcoin wallets. I am happy that China continue to support Crypto-currencies now and I guess alt coins are also good now to buy since a lot of investor now are opening their door from it.

What a surprise!!! Not. This was to be expected, and to be honest, I find this to be fitting more in the bad news category. It was nice for once to not have China be part of the market, and now they slowly make a come back, regardless of the form, it's pure shit. The market has shown to be perfectly fine without Chinese exchanges being around, and for that reason, I would have liked them to stay away at least till next year, but it is what it is. I just hope that people for once take distance from that country, because they contribute to nothing but problems due to their paranoid government. I already wonder what they are going to pull once the market reaches another all time high in the coming weeks/months. Roll Eyes
This is something I agree, this is not a surprise but it seems that lately the only thing that comes from China are nothing but bad news, FUD and speculation with the purpose to crash the price of bitcoin, this is why I’m getting tired of all the attention people keep giving to China.

I thought, since the news circulated that china ban cryptocurrency and managed to knock down the bitcoin price by more than $ 1000, then it was they

who were smiling. They can see their strength or influence for this technology. And now, they come back after the bitcoin is at its peak.though Its not

surprising. But I'm just wondering if they are behind the bitcoin price hike.

no one is coming back, you have been fooled.

We sure can know what is going on in China, exchangers are banned, this simple. want to know about more? read it: "Big News From China" is spreading false information, Exchangers are banned !

Though I certainly agree with your note that we can't know for certain what is going on in China with respect to bitcoin and bitcoin exchanges there.

No it is not. you have been fooled by the op. read this:

Huge news here.

After the shut down of BTCChina i think that the Chinese buyers are still a bit shell shocked and to see one of the most popular exchanges in China to open up again must be a relief for them. With this relief will come more bitcoin buyers for sure.

Do not estimate the power of Chinese buyers, when huobi is back price could easily rise by $1k.

It doesn't changed the fact that eventhough is going back to its operation, there will be no BTC/CNY because the Chinese government says no already. So there's no development here. And I don't think it can greatly impact the price today. We have been moving already without them so let it be. I think they have made their decision to ban bitcoin or at least regulate it. They felt threaten by it (Yuan), that's why they made a sudden U-turn against bitcoin and crypto's.

They can't really control bitcoin and their citizens although enjoying the benefits of having bitcoin with them, have no choice but to follow the government's details. And again, they are  the victims here not, the market, not the ecosystem, but them who learn to love bitcoin but was crashed with the government decided against it.

That's what i was expecting after the ban over the cryptocurrencies by china few days back. China failed to defeat the cryptos, they have now realized that they have made a big mistake. Now bitcoin and cryptos are  ready to achieve new heights of success.
china is always making new innovations in the form of digital currency other than bitcoin, they hope that the population switch to digital currency that will be created by the country it, therefore there is a regulation limiting the use of digital currency in the form of bitcoin, but unfortunately it is not affect the price of bitcoin in the market will weaken, but instead after the ban made by the state of China about the use of bitcoin, bitcoin prices are increasing because the largest exchange of bitcoin not only in China, but there are other countries that have a larger exchange exchanges of china .

Roll Eyes

I fully agree with you and as far as China is concerned we have the same assessment. I am based in Asia too and though China is now known here as a helpful and generous government we know that deep inside it has its own agenda of controlling a big part of the world whatever it takes.

The Bitcoin community can be better if the China market is not open for cryptocurrency anymore. We have seen how resilient Bitcoin has become after all the bad news that slowly trickled into the market last month. And though it can prop up the market, the long-term effect may not always be that good because the Chinese government has a different mindset and they feel that they can do anything they want even just whispering words to the concerns (no law needed in many cases).

It should be noted though that even if Bitcoin exchanges were closed in China, the money still find its way to Bitcoin as many of them just shifted to Hong Kong. let us just hope that this time around China will not be anymore the big source of many big headaches and problems. They should behave well otherwise it would be us who will kick them out.

There is no BTC/CNY because nothing has changed about the situation. China-based exchanges are still in wind-down mode if they haven't shut down already. Domestic order book exchanges are prohibited (at least until a licensing regime emerges -- unconfirmed).

The .pro is not based in China. It's a Hong Kong exchange (like Bitfinex is or once was). OKEX (Okcoin's international exchange) and BTCC similarly are Hong Kong companies. They can't easily interface with CNY -- at least not openly and transparently.

That they are accepting USDT means they are pretty desperate for trading fees amidst the crackdown.

I think huobi will now also allow international traders to trade with them, what is the legal status of bitcoin and bitcoin trading in Hong Kong?

Chinese still can't put their money in bitcoin because there is no any trading platform that have btc-cny pair.

