It is interesting, more and more countries with large shopping centers accept crypto as a form of payment, which will help the market go up and crypto is increasingly known as a solution. Alternative coin in the future.

Hello Everyone!

This will not be a world news. This will not be giant game changer. This will, however be a topic close to me as I am from the Czech republic.

For those who are totally unaware, Czech republic is a small country in the middle of Europe (sometimes called the heart of Europe). But we are one of the biggest BTC miners per head!

Even with all those recent news, Czech republic stays strong in the crypto markets, believing in the blockchain. This can be easily shown by our biggest e-shop with electronic. They started to accept BTC as a mean of payment last year and it has easily become one of the most popular payment options, especially for PC components (mostly for more mining).

The most recent news is, that the e-shop will accept LTC and DASH next! Those are awesome news! Why? It shows, that even in the bloody times for the crypto markets, the crpyto currencies are still used even in the mainstream shops somewhere around the world. Even if we are just a small country, we slowly, but steadily accept crypto in our everyday lifes.

Just wanted to share this bit of information with you guys, hope someone would fin it interesting! Smiley

Wow, this sure is a very great news not just for czech people that are into cryptos but for all of us that are crypto lovers and appreciate its innovations. This will certainly mean that it is really possible to be able to use crypto currencies with ease in buying what we need and not just bitcoins alone. I hope a lot of countries out there would also be doing the same after this great news. Having this happen would be almost like a dream come true.!

That's really cool, the biggest question would be, what the process is going to be?
I assume that you can't just enter the store and spend thousends of dollars in bitcoin, and you will need to declare where the money came from.
I don't know how Czech Republic react to cryopocurrencies, but I just can't believe that they let people spending their earnings without passing through any government's agency.

How much higher is the price in this store for goods purchased for crypto currency, compared to the Fiat currencies? It is clear that this is a payment for volatility risks.
That is necessary because the transaction fee of crypto is still quite large. But this is a good sign for crypto types as more and more services and large corporations around the world accept crypto in commercial transactions. The future of cryptocurrency will also grow very strong in the future.
Agreed! News like this would show investors the reason to want to get in now when the night is still young. I believe there would be more to come in the long run, and the few ones taking the bold steps right now would be the ones to benefit most in the end.

It is impressive that countries like this actually see a good reason to improve their economy by allowing the use of cryptocurrency and with what the OP said about the shop being the biggest in the country, I really imagine, the impact it would have.

Yes, i agree this is the best example for everybody in the side of the government in there country were it helps to boost there economic stability in providing easy and fast transaction payment were all people are cashless. In this high technology trends e-payment machine has a soon to be most effective ways in this fast growing economy and population.

That's really a good news since another store is utilizing digital currencies as payment for their goods as well as their services. It would be nice if those doubters about bitcoin will realize that cryptocurrencies are indeed, real.

That's nice to know that btc along with other crypto (ethereum, litecoin etc)are still growing in your country. I have read an article about the sudden rise of btc in Czech republic. If i am not mistaken that happened as early as the start of year 2015. However, expect that your country might regulate soon or do something about the circulation of cryptos because it is now getting bigger and bigger. For now, enjoy your hassle-free purchases as you can leave your banknotes and even payment cards when traveling.

Well the shop has to pay taxes already (I have no idea how do they do it, but they have to) and only regulation coming to my minf that could be quite easily implemented is KYC. I do not find that much of a problem Smiley And yes, Czech Republic is one of te biggest miners per head country Smiley
I am very sure since the government is aware of all the development, taxes should not be a problem. It is good to hear stuffs like this anyway. I am not sure how regulation is really done by the government here, but at the end of it all, once one of the biggest shop as you said is accepting, that would get most of the citizens who even have no idea about cryptocurrencies to get curious and want to know more. It is a good thing for the country, the citizens and the cryptocurrency community at large.

Exactly! The OP may not see it as a big news, but for the whole community at large and the investors, it is a very good one. This kind of news give hope that there is a huge light at the end of the tunnel, and the thing is that it takes few to start and most especially the brave ones, and once others start using them as case study based on how well they are doing, the adoption at that level will start increasing and we will see more of them coming up. Great one for the people of this country and I am sure over time, it should have impact on their economy if the adoption increases, which I believe it will.
perfectly right on this mate, every big thing starts at smaller pieces,we cannot complete a puzzle without even the smallest piece so this Czech republic action to support our crypto community is a start of a bigger future,if this company succeeds in this one, more company for sure will follow its path in using cryptocurrencies as mode of payments, and if they saw the advantage of having our coin as investment soon they will realize that they should have done this before.

It is positive news for the country and the users in the country. If only we can get to see more countries like this coming up with an adoption like this, it would make the whole system better. One thing that this is going to create is awareness and adoption. Once the citizens start seeing a way to utilize their coins, it would make the idea of currency stick and also give the confidence that the space is here to stay. It is a good thing and I hope there would be more improvement.

Not only are they accepting cryptos, they are also severing more customers than just Czech which is a big bonus. Sadly they don't ship to my country as I am outside the EU but good for people inside the EU. It does give me optimism that more merchants will begin accepting cryptocurrencies, mainstream adoption gets closer each and every day! Smiley

Congratulations! This is very good news. If more countries (even small ones) did something similar, the world in general would become more crypto-friendly. If the biggest e-shop accepts payment in cryptocurrencies, it helps them to be what they're supposed to be - not means of trading, but of payment.
Yeah, if more countries are doing this, it would spring up the adoption level of cryptocurrency and would even make the development to be fast.

So far, we have seen a lot of them but very few but it is a good start. Czech republic may be a small country, but the fact remains that it would have an impact generally as more awareness is being created and if the citizens are finding ways to do well for themselves with the adoption of cryptocurrency, I am sure it would have a huge impact at large in the country itself.

