How can you people trust this service when client rating is C and below? Default rate must be quite high?

Maybe the standards for rating are quite high? But as far as I know Bitbond is not so popular like other lending sites, BTCjam or Bitcoinlending Club, and there are not so big investors there.

They do request video verificatio and what more they want you to present your passport and they will not accept any ID besides that. Well that's what they asked me. Maybe your internet is slow that's why the video is not appearing. Try restarting your internet or use a different browser.

Yes, Bitbond now requires video identification for investors as well. This is to be in line with standards counteracting money laundering in Germany. It's mentioned in their newsletter.

My video identification went fine but im sure support will help you if the blue screen persists.
That is quite weird. If someone asks me to give video id,I would rather keep myself away from it.
they're requiring this such thing due too many fraud lending request so it's a win-win solution because there's nothing to lose and i can say that it's fair enough, they're requiring this also for the sake of their investors safety so nothing to be murmuring about

I'd rather go through this as well if it's to minimize fraud lending request, since it's an added security for the investors, it's just that even the investors has to do this?
I guess they have to be seen as complying with germany's standard in counter-acting moneylaundering.
 * I've done the ID verification in a local exchange where you have to take a selfie with ID right next to your face. And now there's video.
What's next. It'll be the same as the banks.

This is how the anonimity of Bitcoin users goes away. I don't like this at all. I'm aware that lending sites have to have stored users data but this just seems too much for me.

Hi All

Had an email from Bitbond with link that i need to confirm ID via a video link.

I did not use the link provided in the email (in case it was a scam) but looged into the site and went to the identity page after logging in and it is asking for it.

BUT when i 'start' the process, it takes me to the window below and does NOTHING ??

I am running Windows 7 upto date and based in UK

Anyone else had this or advise ?

Cheers

 Huh

It all went fine for me and the company they use for identification are very professional and well established in ID verification....

I still had the blue screen after updating Chrome (as they advised) plus with all firewalls/adblocks off...

It worked fine with Mozilla, but i ended up using the App and mobile.

Used my phone, all sorted.

Could you post an update? Was this legitimate or not? Did you end of speaking with anyone at bitbond?

And d you end up needing to verify your identity via video?

Thanks

Not got all the info at hand atm, but googled the hell out of the company they use to confirm details....

The ONLY way i could get to the link to confirm was via the Bitbond website, all seemed very professional and legit....Only have 1BTC (with expected return of 225) in there so not really worried..

I read their Terms of service and there is nothing there about video verification specified. They required extender KYC procedure.
You can read about it in their ToS: "§ 7 Verification of the borrower after the rating" - but no details of video vitrification is given.

In case of doubt your best bet is asking support about your issue. Or try to access that verification procedure one more time using different device/browser.
