I'm using it mainly because I found difficult to keep open multiple charts (on multiple exchanges) in a browser.
Quite offten I was facing browser crashes, freezing and similar stuff.

Now the binance charts are in app (you can have 8 active chart tabs ), couple charts from other exchanges in browser and it's significantly more stable.

On the other hand, the app uses lot of resources (on my laptop I have to restart it time to time) ... but I still find it quicker than restoring crashed browser.

For charting purpose, it is better to use dedicated app for chart like trading view. Exchanges should mainly be used to buy/sell and place the actual orders.
I never like the charts on the exchanges as they are not as detailed as the ones available on trading view.

After reading some good reviews about the binance desktop app, i have started using it and found it very good. However, i feel that once i open this desktop app, it takes a lot of system resources and slow down the system. Does anyone experience the same issue with this desktop app ?

I have used it before. It's not bad and logging in has been made easier via the QR code scanner on your mobile phone app. I also like the fact that you can open different tabs of different trading pair markets within the app

These two are the major reason due to which i prefer using desktop app when i am on the computer. I don't have to login with my password as i can easily scan with my mobile app. Secondly, the tabs on the desktop app make it look premium.

Fyi, the web version also supports QR code login via the "scan to login" button or the QR code half logo in the upper left corner.

Afaik, the web version only has a limited login session until the device is turned off. You must log back in every time the device is turned on. I like the desktop version more, especially its mini window which displays favorite cryptos, customizable shortcut settings, and price alert feature.

Binance desktop app is better in cases when regular web version is having issues with overload and it's not possible to access website like it happened before.
It is proved to be more stable and I would keep it installed for cases like this, but some people don't want to install to many applications on their computer and it would be better to have portable version.
I don't know if app is collecting some data from computer and that can be an issue sometimes.

Profit and Loss Account: They are not effectively accounted for on the phone.
Binance desktop app seems to have this pretty much covered  Wink
The phone app also has the feature though you have to dig deeper.

Create an account using encryption: such as using a private key, and others.
Being a centralized exchange, I doubt if Binance would introduce such a feature.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the app also can let you add multiple accounts to it just like you see it possible with the Twitter app or telegram app. One nagging thing is that they constantly push updates.

Do you mean that it is not safe to use binance on chrome or any browser ?
It is safe until you have a malicious extension/add-on installed in your browser or If you don't have strong security check for your account like 2FA

So you are suggesting not to use the binance desktop app right now and wait until they enhance it further ?
It's been there for a long time, I doubt if they will do any major enhancements, but you never know....

The only good for this app if you feel that your account is not safe on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Brave you use this but for me, I am more comfortable using their web and mobile app compared on their desktop app.

I expect that it will happen periodically so do not rush to use it.

I always think that the first version of any application often contains the same initial features, so its constant updating is what keeps people using it, the most important of which are:

  • Automated Trading: If they create an automated trading method, it will be excellent.
  • Notifications: Interactive notification and the ability to link it to the phone or other methods.
  • Profit and Loss Account: They are not effectively accounted for on the phone.
  • Create an account using encryption: such as using a private key, and others.

I expect that it will happen periodically so do not rush to use it.

^ Same goes for me, i dont feel any difference between the app and accessing it on web browser but there are people whom do much prefer on having a dedicated app for this one
for some accessibility reasoning but well we do have our own preference on things. Why not try it for yourself so that you could tell if theres some difference or not.

I tried the Binance Desktop app before but it's no difference in using it on their website.

I was thinking to try it before because I thought that they have some kind of feature like alerts but there is no good feature.