It's a great news for Chinese that once again crypto activities are going to be started there in their country. I am not saying that not a good news for the others but truly I am not excited about this news. This was known that China will jump again into the crypto world but this sooner was not expected.
I am happy for one thing that now China has got a clear message that crypto and bitcoin don't need China to support it but China need it for their economy.

this is good news, i think the exchanges from china had finally made an agreement with their government, i think one by one, the exchanges will open up, and again will come back in the crypto market,  there is still a chance that only one exchange will be permitted by the chinese government or there will be a limit in the exchanges, but with this news, bitcoin is back in china again, and hopefully there will be no more scare in china, since they were the reason the price had dropped a few weeks ago. let's also not forget that the world is watching china's every movement, not just by their military but with their investments as well, i have read an article that china wanted to their fiat as petrocurrency,i think when it comes to bitcoin, since they cannot copy it, they might make a cryptocoin of their own as well, just like what japan did, and i think their cryptocoin, may have a chance against bitcoin, considering their bitcoin users,  but over all, this is good news, and hopefully, china will promote their exchanges as well, thus promoting bitcoin, and soon other countries who still doubt bitcoin, might change their mind, since china is always changing its mind.

I don't know if it was connected or the reason why price goes up and doing fine again. We're back at less than $6k again. With or without China, we are good but of course the more, the merrier. With this news, $7k-$10k is likely possible before the end of this year.

I have learned a valuable lesson this time, don’t rely on news when it comes to bitcoin. Because even news and rumors are prone for corrections and like bitcoin price it can change as fast as it goes. This will be a hard and regrettable reason to those who sold they’re bitcoin @2800$ with this news. It’s a pain to they’re investments.

We saw a rise after China banned bitcoin .Do with the return of China will see the dump or correction of bitcoin at 2000 usd for example?

China might have most of the coin as of now that is why when they were banned from trading outside their country the price went up. Which may mean once they join the trading again price might go down. but I doubt that it will be anytime soon. Maybe they will be allowed to trade again when the price reach $15000 mark. Do the math if what will it make for their country.

Okay, this thread have been called "https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/big-news-from-china-is-spreading-false-information-exchangers-are-banned-2320265" as spreading fake news and Some of here are right and i am also right to tagged this news as a suspicious move from China, Read the thread guys.
Huobi is banned in China. No exchange of BTC / CNY Legal Tender (bank wire, third party payment etc) is allowed to operate in China.

The current running exchanges e.g. okcoin, huobi, btcchina etc are all going to close down this month before the final limit date given by the government.

Those Chinese exchanges can register abroad e.g. in Hongkong, Singapore, Japan, Virgin Islands or whatever low tax lite regulation countries, and running with BTC / NON-CNY currency pair. the case in the post "Big News From China", huobi.com registered abroad with a new domain huobi.pro, running with btc / usd tether to bypass China gov's ban. it has nothing to do with China.

Will it work? may be, may be not. For how long is a question.
usd tether is just like btc-e code or Liberty Reserve waiting to be cracked down by the US Authority.
The whole fake foreign but real Chinese companies like huobi.pro or okcoin.com etc are all operating in China, maybe even by the same group of people in the same office and the same room. China gov surely can raid them over night.

US gov already showed us this with btc-e, which its even worse that they hunted the russian admin down in Greece. compare to this, China has prefect authority.

In conclusion, exchange of bitcoin or any crypto for fiat or reverse is banned in China. stop spreading false information.

Good news even if expected. It could ease some people’s concerns and allow the price of Bitcoin to rise as new investors join in. Anytime there is positive news about Bitcoin it tends to make the price spike up some. It should also benefit any altcoins that this exchange provides. China is apparently not out of the Bitcoins business at least for a while.

I`m unsure of the news you are carrying, all we know china behavior at the end of september 2017, China has forcibly shut down BTCC which is the second biggest Bitcoin market in China, after its action then cunningly China launched altcoin their own product, this incident make eye I`m open and aware, "maybe in that way also china dominate world market".

You are being fooled by this false information. China banned exchange and nothing has been changed.

"Big News From China" is spreading false information: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/big-news-from-china-is-spreading-false-information-exchangers-are-banned-2320265

Lol you"re such a troll  Grin Actually we knew all the time that there is no definitive "ban" and that "ban" means some regulation, some ground rules and legal definitions. That actually is better for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the long term.  Anyway even if there is a real ban China is not so relevant anymore.

I really think that China's ban on trading the coin outside their country is for them to hoard a
vast amount of it and eventually release it once the price is too high.

China never ban mining on their country which means that they are having more and more coin
without having it traded to other countries. This might be a fake news but China will soon be
back on the trading.

I am surprise such news come out before 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China ends. Might be totally invalid announcement.  We need to understand what 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is. It happens only every 5 years and on congress Communist party put out plan for next decades. Usually they also announce who will be China president 5 years from now. So whatever happen before the end of congress is just bla bla bla.

