Your luck is still good, I bought 50 BTC in 2013 and then sold it in 2015. If I could predict and be patient until 2021 then I would be rich. Sad and happy is actually a thin difference. Keep spirit to be the number one rich person in your city.
We didn’t know what’s the future of cryptocurrency before and that’s why many sold to have a small profit and that’s fine because you did what you have to but now that we already know Bitcoin, we can still have the chance to buy and hold depends on your strategy.

Don’t feel any regrets if you miss a chance, know that in cryptocurrency there is always an opportunity to buy and sell, just monitor the market if you’re not busy and just buy more if you see a great timing. Hold can also be your option with the good coins.

I havnt been paying attention to the price of my crypto due to school, and other stuff going on. A month ago I turned 2/3 of my cardano into bitcoin. I looked today to check my gains/losses. I would have doubled my investment if I kept my cardano. I am not gonna let it get to me, but it could have been pretty cool if I held it. hats off to the people that have the patience to hold coins going nowhere for a while.
Just move on and accept those missed opportunities but doesnt mean that you would stop on taking these kind of chances. You could always start from the beginning since this market is a never ending one.

Lots of potential and could possibly last into the future which you could still make out your position or consider on buying out potential coins.Yes, ADA is good but there are still several projects

which are really worth to invest on.Stick with top 10 but you should put up into your mind that it was never an assurance that you'll guarantee make profits but somewhat you could have the  chance.

hello my friend, I appreciate you too Smiley because cryptocurrencies make long-term investments. For example, everyone is talking about BNB right now. XRP is being talked about. You will be ambushed by taking these kind of strong and currently low value cryptos, piece by piece. forget that investment for at least 1 year. maybe 2 years. the right analysis and the right amount of investment will fly you to the moon. Every trader has the same goal when investing in cryptocurrency, Buy when price are low and sell when price is high.
But until now no one has been able to accurately predict the price of cryptocurrency, and it is even more difficult to provide long-term forecast. Every trader will regret knowing that the price of coin has increased dramatically after they made a sale, but if they think more realistically, actually they have made the right decision, because they have got the advantage.
Whatever happened in the past, you can never do again in the present, because you have to spend $62,155 to get 1 Bitcoin.

you don't need to be sad, because we will never get the maximum profit in cryptocurrency, so be grateful for the profit that you get (not everyone can get profit), because if we can guess the state of cryptocurrencies in the future (which altcoin will go up and which will go down), then of course we can become rich quickly without having to work hard Grin.

Decisions like these will really vary because not all would really be having same mindset when it comes to their investment decisions because we would always go for securing profits once we do have able to see
some opportunity.

Getting sad is normal because we dont like to miss bigger profits if we do able to held up a little bit longer but due to some circumstances then we do make out decisions but im seeing this
for not to be bad since you are converting back to bitcoin as you do mean you will be holding it.

Dont be sad and just be grateful because profit is a profit.

hats off to the people that have the patience to hold coins going nowhere for a while.
Patience is very important in crypto, if you buy a token and hold it for some time, then you will probably make a profit. volatility is nothing for the long term holder

Since you have converted your ada into bitcoin so, you should hold for a long time so that you get maximum profit
Cardano is a potential altcoin but nothing would beat bitcoin so its definitely not a bad choice dude. The profits you expect from an altcoin will be even doubled or tripled when you reap profits from bitcoin so you have nothing to worry about. But maybe by next time, be more patient so you will not see yourself into a losing end because you miss an opportunity to make profits.

Have your own plan and focus on it. Even if the market suddenly crash, never go sideways just stick to what your plan. Because when you change plans along the way, that will mostly make you lose in the end like most of the traders had happened.

That's why focus is really important when you are investing, however, you should still be thankful if you made a profit selling 2/3 of your investment. Just remember that although Cardano's price is very high now, there's still an opportunity to buy it when the price will dip which I'm sure will certainly happen in the future.
The op does not need to rush or complain about not getting the maximum profits he would have gotten if he had keep his cardano which is normal as an investor to fall prey to market turbulent which are means of getting sellers who would rather sell there coin than to hold it because of fall of loses.

