It's very much covered in different crypto news media outlets that Binance acquired already Coinmarketcap. But you have linked a misleading article about saying that it's a "two" acquisitions although the reality it's just coinmarketcap.

They're assuming that it's an overpriced deal, who knows if there will be a better deal within a few months or years to come? It's just getting started and these acquisitions will possibly be the next trend to boost the market.

I hope there will be some kind of improvement in CMC figures. Hopefully it will be managed better and the figures that we are seeing should at least be near in actual numbers. Also, a lot of dead projects are still in CMC, should be put into one category all those dead coins so we will know how many coins are really still active in the market.

This is a huge milestone for the industry and just goes to show how rewarding innovation within Blockchain/Cryptocurrency can be. I see Binance improving upon the current CMC platform as there are a few areas which I personally can see a lot of potential upgrades on particularly their API.
I's not so huge as you have already expected. There was no a lot of differences before CMC has already acquired and after binance has already acquired it. There is a lot of scam exchange sites are still getting the top rank especially sistemkoin and p2p.
I may wanna try to talk with the team regarding it but this is not a huge movement in crypto industry.
it gives no change at all.

The article is great and all to show how much money there is in crypto world but it is really unfair to make a comparison between the AOL purchase of huffington post and CMC because one is articles that makes money from advertisements of the products they are promoting, whereas one is directly related to finance, so every user of CMC is usually people with money in their hands not knowing what to do or already has done something.

That is why when you are buying a website that has significantly less visitors but more purchasing and more affiliate income, it is easier to pay them x4 what you would otherwise pay for a website that has readers who just use it for free and not spend all that much money. Not saying huffpost is useless but it is definitely not CMC level neither.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao stated that two acquisitions are in the firm pipeline. It seems CoinMarketCap is one of them. Binance is purchasing CMC for a reported $400 Million. This will be the most valuable purchase within the crypto space. But will CoinMarketCap the same or it will be used to endorse CZ and his mates
