They are scammers. Professional scammers. No way we can get our money back from them.

He responded to my email and we chatted on Skype as well. He said he is not linked with this scam, maybe someone used his email to do it. He dont know about ITBOX company. He said he will look into it.

I said him that you need to resolve this issue first, before i give you any development work. But he unfriended me from Skype.

Yes, it is indicated to make their details public:  name, country, email, etc.
It could help us and also avoid other scams.
I guess they did not respond to Paypal dispute.

Those scammers might have closed their paypal accounts too.. If that is the case, paypal also cannot help us.. anyway let us hope for a positive response from paypal

Unfortunately i never paid using paypal.  Just to get 10 percent discount i paid using bitcoin.  My biggest mistake...

The Paypal account could be real or not ...
But it could be a starting point to find who it is behind this scam.
Maybe the user which pay through Paypal can tell us more.

I think you are spot on. Maybe even share who it is publicly (although I imagine a scam like this that paypal account is fake too).

Correct me if I am wrong, but if Bitbox's PayPal account is real, then you have the identity of the person behind Bitbox.

And when you have the identity, every victim could sue him and demand compensation.

To make a working version of the software ... I don't think it is so eazy:  you need a good developer which know Java Eneteprise.

We paid via Bitcoin, so ... no chance.
I hope you can win the Paypal dispute and recover the funds.

This is the first time I've known this community site and I'm writing about bitbox.(IT-box UG)
I don’t want any more victims coming out..
When I first got to know the bitbox on google,  At that time, the bitbox  was licensing only dice games.
So I asked  development of a crash game and a roulette game.
Then   I made a contract. On Nov,01-2016  as follow:
Crash game ( custom made) $ 1,900
Roulette game (Custom made) $1,300
Dice game (Licensing ) $600
Faucet site (Custom made) $500
Total : $4,300
The project ends until the end of December.2016
The last payment was made on January 7th  2017   because they were all over
However, when I checked the crash game, I could not open the site because there were many bugs.
1.   balance fluctuation according to betting,
2.   Zero balance during game,
3.   The game has already started but Betting is possible during the game
4.   Not working and double text on Auto-bet
They not  resolved the bug for two months after my last payment
I've been asking for so many times, but they do not seem to be capable of eliminating bugs
Finally , I asked for a refund  and  they can’t refund  because they already paid developer
Is this a common sense?
Even other games  Data is not stable   for example ,  2FA Auth not working , I did not start the game after my first membership for test , but there are already thousands of bets recorded in the user profile data.
And to the ownership Right on the contract, I have the right to use and sell the crash game and roulette game exclusively, but I was amazed at how they were selling the games here

Did you buy their platform as well? The owner is still active till today, but he did not say something about this serious accusation against him. He is completely ignoring the issues, not a good behavior and he deserve to get the red trust. Hope no other people being scammed by this bad guy.

Nothing works now, but we have all the proofs: payments, pictures, invoices, emails, Skype chat, etc.
They are naive if they think they can delete a website and go away

If he file a complaint it in our country the action taken will be slow.  By that time they may escape also.  It is better to file a complaint in his country

You don't need to live in Munchen to place a complaint.
You can do it in your country (where you are resident)
And their main office is in Croatia.

We should check if some one in this forum lives in munich?  If yes, they can complaint on our behalf. I don't know if the complain on the above link will work.  Anyway no harm in trying

Maybe someone can help/guide us how/where to report this fraud (someone which is familiar with this kind of problems - a lawyer, etc)
I mean I can go to my local police office in my country and make a complaint, but I don't know if this is the right way (the best way to get a result).

Can you please tell me what do you mean by unfair.  We are doing everything provably fair and there is nothing unfair here.  If a player wins its his good luck.  If he loses its his bad luck.  There is nothing done intentionally here...

To develop a simple dice game or roulette game is not that hard. Its just getting rolled some really fair randomizer, but that will make you lose your money as hosters / bank. And taking part in something unfair, would ruin a developers karma, and thats not acceptable to me.

The problem is that we can't find a good (and trusted) one.
I never understand that:  there are many Moneypot applications but nobody know who made these ... I only get "offers" from scammers or guys which try to sell me free scripts.

I paid and got nothing.  They said they will give free server and deliver the moneypot version first on 5 march and the other one in next 30 days.  But nothing is delivered yet.  I didn't get anything from them yet.  Now it is like i gave them the money for free.. That too 1700 USD approx is really huge...

I mean if you paid for it, it must be on your server right? Or did you pay for something and get absolutely nothing? That is worse than what most people are saying...

I dont think we can get the games from their servers.  Instead we should develop from the scratch...

I don't know a trusted programmer who could do this type of project unfortunately.

I am not even sure if you can all download the installed games on your servers and get a programmer to fix it all.

We also have a copy of their 3 games (not working of course) on a server as we planned to become an affiliate for Bitbox to help sell the software in the future. Being an affiliate for Bitcoin Gambling sites is our normal business and gambling software seemed like an area we could also get into.