The market does not move in a straight line or in an upward direction without coming back to retrace. Retracement is necessary in every market conditions when the price is in an upward trend or downward trend, retracement must surely occur. We don't need to be frightened by the up and down of the market price, we should just maintain our prospect of where price will reach before selling our coins.

when you have taken the choice, stay calm and believe in that choice, because I see you are holding a good coin in my opinion so don't be sad friends, there will come a time when the coin you hold will give you profit
Being patient in holding good coins is certainly not a bad choice, in fact it is a better choice than chasing new coins whose potential is still unclear and much questionable, so the first step to be patient in holding good coins will always be a good step Correct.

There is nothing to be sad about, take it as a lesson to help you have more faith and patience with this market. Sometimes life needs such a harshness, when someone gives up, there will be an opportunity for others to grasp, it's okay as long as you understand the problem, this market is still the same. We complicate ourselves.

I understand what you feel but let it pass by and dont be disappointed. Its quite normal if other alts (including cardano) show a significant increase compared to bitcoin but it doesnt mean you made a wrong decision. Bitcoin is the primary crypto, so its just right to give more trust to the coin that started it all before alts. Just have patience because in time it will be paid off.

What to regret??
bitcoin also increases in price from time to time, if you are not satisfied with the benefits be grateful for the choice.
the chance of making money now as Cardano making its way to the top, so he feels regretful because if he did not convert into bitcoin then his capital may be x3-4 now .

but also you are perfectly right as bitcoin will also increase but not this moment and may take time before getting that same profit.
bitcoin is on the hype price now so it is hard to expect this will make another x2-3 in value any time soon.

All traders have a miserable experience in their trading, because it is not always possible to make the profits that we expect. Sometimes for years someone can get a strategy or manage their emotions. So indeed in trading and investing it takes patience to profit. There's no need to be sad, I've lost a lot, but it's a lesson not to take it anymore.
I'm sure professional traders are also experiencing hardship when they are starting to trade, sometime managing emotion is also very hard and can cause mistake in trading like selling when later the coin is going up that will make us really regret and in trading we dont really have clear perception what the price will become in the future.
But if we stress about these trading losses it can cause us become very stressed. Its better to focus on the future on becoming a better trader rather than just stressing the past trading losses.

Yes I understand how OP is feeling, but if it's your decision instead of regretting it, think simply why you did what you did. If you continue to maintain this mindset in this market, sooner or later you will lose money and get nothing, believing in yourself is essential even if you yourself are in trouble in mistake. Seeing what you've shared I see a lot of people just like you, impatience and lack of knowledge follow in everything you do, and the result is what we're seeing here.

I think that buying Bitcoin is also a wise decision. You didn't get profit from Cardano now, but I am sure that if you are patient enough, you will hold Bitcoin for a while and you will also get a good profit. Moreover you are so young and already involved in crypto, so you have enough time to make money on this market, so just take your time and don't give up.
Indeed. If your holding Bitcoin or other coins that possibly give high profit then no need for you to be sad since you will surely earn your profit with that coin. Choosing other coins is a wise decision especially when you choose Bitcoin. Maybe Cardano will not give you profit but I'm pretty sure holding bitcoin for a while will give you a good profit in the future. Indeed. As long as they are young and can make income in other way, then there's no need for them to be sad because they have a lot of time to earn money, if they just give all their effort and be patient always then they can earn and learn especially to all of those mistakes they've done.
Converting your altcoins to bitcoin is definitely a good choice and you should not feel worried about it because in the long run, bitcoin will give you more profits than cardano. Mind you, its a wise decision dude.

But i suggest, if you plan to hold your coins, then have faith to your coins. You should not just easily dump your coins in exchange for others. But in your case, its another story though.

I agree, but this is bitcointalk and we're all bitcoin believers, even those who pretend they're not (you know who I'm talking about bcash people).

But it's the last piece of advice I would ever want to give to people who've lost their money already. When you go in, you're chasing losses and that kind of psychological exertion on buyers is never preparing them to be long term investors.

I would take a step back and relax, and live life normally. Put some leftover spare cash into DCA for BTC and that's it.

If you look at it the positive way, Bitcoin still has the chance to increase its value, even you missed ADA's pump better to keep your asset
as it is, in the long run you'll benefit from this market, most of the time failure or mistake happened because of miscalculation and wrong choice of investment,

but if you believe that your current holdings will give you decent benefits why bother to sell it out.
Continue investigating and not to regret your decision, for most, Bitcoin still the best asset for long-term goal.

