You need to use powered risers, the two molex on the mobo isn't enough to 12 cards or more (Mostly amd cards).

I am using this mobo and i have some problems.

First one of the molex entrance of mobo is 5 pin. Now i am looking for converter because i dont have any 5 pin molex cable.

I can mine with 10 gpu's (asus p106) wiht simple mining. And i am only powering risers. But i couldnt mine at windows more than 8 gpu's.

Do you have any advice?

Windows 10 limitation is 8 amd + 8 nvidia cards, which means 8 per driver. So I guess with this board you can put 8 amd and 4 nvidia + use igpu to control them or vicer versa, 8 nvidia + 4 amd either with or without discrete onboard gpu on cpu.

powering only mobo molex and not pcie risers

What do you mean here? If you mean powering pcie risers, that depends on the gpu you have, if it does not need then no need, for example gtx 1050 dont need any power from the psu as 6 or 8 pin power, so you need to use only the molex, the molex will give 75 watts.

Gpu doesn't matter. I have 1060/1070 and plug the 6 or 8 pin connector of course Smiley
I just ask if someone tested the entire 12 gpus rig with only mobo molex plugged  (two molex onboard) no powering risers.

In a normal 6gpu mobo is the same. I try to power only mobo.. only risers.. both.. always works

Biostar Mining MOBOs' are great, both the BTC and BTC PRO are super. Never had any problems.

I'm a reseller in Europe if anyone would like to order.

The asrock? if yes then I would be very careful with it.

This board is better in all the ways than the asrock alike which has 13 pcie.
why?

Asrock pcie are too close, short circuit.

Hi! I have many 6pcie btc motherboards (biostar asrock) and I always power only the risers and leaving mobo molex unpowered.
WIth new 12pcie mobo I want to do a "clean" installation and want to know if someone use this mobo powering only mobo molex and not pcie risers. i'm talking about nvidia.. with amd I'm quite sure that isn't possible

It would be quite interesting to see that mining rig. 12 GPU case and what PSUs do you plan to use?