I refused to write any content about their site or the software on this forum or our website until we had a site that was 100% working. That way I could feel confident that the product was not a scam and be happy to promote it.

The correspondence with Bitbox has been slow and last I heard from them was about a week back. I have actually spoken to one of their coders on skype before. He was a nice sounding technical guy but didn't know a lot specifically about Bitcoin Dice. I noticed a lot of issues would be buyers could have with the software that seemed a bit strange. I won't list them all but some were incredibly obvious like not being able to roll under and over, not being able to set a max possible win as opposed to a max bet and having investors only get a share of the profits not 100%.

I know they are flat out as lots of people have been buying their software so I still believe there is a chance they could come through and get all the back work done.

My suggestion is that no one orders anything further from these guys until they catch up on previous work done. If the work is finally done then we should take back the scam accusation (assuming the software actually works) and if they don't get it done at least no more people will lose their money.

If there is a big list of people who bought the software and it is not working, maybe you could all get together and actually get a trusted programmer to get at least one working model for everyone (just thinking out loud here). If I knew someone who could do it and it wasn't too expensive I would even consider paying for it from www.bitcoingamblingreviews.com (and later become your affiliate ).

I am still trying to contact Bitbox to get an update and will let everyone here know if I hear anything. Please don't PM me with regards to your issues with Bitbox (I have been getting a few everyday) and make them visible in a thread like this instead.

If your friend is still interested in getting into bitcoin gambling, I'd be happy to give him a complete copy of bustabit source for free to get started (something I normally charge 2 BTC for). It wouldn't come with support or anything, but if he or your are familiar with node.js and postgres it's not overly hard to run.

Bitbox uses Apache-Coyote(Tomcat) not NGINX as their server which means its true that they uses Java as their backend, they uses .JSP (javaserver pages) which is similar .PHP or .ASP websites.

I can confirm that they scammed us. I have tried contacting them with a new email and they were replying instantly.

The one who introduced himself as Matthias, whose full name is Jörg Matthias seems to be the owner or something. Found this after I looked up their company details. I'll be digging more soon.

Hmm..I have never heard a such site could be built on Java, but seems like it's true that you learn something new everyday.

Anyway there is not script (like php, mysql, etc), they say it use Java ... sockets .. too complicated.

Woah, I though something "fucked up" will happen with that site, the complaints started a bit ago. Did you ever even got the files? or they wanted to install it on their server because so no one can have the files?

How is it possible that so many (of the 28) users have a negative balance? (I have never run a gambling site, so excuse my ignorance here). Is this a test site, or an actual "casino"? Judging from the fact there is a Bitcoin wallet with API keys, I will for the time being assume this is a "real" site.

I used "demo" & "demo" to login and have a look around.

I will tell you the short story:

One of my (recent made) friends entered in the bitcoin world.
He is a newbie and he called his new friend (me) to help him with some advices: how to earn, buy, exchange/trade bitcoins, mine, bet, play games for bitcoin, etc.
He know that I own Bitvertise.net and he wanted to buy it for 1000 eur and make his entry in bitcoin advertising world.
I told him I wont sell it (now I regret), and he asked me in what he can invest some money (a bitcoin related project).
I suggest to my friend to make something related to Bitcoin gambling.

I found these guys - Bitbox.site - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitbox-run-your-own-bitcoin-gambling-site-1794654 - they have a bitcoin platform for gambling, my friend saw it, like it and since he does not speak english (well) he told me that I must talk with Bitbox support, buy the platform and take care off all the necesarry stuff until is ready to be launched.

I have contacted @bitcoinplay_xyz (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitcoinplayxyz-726116) and chat with him via Skype.
After a long talk we agree to buy their platform for 300$ (they offered a Christmas discount) paid in 3 equal parts.

They start to "work"

They "worked" for 20 days, they installed all kind of shits on my server, fu*ked my other websites, and finaly they told me that their software can't run on my dedicated server and they will transfer the files to their servers wich are 100% compatible (and they will offer 1 year of hosting)
Another 7-8 days and in the end they made it. The website url is: www.bitcoingamesclub.com (now is offline, because the scammers are gone)
My friend was happy.

After 3 days my friend call me (it was desperate) and tell me that someone won 10 btc on his website.

I have contacted BitBox, they admit that there was a big bug in Crash game, they removed that game and they told us that it will be fixed soon.
We continue the conversation with BitBox team via email (when they answer) and I told them that they ruined our reputation and we agree that they will make a roulette game integrated with Moneypot.
They offered a 300$ price (50% discount) and they deducted 100$ remaining payment from the intial project.

After we pay the last 300$: no more replys from Bitbox (12 days passed) via email, PM on Bitcointalk, Skype

Now they are gone!
In my opinion these bugs can be placed by BitBox itself in order to scam the future casino owners.

The result: 500$ lost and our reputation altered because of these scammers.

We know that there are other users which are scammed too (some of them posted in Bitbox thread)