Holding can be a good way to make a profit in the future but that will need more observation about what coin we should hold. It is clear that holding bitcoin, ethereum and bnb can be a good way of holding the coin, but do not forget that altcoin will always be behind bitcoin, so you need to buy at a low price to prevent the dump that can happen to the market. But if you can not buy at a low price, you can just buy at a low price and hold it but always manage your emotion, especially if you always check the market price.

Look, I'm a holder here so I can't speak enough about how good it is as a strategy, including with DCA regularly, you can keep a day job, do your life as normal and enjoy the best of both worlds (be a regular guy not spending all your time in crypto but still reaping the benefits of crypto).

But this applies only to BTC and maybe ETH, and a select few coins. Everything else is a big, big gamble.
I think that is work for the holder as they do not follow the market movement every day and only check the price occasionally. They do not have to intend to trade because they do not have much time to analyze the coin's movement. When you decide to be a holder, you should have the other income sources to live with that and only wait for your investment to grow in the future. By using that way, I think you do not have to bother to confuse the market fluctuation.

There will definitely be an effect on Altcoins if Bitcoin goes down, as well as when Bitcoin goes up. But what we need to say is that choosing to convert a percentage of altcoins into Bitcoin is the right choice because Bitcoin is a very useful investment asset in my opinion. There are also people who misunderstood what I meant.
Actually, it's not a misunderstanding, it's just that some people prefer to convert their assets into fiat or their own country's currency, because in the cryptocurrency space only two models can be applied if everyone wants to change their assets, to Bitcoin or to stablecoins.
Lol stable coin does not even imply on this part because OP has fund from cardano and was converted into bitcoin meaning he cares nothing about having stable funds but to earn and that is what he did.
and also there are many applicable ideas not only converting to stable coins or bitcoin , because people can also choose to other altcoins as they see it will pump high in the following days or either to keep holding for longer time.

do not be sad friends, what you are doing now is not a problem. you convert cardano and into bitcoin it means you missed the cardano hype. but even converted to bitcoin you can get a bigger profit. don't be sad and worry friends because for me there is no loss for you
During his conversion to a better coin, I don't think it's a problem for him, because it's true as you said that it's nothing to be sad about because Bitcoin is generally still better than Cardano even though he missed the cardano hype at the moment.
maybe the author still doesn't understand about cryptocurrency. he's just sad because he missed the cardano hype moment. maybe if the author can manage bitcoin assets well, it can even generate 3-5x which is much larger than cardano. what I'm highlighting here is the task of the thread writer to be good at bitcoin management so that the profit can be greater so that they can buy cardano

what he regrets is that the price of Cardano has increased compared to bitcoin which was stable in the state he was in when he checked the assets he owned.
it is not a problem because both are good assets.
but at least the OP still has a bit of Cardano to enjoy the benefits.
That's clearly true, because owning Bitcoin also won't hurt even though price movements are now starting to slow down, but Bitcoin will always be good to have at all times, because Bitcoin is very different from other Altcoins even though Altcoins like Cardano are also very good now.
bitcoin continues to be the best even its impact on crypto assets is still strong.
like now you can see how the market is in correction and it affects almost all altcoins. Bitcoin's dominance is still too strong. choosing it is not a bad thing.
but then again, a definite consideration is the market moment that will surely be our regret to see the assets we left in the pump.

Crypto life is full of opportunities, unfortunately I do not have too much time in my life to check them all, but give me a bit of time and a bit of money and I can build a whole system that could work for you to figure out the best chances at that moment at all moments and taking advantage of every single possible way to make money. It could be something as simple as signature campaign to having a full blown crypto full-time job to making money from other projects by being part of them to many other stuff.

Long story short crypto is filled with many chances to make money, it could be from trading, investing, working or even gambling as well. I am quite happy with the world we are living in, if there was no crypto then I would be living a horrible life. I was insanely lucky to meet my boss and right now I am living the best life I can imagine, if you asked me 10 years ago, my "dream" life wouldn't even be this, this is beyond better than what my dream would be, it is amazing. So just wait, and you will face some chances once again and make a profit next time.
I lived the exact same thing few months ago. I had a lot of BNB and I sold that to get into something called SBDO which was an algo stable currency and I took my money from 2.3k to nearly 10k, then suddenly it crashed and I got out at 2.5k but at the same time all of that money was in BNB and I got out with much less bnb, it was around 40 bucks when I first started and it was more than 400 bucks when it ended, meaning my 2.3k would have been 20k+ if I stayed on BNB but I didn't and I lost on that chance.