That's what I thought also. Anyone who sold recently is about to get a history lesson on fake Chinese ban news. This is not the first time and, since it worked again, it will not be the last.

I understand what you mean.  However, hopefully the market will keep in mind what happened with all of the recent China problems: after a couple of weeks it shrugged them off and kept going.  If and when this happens again with China, hopefully it will have little impact on price.  And even if it does, it will be another good buying opportunity as the market has already proven that China is no longer an essential participant.

CHINA is going to step back from their ban on cryptocurrencies exchanges.

Huobi is an exchange that is up to the rules, if they resume operates, OKCoin and other chinese exchanges are expected to follow up.
I really hope that we will see an official update from the chinese government about the trading ban, it could impact the bitcoin price positively.

That was a good news, i am expecting huge increase in bitcoin value because more people in china will start to invest in crypto currency again and the higher demand will reflect on value. We all know what happen last few month since china start to closed some of exchanged we experience huge dump and hoping this step from china would be a tool to make bitcoin or whole cryto currency world would be more stable and more countries start to adopt digital currency and will be part of world currency.

What a suspicious and surprising news. For me, This is bad this not what I've wanted, I want china to be out on cryptocurrency, their government is a control freak when it comes to money. They are also bullying other countries (specially the Philippines). This is really a suspicious move from China. I am certain that they have hidden agenda.

That’s expected after they failed big after the backlash last September. They don’t have a choice now more than ever but to take bitcoin lightly or the bitcoin community will loss any left confidence to them.

China after this news will make a new suicidal attempt to control or regulate but will fail again and again. I hope they understand that scared tactic to bitcoin community is never be effective for a reason we’re immune to risk.

China thought they can control the market by banning these exchanges, Anyway, Welcome back again China.  Don't fud up again. Maybe we should not be surprised if these exchanges will close their operations once again because of China's freaky Government. If these Exchanges will be closed because Bitcoin hit another milestone, then it is confirmed that China is just buying bitcoins at a lower price.

That's really a good news for the entire digital currency community and in specific Chinese users were gonna get benefited big through the same. The service got paused when the People's Bank of China made an inspection over the entire exchanges functioning within China. Now once again this seems to be a regulated functioning.

This is a predictable thing. the Chinese state just did a surprise last month, they scared all of us and tried to ban Bitcoin. however, in the end the Chinese state began to show their desires. I think the Chinese country has succeeded in making the world market go awry, it looks like they bought a lot of bitcoin when last month bitcoin price decreased and now they start coming back in hopes bitcoin price could be higher. for me this is a conspiracy, true or not but it's like it has become a very well-coordinated thing.

Maybe they want to impose there own currency by that time but they failed and cameback with the crypto's, And all of us should celebrate this china events since we might gonna see a good future comes since the biggest crypto contributor came back to stake and surely the crypto market will came more alive by this time.

Nice to hear that some Chinese exchanges are actually resuming operations and their future isn't in total uncertainty anymore. This means that people in general will be more optimistic about bicoin's future and bump up teh price.

Especially Chinese investors, they will feel a lot less pressured to sell their bag as well.

This should be reflected in btc's price rises, i believe that we'll break $6k soon.

But we should always look for an opportunity to make a profit, right? And this was an excellent one when bitcoin price went down to below 4000$ on the rumors of the Chinese authorities shutting down exchanges as well as banning bitcoin in China. You likely know that China is ultimately irrelevant since early 2017 when they had started attacking local exchanges but without much success. I mean with respect to Bitcoin price. Bitcoin went even higher since then but people still somehow believe that China matters a lot. So why not make use of this confusion and delusion on the part of the general public? If people want to believe in bullshit, they will have to pay for their ignorance with their own money. What's wrong with that?

For some good, for other bad news, but there was news that something like this is happen sooner or later.Chinese authorities have obviously done they work in the area of regulation exchanges and now the Chinese will slowly return to the game. Some will say it would be better without them and I can agree with that, they created many problems for BTC in past and it is very possible that this will be the case in the future.

I do not think there was any question at all that the Chinese completely retreat from BTC,money is still in the first place for every government. Will the return of the Chinese exchanges affect the price? The answer is probably yes, after fork we should have crazy driving up.

Interesting decision in using USDT now.  Will they be offering a Tether CNY trading pair as well?  I think the exchanges have found legal advice, and now already know that the PBOC can't touch them if they don't use any fiat currencies in trading.

But what of their banking options?  Are CNY or USD deposits still allowed?  Do they still have their banking partners intact?

This is really good news and I hope others exchangers that has closed business all this while will resume business. Another question that I will like to ask is that, has Chinese regulations authority unbanned cryptocurrencies exchange activities or only btcc was affected? I think this is another opportunities to buy the deep as if this news get to the ear of some investors, fund will be seriously pump in to the market from china.