It is good news, I would say, even if the shop is not popular or really influential. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. EU is very reluctant to accept cryptocurrencies, so each case is remarkable. I'm glad  Cool

This real good news for the people of Czech Republic and because the shop is the largest electronic shop makes it a force to reckon with in that part of the world. It really might not be a game changer as you have rightly said but its also not reducing the influence of the game because that is what is needed to have a spiral effect all over the globe and you never can tell how the tentacles can spread as fast as possible. However, the most important is the attitude of government towards crypto over there for a major site to come out openly for crypto without having issues with authorities because over here, that is one thing you are scared of.

I agree but it is the small countries that can make the difference, as in some of these countries, a small amount of bitcoin can make the living of a family, and help to sustain them. Thus, in these countries, the initiative of spreading the popularity and adoption increases and this is a really good thing ultimately for the base of bitcoin. I'm glad to see Czech republic being one of those Smiley
Most commonly small countries adopting innovative tech are what causes large countries like US and others to consider adopting the same tech which is in this case, bitcoin and crypto in general. I am sure that we will soon see another country adopting btc and cryptocurrency legally. This would fulfill the real intention for creating cryptos which is to be used as payment by most, and not for speculative purposes.

This should be the best news for me today because I do value adoption and acceptance than news of pumping and dumping. If shops are adopting bitcoin it then means bitcoin is been as currency and not securities or bonds.

Indeed, this is another best news as i have observed that lot of good development that are now happening in favor of Bitcoin including this one in which it will make Bitcoin price to become more strong and stable again. Hopefully, that the other countries will do the same too so that the Bitcoin value will once again to reach the recorded ATH by this year.

It truly is. In my country only few small cafes and some private consultants accept bitcoin. As the national bank doesn't recognize it as a currency, it is more of personal agreements on the currency than official business.

Good news!

If I remember right: both Iceland and Hungary booted central bankers out of their countries after repaying their debt to banks incurred during the 2008 economic crisis. Am I right in thinking the Czech Republic falls roughly under the same category, in terms of it being politically aligned in opposition to central banks? There are interesting independence movements ongoing around the globe whereby many appear to be taking note of the influence central bankers have upon the world and are deciding to oppose their negative influence.

I wish we could do more to support this as americans.

You see, it is more about the mentality of the Czechs... We kinda like to take risks and we like to grasp opportunities by the toe. Also if there is any way of kinda avoid government, taxes, etc, Czech folks will do just that. The newer generation, understanding the technology at least a bit, will also know, that the future is digital. So you kind of have a point too, we do not like being told what to do, so we do not particularly like central banks. I would not really go into politics of Czech republic right now, as it is one giant mess Cheesy (our president is highly open-mouthed stubborn old guy and our premier is being judged)...

Nice to see some good news around, it's not really major news but it just shows that crypto acceptance is still increasing. The more retailers start to accept crypto the more commonplace it will become and eventually a major online retailer or such will adopt cryptos and then there's no looking back.

That's just perfect! This would allow many in the Czech republic to purchase electronics from their online store if they don't particularly own Bitcoin, but have LTC or Dash. Litecoins have the added benefit of having lower transaction fee and quicker confirmations which would enable quicker payments and I'm hoping to expect that the very same e-shop starts accepting Bitcoin lightning payments by beginning to research on it or attempting to utilize a payment API like https://strike.acinq.co/#/ (AINCQ Strike) once it's available.

We need to see more businesses to start by atleast accepting Bitcoins even if it didn't earn them any sales during the initial periods, it's still a good place to start as even if a small crypto sale had happened, that could grow byitself.

Smiley

Well, this is a good news for Czech republic people and another shop again is accepting cryptocurrencies as what i have read before that other countries are accepting cryptocurrencies for their restaurant. If every countries accept cryptocurrencies in various business they have i guess it's not that bad to have other businesses to accept too. It could be good for everyone and i want to see their reaction when price goes up or down.

The shop have some interesting stuff for buying with bitcoins Smiley

Do they shop cross-country (EU)? Because within EU it's just transportation, it's not import/export to another EU members.

Well according to this, they are shipping almost anywhere.

This is really very good news! I would like that not only you have a greater number of such stores, but other countries took the example.

It's a good news for the traders in Czech republic.Because they can use the cryptocurrency as a direct currency without change it to FIAT.The transaction fee for the bitcoin to FIAT will be saved. They can use that bitcoin to buy additional things. This news may increase the price of bitcoin in future.

This is very positive news for Czech Republic,it is dream of most crypto owners to buy goods and services direct with cryptocurrency, instead of converting crypto in fiat and lose a certain amount on fees.

It is good that they accept LTC, and DASH will be accepted soon,so if problems with high fees happens again users have option to pay with other coin.We need more sellers/stores which will accept cryptocurrency, only in this way we will have stability and break the myths that BTC is only for bad things.

This should be the best news for me today because I do value adoption and acceptance than news of pumping and dumping. If shops are adopting bitcoin it then means bitcoin is been as currency and not securities or bonds.

Well, I am happy it has made your day better and that you find my article usefull Smiley

How popular is that shop in Czech Republic? Do you have any idea how many people buy through that shop?
I wouldn't say that it's unimportant, it's always very positive that local businesses also start accepting Bitcoin or other crypto currencies.

As soon as local shops start accepting crypto, there's going to be a more trusting attitude towards crypto from people who were skeptical at first.

It is the biggest and most used e-shop in our country. They have revenue of millions of dolalrs. I have foudn their report from 2015, when they had yearly revenue of roughly 520 millions $. They have implemented crypto currencies as a mean of payment into all of their products with BTC, LTC is already implemented and DASH is on the way. It is becomming more and more popular.
