Hello.
I use 7 MSI GTX 1060 3G on Biostar TB250 with M.2 adapter and all 7 cards are detected and works fine 170 MH/S at 620W power (with +800 MHZ memory overclock MSI Afterburner). The secret is: BIOS update.
Good luck.

Can confirm, 7 cards are detected, and installed in windows but while mining CPU usage will rise to 100% and miner crashes coz of hardware/interrupt errors.

M.2 slot works with Nvidia GPU's, does not work with AMD GPUs.

Update : Working with AMD cards as well.

Please can you help me getting my TB250 working with a 7th GPU with M.2 pcie adapater, I can´t getting to work, can you change something in mobo bios configuration? I have last bios version.

Hey guys,

I just realized that the TB250+ is equipped with 8 PCIe slots... It was also < $75 cheaper than the standard TB250 on Amazon...
Ordered it immediately and am officially returning my TB250. Why waste time trying to configure the M.2 stuff when the upgraded mobo version is actually cheaper!!!?

Now it looks like I'm gonna need 2x 1200 PSUs though...

There is also the version of TB250 PRO BTC with 12 PCIe slots where it is confirmed to work with 12 cards and it has same price with TB250 which has only 6 PCIe slots . Now you can put to good use those 2 PSU x 1200 watt each Wink .

Awesome idea! I think your comment has me completing the 8 card rig with two 750W PSUs and start another rig with the TB250 pro afterwards. Thanks!

Fail to plan, and you plan to fail.

@deadsix Hi, can you specify which biostar board you got AMD's working on.  The TB250, TB250+, or the TB250-PRO?  I only have the tb250

Thanks

What bios settings are you changing to see 7 with the m.2 adapeter?

I tried installing an RX 470 and 480 using an M.2 adapter on my Win10 rig, but couldn't get it to work.

All my GPUs were being detected through Device Manager. But when I fired up Claymore, I received the error: No AMD OPENCL or NVIDIA CUDA GPUs found, exit

Everything went back to normal when I removed the adapter.

Here's the adapter I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073KZW1ZC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have that one too, and a tb350 but they can only add 6 GPU's max, I've only seen a few that you can get 7 or 8 to work. If people get a way to get a 6 GPU mobo to work with 7 or 8, I would also be interested in knowing how Smiley

IF you have the 4G function you can get 8 AMD going using a PCI-E Switch. I have one of the M.2 to 4x PCI-E adapters and have not been able to get any GPU to detect via it.

I can confirm that Z270 works for up to 8 AMD cards. RX480.

The M.2 PCI-E Adapter I have tested on my MSI Z97 pro and MSI Z270-SLI Pro. None detects. I have put alot of time trying to get the M.2 adapter to work. If it does work there must be some magic hidden setting io the bios/driver that is needed.

Is mainboard Biostar TB250 BTC compatible with cheap chinese M.2 to PCIE adapters?
like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-speed-PCI-e-1X-4X-Card-to-NGFF-M-2-M-Key-PCIe-Slot-Converter-Card-Adapter-/322553862111?hash=item4b19b557df:g:G9kAAOSwi8VZP7Uw

Somebody with experiences? I need to use 7GPUs on this mainboard and I have trouble with it.

Also I found another more expensive version
http://eshop.sintech.cn/pcie-4x-ssd-as-ngff-m2-m-key-pcie-ssd-adapter-p-1178.html?zenid=3vmcvlm49d60012rf42v2o3sp1

Make it sense to buy this version?. Or it is the same as cheaper version above from ebay?
