I get the same feeling, but I still celebrate it with my loved ones. You know some barbeques, grilled fish, lasagna & pizza and an ice cold beer usually will make my day. Just as simple as that as long as I am with my familia.
Well I don't really in celebrating birthday because it reminds me am a year closer to my death.

Anniversary dates only. I see no reason to celebrate old age. The realization that you grow old every year is not the best.

You can celebrate anytime you want so why would you wait a few months until it's your birthday to make a party? I don't give it much thought to be honest. You only have one birthday and that's the day you were born. All the succeeding years aren't really that special. It's all in the mind lol. Usually I just buy some cakes and offer to my friends at work and it's all.

I think that is a great occassion to be with people, that you love, with your family or with you friends. And also it`s possibility to energize by their warm words from heart and to thank them. If i had a husband or bf, i would spend time with him. We could stay at home, eat, listen to music, watch a film and just fun. Life is too short to be sad. Rememeber it! It's funny how when you are young you can't wait for your birthday to come around. It seems like eighteen is too far away. Like you never will get to the age of majority. You can't wait to be able to go to a bar to buy your first drink legally. Unfortunately, once you become of legal age the years seem to come by quicker and quicker. Today I find myself less willing to celebrate each passing birthday. It probably doesn't help that I have too many obligations and it is hard to find the time to do something special.
