It's not obvious to me how bip68 helps with escrow, are you maybe thinking of bip112 ? (checksequenceverify)

Core 0.12.1 seems to improve on the escrow possibilities of Bitcoin. Is there an article on the current and proposed use of Bitcoin for escrow services. The previous version's any-2-from-3 signatures seemed to be a useful feature, but it seems there are some extra possibilities such as time locking.