It is really sad to see those type of things but I am glad about it because all of these missing profits are growing pains right now that gives us more insight into how we should trade/invest and we become better afterwards. For example when I want to get into something new nowadays, I do not trade my cryptos to other cryptos, I put new money into it, if I do not have new money then I do not get into the new thing.

That's why it's important to do research and analysis before investing or trading,
because if we just choose coins and follow someone's advice, of course it's not a good thing,
it's not easy and requires more effort when we do analysis and research but I think it will be much better
Actually every suggestion also needs to be considered even though in the end only we ourselves can decide in choosing a coin after the completion of research and analysis, because the suggestions of some famous people in the cryptocurrency world are also trustworthy and worthy to be followed as long as he suggests good coins

We cannot predict the price of every coin. Hold is the key to success and more patience in trading. Let us hold and keep trading someday we will also gain more.
Holding is a good way to make money in the crypto industry. But for this, you need to hold some legit coin. If you just hold some shitcoin and wait to make the profit you will be disappointed. For the HODL we need to make an investment in some legit coin. Of course, Bitcoin and Ethereum are best. There is also some altcoin available, but before making an investment in those altcoins we need to do a lot of research.
That's why it's important to do research and analysis before investing or trading,
because if we just choose coins and follow someone's advice, of course it's not a good thing,
it's not easy and requires more effort when we do analysis and research but I think it will be much better
I agree with your point. Making our own research gives us more information and wisdom in order to make an good investment. However, people tend to rely on other making them recklessly invest their money in an unknown tokens or a scam project. In my country, many people have lost their money to scam tokens advertised all over the Internet.
That's due to greediness, even if a certain company shows proof that they are legit, but the fact that they offer an investment return that is too good to be true, then most likely that certain model will not last and failed in the long run. People wants instant return which turns out their investment into gambling.

Hold can not always be the key to success, because there is also a time to release all assets that we already hold, because when ATH occurs on all coins that we have or that we have held in the past, then that's when the words Hold are no longer applies, except for those who don't know about ATH in a coin.

I havnt been paying attention to the price of my crypto due to school, and other stuff going on. A month ago I turned 2/3 of my cardano into bitcoin. I looked today to check my gains/losses. I would have doubled my investment if I kept my cardano. I am not gonna let it get to me, but it could have been pretty cool if I held it. hats off to the people that have the patience to hold coins going nowhere for a while.
it's not a shame guys, you convert cardano to bitcoin it doesn't matter because both have good prices. You can be sad if you mistakenly convert cardano to coins that have no value. but converting cardano to bitcoin is not a mistake, because in the future you can profit from bitcoin.
what he regrets is that the price of Cardano has increased compared to bitcoin which was stable in the state he was in when he checked the assets he owned.
it is not a problem because both are good assets.
but at least the OP still has a bit of Cardano to enjoy the benefits.

The same could have happened if you hadn't just held Cardano and the Bitcoin price would have gone up. Unfortunately, on the cryptocurrency market, earning is often associated with a large dose of coincidence. If you are investing in the long term, you shouldn't worry about this difference. Sooner or later you will also earn on Bitcoin.

No need to regret it if it turns out that the Cardano that we have has been converted into Bitcoin. Even if we keep holding Cardano the profit generated
will be much greater, if we look at the price of Cardano which continues to rise. But we also have to imagine what if Cardano went the other way,
maybe we would regret not converting Cardano into Bitcoin immediately. Indeed, the movement of cryptocurrencies is difficult to predict, so don't regret
all the decisions we take, as long as we are still making profits. Still we must be grateful, because it is not good if we are too greedy in pursuing
profits from crypto investments.

That's exactly what I meant. Cardano's price could also have been corrected and the situation would have been very different. This is exactly what happened at this point, but in the long term, everything should even out and the theoretical loss will not be visible. Well, unless the Cardano price continues to rise. However, no one can predict this.

that's why you must have learned to be a diamond hand, you have been holding a very good coin and i didn't know what you were thinking in the past that was making you to convert your ADA to the bitcoin. If you're not a big holders of bitcoin and it will not so profitable enough like when you're holding your altcoin

This is why i prefer to hodl altcoins over bitcoin caused by the potential is still low and the marketcap can grow even bigger like bitcoin.
Altcoin is still having a lot of chance to make another good return. That's why become a diamond hand just like a way to be a winner as long as you're holding a legit coin.
You said holding altcoin more profit than Bitcoin. I agree with it but don't forget about Bitcoin used to be going as low as $4k and high as $60k after 3 years. Bitcoin may not profitable as much as holding altcoin like ADA but in long term, Bitcoin still has some edge over it. It's harder for altcoins to have that kind of stability over time like Bitcoin. I think the best course of action is to hold both Bitcoin and altcoins.

