I downloaded the latest client but I dont see a conf file in the folder. Do I have to make one manually?

Ditto - just downloaded the 4.2 and 4.3 (the 2 mirrors have different files in them!) and although 4.3 will run (4.2 is only replacement .exe files, presumably for a previous version), it fails to create a .conf file (either locally or in the /AppData subfolder).  The nodes cannot therefore be added and the client totally fails to connect to the network, let alone synch.

This is poor and totally unnecessary.

Also, have checked through numerous posts asking for links to the blockchain - not one of the replies has actually included a link to where it can be downloaded - only explorers and the QT/source files. Will someone PLEASE provide a link to the blockchain?

Thank you!

Amended to add how I got this working

1. Download 4.3
2. Put it somewhere you can navigate to it easily in a command prompt
3. Open command prompt and navigate to the folder
4. open with the following command:   bitbar-qt.exe -connect=84.200.4.218

It should then connect to the network and synch - mine did . . . finally!

Hi There,

i get the same error.. still have the new client... some mined coins does not reach my wallet.. client is continously out of sync..
what can i do??

Sad

Did you get both the 4.1 and 4.2 updates?  (I believe 4.3 is both of these combined) https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4om3KFtcvGYV3NGdmdOZEZ3c2s&usp=sharing

Once you have the newest client, follow these instructions:

The client will continue to work as normal, so you can choose to ignore the message.  Whether you want to invest time in a coin that the developer has neglected is your choice.  Wink

My bitbar wallet says "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers".

I even tried deleting the blockchain, database file, and restoring my wallet all at the same time. Then open it, it downloads the block chain, and then this warning comes back up. I sent some coins to exchange which processed but was never confirmed so are those coins just lost? And how do I fix the bug, or is it a bitbar problem that everyone is having?
