Perhaps we should strap a raspberri pi computer to squirrels with a USB wireless thumbdrive so that when you are in the park and you see one of these cute squirrels with a computer attached to their back you can "love them" by sending it some BTC.

Just have someone plug the computer in for a couple of hours a day to charge.

It will be easy to catch the squirrels to do this daily because they will be slowed down by the machine attached to them.

Then the squirrel will feel more important because it is not just a little rodent gathering food, he is an animal with some processing power. He will feel very special among his squirrel friends for this.

Or perhaps we can brand a QR code on some baby seals to make them feel loved.

This is the cruelest thing I have ever seen.
First, most birds do not fly at night.
Second.... why the hell would you do this? The poor animal would be driven mad by the device you clamped onto it.

What about RFID tagging sharks. A RFiD chip shot in the dorsal fin of a great white. Could be some new kind of extreme sport. You swim around with a RFID reader maybbe with some bait around your to make it easier.

The bird robots have a problem: their light battery only allows for them to fly two o three minutes, or so.
But maybe cars could beam them electricity wirelessly. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_energy_transfer).
Still, I think birds would be better with the lights I envision, but I may be wrong. I don-t know that much of animals psychology, etc.
Indeed, most people, if not all, completly dislike this idea of mine.
So yeah, maybe bird robots is more cool Wink

Bats or owls would be better as birds in general don't fly at night. They would also starve to death in a few days being stressed out by the flashes following them.

Ahh.. because environmentalists don't already hate Bitcoin enough due to perceived power wastage in mining?
Now they can hate us for using animals as billboards too?
(seeing as many birds use colours and appearance to find a mate - putting flashing lights on them is a pretty mean thing to do)

People will still hate you for visual pollution if you release these to roam the skies - but they definitely have some cool factor.