Don't be sad mate, you still have a chance , Look its dumping now  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cardano/

if you really think this coin is good like how you reacting now , then best to buy some few coins now or be sorry again when the pump comes?

but i assure you that before cardano hits the top, it is bitcoin what will make you rich more so best to stay on your plans and just ignore the bitterness now.

During his conversion to a better coin, I don't think it's a problem for him, because it's true as you said that it's nothing to be sad about because Bitcoin is generally still better than Cardano even though he missed the cardano hype at the moment.

you don't need to be sad, because no one knows what will happen to cryptocurrencies in the future (such as the price of ADA rising very high), so as long as you sell and swap ADA to Bitcoin without losing (already getting profit), then it's very good for you and you don't need to be sad about that, because I think Bitcoin is a good choice for investment.
Agreed, he is still making a bit of profit as he still holds a bit of ADA after swapping to bitcoin, I think this would be more congratulatory than a sad thing but he still doesn't understand, by the way, i can say that he is representing many faces of other merchants, only sad about the missed opportunity but if the value doesn't increase like that and fall extremely sharply, it can be said to be sadder. From his admiration, he is just someone who doesn't understand the project, others are patient just because they understand the project better and know its destination, instead of thinking it won't go very far in the future

That is exactly the point , he was just sad because of losing the opportunity now but he does not giving attention to what he will gain sooner or in the future.
there are chances we missed by buying other coins but we don't see the long term effect of our decision.
in bitcoin you are always safe in your investment not like in altcoin that chances are few, sometimes we are giving a one chance for long years .
so best to let it go and just think of what will future might bring because of this decisions.

Just take it easy, as long as you haven't sold it then you still have the opportunity to make a profit too, especially what you invest is Bitcoin, then you don't need to be afraid, because the price of Bitcoin will definitely continue to increase and give you a lot of profit in the future, therefore you do not need to be disappointed, because you will get a bigger profit by investing in Bitcoin.

That's why focus is really important when you are investing, however, you should still be thankful if you made a profit selling 2/3 of your investment. Just remember that although Cardano's price is very high now, there's still an opportunity to buy it when the price will dip which I'm sure will certainly happen in the future.

I made a loss on my investment. You have to wait for coins. In the moment of damage, you are already waiting by necessity. they gave a special nickname to those who come out of the metal paste investment in case of loss fluctuations. (sucker vinegar) Smiley The important thing is not to be too ambitious when it rises, to settle for profit. If you can do that, you really win. If you are greedy, then the result unfortunately ends in sadness. Wink

I understand how it feels due to your commitment in school and other stuff, coz’ I felt the same as well. Reminds me back then when I don’t have time management in checking my portfolio, as I am busy with my travels a few years ago before the pandemic began.

As most of the altcoins are being influenced by Bitcoin’s dominance, investing on either ADA or BTC is still good for long-term as they both belong at the top in market capitalization. It’s okay dude, you just need to have a little bit of time management to check them even for just a few minutes a day.

Holding coin is the best solution at the moment and I applaud you for being able to take your time from your activities to cryptocurrency activities. If we have a coin that has value or has already made a profit from the purchase price, then it is very good to sell it and convert it into Bitcoin when the Bitcoin price is down.
In terms of strategy when converting it into any form of cryptocurrency, I think it becomes very crucial although converting assets into Bitcoin when Bitcoin starts to fall is also a very good solution, but keep in mind also that when Bitcoin starts to fall, other cryptocurrencies too would follow.

Anyone who invests goes through similar things. If you're selling something, its price goes up; if you're holding something, its price goes down. This can happen to you anytime Smiley

If you never touch the coins in your wallet, you can become a millionaire in a few years, but if you trade, the opposite can happen and you only have a few dollars left. This is never guaranteed, no matter how much research you do, sometimes being lucky is more important than anything else.

