It is possible to create a custom BIOS for a NVidia 10xx series card - they have a tool that can be accessed to make the checksum that will let it work - but 78 Mhash on ETH is NOT credable for a 1080 ti.

Keep us updated please. I would like to see your progress as Pascal GPUs are incredibly energy efficient.

Have you guys heard anything else about pushing the Bios around? I truly believe that there is a lot more potential inside the 10 series cards than we're being allowed to use...

No there is not any bios out there. Because it's locked by NVIDIA.

Or you break the code!

I do not want to hassle here but can't belive that this is true.
First nvidia has encrypted bioses, you can't play with them, second to jump x3 , if you would say 45 i would belive in this more Wink

But as user have much posts and long time member here i assume he is not lying , only he maybe "think" that is possible as adaseb say so, maybe output shows that, but pool won't show same result.

I would like to see this working Wink

I think it's quite possible using liquid nitrogen. For example you can overvoltage GPU core up to two times if you unlock the voltage. But it's too expensive and power consumption will be about 400-500W. So as an experiment it's interesting, but practically useless.

Ist just a question.

Im not offering anything at the Moment.

Im developing custom Bios mods for different Cards and different algos...

And yes we got 78 MHS on a GTX 1080 ti, but ist LN2 Cooled Cheesy

What is so far your Highest Hashrate you got from the GTX 1080 ti?

Cheers

LN2 cooled? really? You can buy another air cooled GTX1080Ti for that price  Grin and money for bag of cakes will still remain

You should verify your speed on the pool.

I've hacked around with various memory straps for various cards and sometimes you can get like 100MH/s out of an Radeon 7950 but once the speed is verified with the pool its completely wrong.

Also aren't Nvidia BIOS locked and encrypted?

After the coming Weekend i will Post few Stats on different Pools for different algos, also different Cards.

You been on this forums longer than me.  1080ti doesn't have memory to profit from eth mining.  This is because GDDR5x doesn't have good timings.  Nvidia lock the bios for 10 series unless I miss something new.
