Just received motherboard today.  Went with 6th gen processor to make things easier.   What specific bios settings do I need to set for this board?

i just started mining very recently and came across this thread while browsing the forum.

i bought the same exact mobo as you and ran into a ton of problem, but also was setting up my first mining rig so i guess that's to be expected. definitely flash the bios to the latest version of the bios located on the biostar site while only on the internal graphics card before you do anything, would be my recommendation. i used a G4400 there's a list of approved CPUs on their site too.

you need to check which bios has come with your motherboard. Maybe you don't need to update your bios, updating bios is always risky, so check first.

Website says update bios before using 7th gen. Don't know if that's old.  But if I need 6th gen to update then ill just use that instead of 7th gen.  7th gen cheaper though.

You have to check the biostar website for information, usually on the bios page you can check if you need or not. Also, you need to check which bios has come with your motherboard.

On the biostar TB250 BTC+, can I run a 7th gen processor or do I need to update the bios first?  And if I need to update the bios, does that require using a 6th gen cpu to do it?