Experience is very important in the cryptocurrency world, it allows you to manage your emotions Smiley

Don't get disappointed right now. Cardano is an alt and it's natural that with a higher probability you would've gained profit with it within a short period of time. However, hold your Bitcoins for a year and you'll see that you've made the right choice. You'll have to wait longer, but the end profit will be bigger.
Besides, a month ago purchase is a good one for BTC because the price has been only growing since then. You could've been in loss, while you're in profit, so there's nothing to be sad about.

Month ago price of btc was around 35k. While now its around 48k. I don't know why OP is sad as he must be in profit now or I am missing the key point of post.
It happens, price of token start climbing as soon as you start selling it. It's about how strong your nerves are.

That is right , actually he did the perfect decision though the profit cannot feel right away as cardano is making its way up and bitcoin is still struggling to cover the past ATH.
but this will prosper on long run and surely he will pay happiness in time when Bitcoin finally reach the top again and will smile why he need to create this sad post.
sometimes we are just carried away because of our frustration from what we think is a mistake decision but eventually over the time when the course changes and favors us? we will just smile and say "Thanks God I made that MISTAKE"

Investing in crypto needs patient because we do not know when the price can increase. Sometimes, the price can increase in the next days, weeks, or even a year and along that time, we will see the price will always fluctuate and that can make us become impatient. If we become impatient, we can sell it right away without thinking that the price will be back to the higher price, especially if that coin has a chance to increase. At least, you know that patience will be needed in crypto investment so you need to learn more about that and not become a weak hand holding your coin.
Sometimes it is useful to know what the team of cryptocurrencies is doing that we keep in our wallets before deciding to sell it. Recently, important events have been taking place on the Cardano network: this coin is switching to the POS algorithm and provides for smart contracts, and this expands its capabilities, which lead to an increase in its price. In this regard, Cardano has already taken the third place in terms of capitalization and is growing pretty decently in price.

Cardano is a good coin to hold in long term, look at their volume and ranking in the marketcap, Cardano still doing well until today.
But dont be sad if you already sold your Cardano into Bitcoin, the expert said will be $100k this year, so you still have hope to take some profit this year. Crypto is all about your faith and analyse to do and take profit and this is valuable lesson for you, and for all of us.

don't do that, whenever you buy any cryptocurrency keep an eye on it, your money is needed and for that reason it also deserves the same attention you give to school and other things

What if you had lost 50% of your investment? this could also have happened, so don't think too much about it, you couldn't have known

That is very right, you wouldn't know what will happen to their market. Just lucky that ADA is in good position because it is really a promising network. But if it has been a different alt, it may go down without you knowing their market movement. So lesson learned also, if you are a holder of any coin, make sure that you are diligently keeping up their updates so you will not be left behind. Because most alts, they died easily and you have no way of recovering your investments if it happens.

You are still in school and you are talking about investment, that is a big deal. It is good to see that people so young are here and investing in the market but make sure you focus on your education when it matters. I am holding cardano and i invested when i heard about their plans about the upgrade and it looks like you are not following their development.

Those who choose to hold coins are very lucky. The way you choose to convert 2/3 Cardano coins into Bitcoins is great in my opinion. Estimates of Bitcoin will return to its highest price this year, many analysts believe it will happen again.
What exactly do you mean by highest price? Do you mean the ATH? I think 64k is enough as the highest price for this bull run after the halving and the rest that we see are the traders doing some trade. I don't believe most of these analyst people that you are talking because if history wants to repeat itself then it will.

This sudden pump to $50k after staying for too long in $30k+ is just the result of a fomo after there's a rumor circulating that Amazon is accepting Bitcoin as a payment. Then that means there's an adoption of Bitcoin and to think that Amazon is a huge company so the demand and adoption might move fast than expected.

Anyway, altcoins may pump but most of them actually follow the trend of Bitcoin so it's still a better option to sell some alts to buy some Bitcoin and in terms of investment, Bitcoin is the best than any other altcoins.

You are not the only victim here op, I also regretted concerting my Matic token in USDT which is a stable coin. I can just calculate the amount if money I would have made if I had left it in my wallet. Honestly for one to be a good investor that will end up making great profits, patience is needed to really get what we want from the market. Are the been I was not been controlled by rumors and fear, I would have benefited from the market.

Well, I've learnt my lessons which is very painful and I still believe one opportunities are coming for those who could wait the test of time. Making money in the cryptocurrency market is never easy but easy for those that could control their emotions.

