BitBin is currently down due to a web host related security breach.

Will the existing paste's be restored / made available again?

Is there any estimated time of restoration for BitBin?

Surely the admins of the web host have some for of status update you could pass on.

It's up atm.

The solution was "*********".

I'm sure I tried that in the first run! Oh wait, I must have forgotten either one of the letters or somehow went dyslexic and missed something.

I even googled "what is more important than" to get some suggestions. Google, Y U NO SMART?  Angry

EDIT: 15:36 31st Aug 2012 (UTC): solution scrambled on request and post changed a bit. I usually don't censor on request what I write but I thought this time it made sense to do it.

This page (http://www.bitbin.it/index.php) is currently offline. However, because the site uses CloudFlare's Always Online™

I hadn't noticed that and had typed more than I really wanted to lose.  Fortunately, after hitting submit and seeing that the page was served by Cloudflare, I was able to use the Back button to be able to copy to clipboard what I had typed.

So anyway ..., simply reporting that the site is offline.

The site works just like an ordinary pastebin-type site.

BitBin allows you to earn bitcoins in form of our ad revenue sharing program.

This is a great use of Bitcoin.  Paste sites are pretty much interchangeable so there's little reason not to use this over pastebin or any other.

It is about time services that rely on crowdsourced content reward the content contributors with more than useless badges and karma points.

Couldn't agree more. BitBin is an awesome idea.

I have just launched my newest Bitcoin site, BitBin :
http://www.bitbin.it

The site works just like an ordinary pastebin-type site. The site allows you to upload 'pastes', short pieces of text that can be anything from source code to chat logs. BitBin allows you to earn bitcoins in form of our ad revenue sharing program. Just enter your Bitcoin address when submitting the paste and you will automatically get your share from our ad revenue based on the amount of unique hits your paste gets in comparison to all other monetized pastes as whole.

In addition to bitcoin revenue share, BitBin also has syntax highlighting and optional client-side paste encryption.

Since the site has just been launched, there may be some small hiccups with the site. Please let me know if you face any issues. Smiley
