yes, there is no dilemma about Alexa and the competitiveness of their service. just note that with a few hundred dollars spent on SEO, almost any website can have some position. Judging by website authority is not a 100% reliable method of scam recognising. It can be, but for experienced users.

There's also the authenticity checkers some exchanges have for their handles. Try to look for it at the bottom part, they're usually placed there.

but still, no blind trusting cause they can be compromised. For instance if you see an exchange's legit website/social media account posting a bitcoin doubler, it is not to be trusted.

Binance is a well-known platform, and if it wants to add an additional domain, they will advertise it either on the official website, via e-mail, or various media.
There are also a lot of ways to communicate with them, so you can ask before you start using it.
Now report it to the support team of Binance and they will try to shut down the site quickly.

You are completely right, with my experience on some exchanges even listed on ~~binance~~ Coinmarketcap, I later had to write this article many months ago

Some exchanges list many shitcoins, some have ways you will make a trade and lose all your funds almost completely immediately, some will offer high yield invest but scam program, yet listed on Coinmarketcap.

Same old, same old. Get a massive ROI in a very short time span. Probably see some virtual gains, to be asked for more investments and an extra sum to attempt withdrawls.

I’ve only listed a few sites with the same scammy claim above. This is what they do. They use a similar template, change the offers, and host them on different domains. Then they spam the links all over social media, or use contact site participants to lure people to these sites.

I would just add, even if some exchange is listed on coingecko or coinamarketcap, this does not necessarily mean that there is no risk of fraud. we have seen it many times.