Cool man, Still you are in profit. It's good. You did nothing wrong here. Cardano is an altcoin, and we all know altcoin can pump 100% or more in one day. Now you are holding Bitcoin, For the long-term investment, it's best. Ada made an ATH this month. but don't forget that for a healthy pump, Ada needs to retest the support levewl. So I hope you will get another chance to buy Caradano. I believe you are a long-term investor, not a regular trader. So try to buy again some good potential altcoin and wait for a good time. I strongly believe Cardano will hit $5 soon.

No need to feel sad because you are not alone. Many people get the same experience as you and they still trying to recover their losses in trading or investment. Having patience is a must in the crypto investment because we do not know when the price will rise and you already get the lesson that with patience, you can make a profit. Do not give up because of your losses but make that an important lesson to you so you know how you can rise from the losses. You still have a chance to enter the market while the market has a correction for a while and you need to analyze before doing something.

Hold sound simple but sometimes appear to be the most hardest thing to do, not everyone has the patience to hold to long enough to profit from it, I also miss the opportunity to buy Cardano below $2 but I hesitated and the opportunity slip through me, this things happen, we can't always get it right but we can try, and if you are in for long term, it is not later to buy ada at current price because there is lots of potentials to be seen.

There is still a great opportunity because you have changed to the right coin, namely bitcoin, of course this will be a bigger opportunity than ADA if you are patient with it so that when you check again you can get the same opportunity when you want it.
It's not a big mistake but you'll be doing it for the long haul I think it's still worth trying to get back to ADA if there's any left over from converting to bitcoin and at least you already know that the odds are now better if you leave for something real.
this is what many people have experienced. but luckily the coins are converted to bitcoin, so in the long run it's nothing to worry about. but the problem now is our feelings of regret for using the word "if". therefore in trading, do not let us dissolve in regret, for sure there are still many opportunities ahead, and we can start to analyze it again

The question is when you change your Cardano to bitcoin get profit or not. And we all know you said that if you kept all your cardano you will get doubled, that is happen to a lot of people. If that thing happen to us, it is better to be grateful. What be difference is how much profit we get. What made us regret if when we sell our coins in a lose condition then price increased again, that is when we are not really be patient with our investment.

You don't need to be sad, everyone at one point in time has made same move, and I personally won't call it a mistake at least you used it to buy another good coin, you just have to accept that and move on; most importantly you didn't sell all. It would have been bad or a big mistake if you had sold the ADA Cardano coin for a shitcoin, that's where the regrets would have set in, but since it is on Bitcoin then I don't think it's a big problem.
Also, I would like to add, once you have made up your mind on a particular coin and set it aside for long term, then leave it that way until your target is met, but the only condition in this case is, the coin or token must not be a hype coin, a pump and dump coin or a shitcoin, however it must be a coin or token from a reliable team with good use case.

Holding coin is the best solution at the moment and I applaud you for being able to take your time from your activities to cryptocurrency activities. If we have a coin that has value or has already made a profit from the purchase price, then it is very good to sell it and convert it into Bitcoin when the Bitcoin price is down.
how i wish you really understand what thread you are commenting ?

OP is feeling bad because of His wrong decision converting Altcoin to Bitcoin in which wrong timing.
Because His \Cardano has been sitting in His wallet but decided to convert part of it to bitcoin in which makes him losing the chance to doubled his Profit.

That's okay. You're still holding bitcoin and you just did the right decision but it's needing for you to hold a little bit longer until you see that doubled profit you should have will be surpassed by the decision you did. Do not be disappointed with what you did, you can eventually get back those Cardano's if you want to and shift back to it but just keep those bitcoins.

Normal things in cryptocurrency, the longer you trade on crypto market the more wise you face regret of selling or buying the wrong coins.
At least you could manage your emotion, it's just okay. There are more chance in the future you will face a choice in between and you will pick the right choice. Just keep learning and make more experience and more patience while in trades.

Indeed bitcoin really increase as well along with ethereum and other alts in the market, so its not bad mate and dont be disappointed because there will be a next time for it. Just keep it up and lesson learned, next time must stick to one and  focus where you can really get a good return..

I feel you mate because we have the same troubled mind when the Solana coins pumped now as i have also sold mine late last year and now i felt hard when price climbs high .

there had been chance for me to hold but i doubt my coin like what you did now in ADA.

Thanks, every little bit that I make helps because I am not old enough to get a job, so what little money I have I put into crypto.
Just keep it mate , sooner you'll see that profit comes your way as we choose to support the best coin than altcoins.

