Hi Everyone!

I hope we're all having a great week! The market has been wild, so I hope a nice discussion can distract us for a while.

Today, I published an article that compares Binance to Coinbase to try to determine which exchange is larger. That's in terms of different things like revenue, users, trading volume, and more.

Binance vs. Coinbase - The most popular crypto exchange

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!
Actually it is not fair to compare Binance and Coinbase since coinbase has more regulation due to its origin,it will be better if you try comparing Coinbase and Binance US in the trading volume, fee and other KYC requirements.

Coinbase will be better than binance US, they also dominate the US market more strongly than competitors in the same region including Poloniex, especially when they begin to exist with Coinbase Pro. But when talking about global reach, Binance is far superior where they succeed with Asia and Europe market share at the same time. Binance is more targeted at developing strategic areas by always prioritizing quality that is adjusted to the regulations of each country.
If you agree or not,Coinbase leads many users to face issues and loss of funds due to changes in their privacy policies but they will return funds after the investigation but binace is better compared to coinbase support team they will give much quicker response and having separate binance and Binance US made traders from other countries no need to follow the regulations of US.

I think that the operation methods of the Binance exchange are in front of other exchanges. This exchange has a large number of users. So far there have been no major security issues. It is trustworthy.

I'd trust Coinbase more for USD being in 'Murica.

Judging from the comments here, there are many who like Binance, including I often use Binance exchanges as an active trader every day, of course this will be the best choice because Binance is already much in favor if the obvious difference in my opinion is the advantage in the Binance exchange more important because there are lots of coins there and have a real volume.

i prefer binance because they have many coins there to trade and they have more promo/contest if you compare it to coinbase

However, I feel safer on Coinbase. Coinbase also has a more user friendly dashboard for me.
Neither of the two isn't safe especially if you're fond of storing funds on these third party sites.

Haven't use of coinbase ever since as it's restricted here in my country but even it isn't I'd still go with binance. More coins and tokens are listed in there in which you can maximize their liquidity.

I do not know how to explain why I feel safer on Coinbase, but I think it is because it is longer on the market and I use their services longer.
I'm not a trader, so I'm not interested in the number of pairs. You may be right, but I feel more confident on Coinbase. You can call it instinct, or just private comfort, but these are my feelings.

Yes, like most Binance users from here because the exchange has a lot of liquidity, especially in the launch of IEO, which is awaited by investors and always has a folding profit.
Just like you I have never used Coinbase as a trade and prefer other exchanges that are convenient for me and that is our goal at this time.

For me, the most important difference (because I'm a very small investor) is that up to 2 BTC you don't need to pass verification on Binance. At Coinbase, practically everyone needs to pass this verification. In my opinion, Binance also has much lower commissions. However, I feel safer on Coinbase. Coinbase also has a more user friendly dashboard for me.

These two popular exchanges where I can say that I feel secure and has the assurance that if trouble comes in, they can easily solve it with their own solutions. Supports aren't too poor to converse and reply with their users so I think both have the plus factor.

But for trading purposes, the majority would be loving to trade on Binance as if it's the top exchange currently. And Coinbase, I think specifically focusing now with their users for a specific geographical location.

Comparing Binance with Coinbase pro then i would say that theres no question asked about popularity where Binance do really have it.
Well we know Coinbase popularity too but in terms of trading pairs plus liquidity/volume on daily basis then we know on what majority
do prefer. Also it do have some strict ToS in particular fields which would cause you headache in Coinbase.

coinbase started as a wallet before they come up with thier own exchange and being a wallet before coinbase is already popular and got alot of users and volumes and stuffs when compare to binance because binance that time was not really that popular  and eventually coinbase did thier own exchange too so i think they already got the same costumers and will attract more costumers based on thier name and fame but now we cant deny that binance were also popular and still popular despite of some issues that it faced lately  .

In exchange 2 having the superiority of each Binance and Coinbase is one of the most favored exchanges for many traders and investors so they cannot compare.
Binance is my choice because trading there is very comfortable and there are a lot of coins and altcoins that have good developments going forward so I don't hesitate to choose the best exchange at the moment.

Binance is much larger compared with the coinbase caused by binance has been expanding its service to the US and what we know that as a binance US which is the direct competitor for the coinbase. from this thing we can say that binance is much larger than coinbase. Even so many US cutomers are also using binance as their exchange site to trade various cryptocurrency.
I think binance is a winner in this case.

Yes it has been.  I can't remember it being this nuts in quite a while.

I'm not sure the coinbase vs. binance debate is really a good one, because they don't offer quite the same things.  If you're an altcoin trader or just want to buy one that isn't in the top 5 on cmc, binance is your best friend.  If you want to buy bitcoin with fiat, I'd probably pick coinbase in an instant.  They both have their strengths, and they're both very good exchanges.

I wish there were more exchanges like these 2 as well.  The closest one I know of is kucoin, but I don't think they're quite as trusted as either binance or coinbase and I'm not even sure if they let you deal in fiat currencies.  That's one of the strengths of both of the other ones, and they're probably the only 2 I'd trust with fiat deals.

Coinbase is liked as an exchange cause of the User-friendly UI they have. It's like a point and clicks and you're already done trading, so coinbase is alluring for beginners. Binance, on the other hand, offers a lot more pairings and well, honestly, is a lot more popular than Coinbase. Just it's popularity is enough for most users to actually go and use/join them. Considering the fees, I doubt there's much difference between the two of them? I haven't really tried Coinbase so I don't know much. Still, Binance seems to be at their peak right now so, Binance.

in my opinion the problem of trading is more popular in binance, even on coinbase I just made it as a wallet, although coinbase is an old wallet but in my opinion the problem of altcoin is still incomplete, especially for the newly emerging altcoin.

Both are good since they have features that others don't have.

Coinbase deposit method is more convenient and accessible compared to Binance.

But for trading purposes, Binance is my preferred one to use. Coinbase does have Coinbase Pro so maybe when their trading platform established the same status as Binance, I might try it as well.

I use both platform but I prefer to use Binance since Binance has more coins in their list compared to Coinbase. There are also restrictions in using Coinbase in some Countries. In terms of fees, Binance wins against Coinbase. In terms of the site being user friendly, I am more comfortable in using Binance than Coinbase.