Bitcoin forever mate !!!

If you have sold your ADA for BTC yesterday and BTC just dropped low, that's another loss for you. I have some of ADA myself just to make sure that if it becomes the next big platform like BSC, I would be left without it. Since you have sold it, it only means you are also not staking. It's no wonder you are tempted to sell.

Anyway, You now have Bitcoin which is predicted to be more than $100K soon so stay with it even if it's dipping today.

Do not worry about it much. It is not necessary. Besides, bitcoin is the most populous coin so that you will not lose much your money with this investment. According to different sources, many have predicted that bitcoin can surpass $100000 in the next few months. 1/3 for ada and 2/3 for bitcoin is a good allocation. Good luck my friend

You don't have to admire them, and you just need to be confident in your decisions, and you will also get the results you deserve. Maybe you should take this as a lesson to the field, sometimes we just complicate matters when in reality doing nothing becomes a problem for newbies.

that's why you must have learned to be a diamond hand, you have been holding a very good coin and i didn't know what you were thinking in the past that was making you to convert your ADA to the bitcoin.

The price of altcoins is still very low so we can get more coins for only $2000, when altcoin capitalization reaches the moment of increase it will be easy to increase at least more than 20%, so it is very worth altcoins as a great opportunity for medium category investment capital.

I can perfectly relate  though not with cardano but with another coin called safehaven, I bought safehaven, held and was earning some reward for holding, I found another cheap token on coinmarketcap which I thought would go up and help me recover the loss ive already incurred from safehaven, have no extra money, I had to sell my safehaven to buy the other coin, it wasn't up to two weeks, the coin kept going down too and we later discovered the project was being run by scammers who were busy minting new coins in the background and dumping them on the market causing the price to keep going down, by this time, safehaven has already gone really up in price, and to be sincere, I felt really bad, because if only I held onto my safehaven tokens, I would have made alot of profit, but I lost it all on a scam project due to greed and ignorance.

Some times, it's difficult not to think about this silly mistakes but then, we all have to learn from it and make better choices next time.

There are so many earning opportunities in crypto.

Its ok if you miss out on some opportunities to expand your holdings. More will definitely be on the way.

It could be worthwhile to think about and research what led to making the undesirable trade. And not repeating the same result in the future. Being a successful trader is as much not making bad trades, as it is making good ones.

Mistakes like these were common on where we do sold off something just to accumulate something and turns out that the previous one did really make out some significant movement which you could potentially
earn more if you do able to held it and its quite frustrating but lets not really make ourselves too get stressed into that because the thing here is that you do able to accumulate bitcoin in exchange to that
which we can really say that it is still worth off rather than on converting your cardano for some shit coins and that what makes the situation even more worst since frustration would
really be coming next in line.

This seems kind of inevitable really. It is simple math, albeit with huge numbers involved, that smaller altcoins can grow many times while still having a tiny market capitalization in comparison to bitcoin. If you say that the market cap of bitcoin is 2 trillion (the price of all existing bitcoins) then you would need to add $200 billion to that amount in order for it to move up by ten percent. However if you started with an altcoin that was worth $1 billion when you bought in, it could multiply 200 times before it each reached that same value which moved bitcoin slightly. Also, don't bother with regrets - especially if you made a decent chunk of change which many people find hard to do at the best of times.

Well, this is the best step for you now, there are nothing losses at your end if you will keep these coins held in your portfolio and wait until such time the gain will be back. You have still had the Cardano coin in your wallet and I think it is pretty good to hold them for a long period of time. Bitcoin is also good at holding in a long period of time so nothing to worry about at all. However, if you will be sold this during the dump for sure it will forever lose you gain forever but if you will wait until such time will come seeing that your profit was there, that is great for you, --just be patient.

Bitcoin is one of the best cryptocurrencies out there, if you've converted your funds to that then you'll have fairly guaranteed success imo for longer than a lot of the major altcoins currently on offer.

The chances cardarno doubled after doing nothing would've been quite low too. If you have made a profit or even just a tiny loss before converting to btc, you've done quite well (especially if it was 2 months ago when bitcoin started dumping - as most alts had followed and plateaud compared with it).

The trick with long(ish) term trading is working out the best times to buy and sell but also the safest time. If you're selling very near the peak of a price move - you're risking too much and would be lucky it filled (volatility dependent).
